Location of all of Quip’s cousins in Constance

Family Business is one of Constance ‘s main missions and it consists of finding all of Quip’s cousins, that sort of mole who runs a shop in the main base of the game.

This is undoubtedly one of the most interesting side quests, as Quip sells many useful items, and his shop’s inventory will increase each time you find one of his cousins. You can buy things like photographs, paint bottles , heart fragments , and more.

The only problem is that the cousins are very scattered throughout the game map, but now in this post I’ll show you the location of each one of them.

Quip

  • Map Area : Cavernous Chambers
  • Necessary Brush Techniques : Paint Dip.

It’s practically at the beginning; you can almost never miss it. Once you have the Paint Dive technique (the dash), you need to go to the nearby Sanctuary room. If you go to the top of the room, you’ll see a wall of spiky plants that you can pass through with this ability, and after that, you can talk to Quip.

After this conversation, he’ll give you the “Family Business” mission. You’ll then find him at the main base where you can interact with him to buy some items. Remember, the more cousins you find, the more things he’ll sell , so talk to him again after finding each one.

Quap

  • Map Area : Floral Forge.
  • Necessary Brush Techniques : Brushstroke.

You can also find this cousin almost at the beginning of the game, specifically when you head to the Floral Forge.

Go to the area marked in purple on the map and you’ll find him easily. In that room, go to the right, jumping on the platforms that move in circles, then jump to the right and you’ll find Quap.

Quep

  • Map Area : Cavernous Chambers.
  • Necessary Brush Techniques : Wall Dive.

We return to Cavernous Chambers, but keep in mind that you won’t be able to reach this cousin if you don’t yet have the Wall Dive ability (the one that lets you grab onto walls).

Go to the purple room, but take the left path. There you’ll need to use the Wall Dive ability several times to reach Quep. Remember that to cross spiked walls from top to bottom, you need to grapple onto the wall and stay attached to it to descend .

Stefan

  • Map Area : Astral Academy.
  • Necessary Brush Techniques : Brushstroke.

This one, for some reason, doesn’t follow the naming pattern of the other cousins, but he is a cousin. Anyway, you’ll find him very easily if you go to the room indicated in the photo, which, as you can see, is very close to the Astral Academy’s elevator room.

Once you reach that room, keep going to the left along the path below and you will eventually find it.

Quop

Hidden Breakable Wall to Find Quop
  • Map Zone : Catastrophic Crossroads.
  • Necessary Brush Techniques : Paint Clone.

This is undoubtedly the most hidden of all and the one you’re probably missing if you’re only missing one from the list.

You need to go to the indicated room in Catastrophic Crossroads and find the area I’ve shown you in the other photo (at the bottom). If you look closely at the photo, where I’ve added the red “x”, the floor under the spikes is broken .

Place a Paint Clone there (they can be placed in the air) and explode it to open a hidden path that leads to Quop.

Rewards for Surpassing “Family Business”

Beyond everything you can buy in Quip and his cousins’ store, upon completing the “Family Business” mission, Quip will give you the ” Extra Heartbeat ” Inspiration.

In addition, you can now also buy two very interesting items:

  • Health Vial : Another circle next to the health bar where you accumulate “spare healing” to later take a healing potion.
  • Unstable Pompeii : The item you need to complete the “Pompeii Trouble” mission from the NPC “Bertrand”.

And that’s it! Have you found all of Quip’s cousins in Constance yet? This NPC sells some really interesting things, doesn’t he? Did you know about the item needed for the “Pompil’s Trouble” quest? Leave a comment!
