FISHING GUIDE AND ALL FISH IN HADES

FISHING GUIDE AND ALL FISH IN HADES

Fishing in Hades is a minigame that we will find available multiple times in the rivers of each room, these events will appear randomly during our escape attempts in our Hades game .

The main function of these is to get rewards; the most common will be Gems, Chthonic Keys and Nectars , but there are also more complex specimens that can give us a certain amount of Darkness , an Ambrosia or even a Titan’s Blood .

To collect these rewards we will have to wait for our escape attempt to end successfully or unsuccessfully and once we return to Hades’ Abode, look for the cook in the canteen to give him the fish and get our rewards. It is very important not to forget to visit the Chef , because if we start another escape attempt, we will lose the fish from the previous one.

    HOW TO FISH IN HADES

    How to Fish in Hades

Fishing will not be available from the beginning of the game , we will have to acquire the fishing rod in the Contractor of the Residence, which will cost us a Diamond . The requirements to be able to commission this object are: to have arrived at least once at the Temple of the Styx and to commission the contractor of the dwelling “stay of the source of Tartarus” and “List of Minor Omens”.

Unfortunately, we can’t fish whenever we want. Upon reaching a room, we will sometimes notice a beam of light on the water, blood or magma in the river, which will indicate that we can fish at this point; Don’t worry if you don’t see the point in the room, since at the end of the fight a kind of bell will sound, indicating that there is a fish in the river.

In order to use the point, the first thing we will have to do is defeat the enemies that are in the room (if there are none, we can fish calmly), after this we simply have to approach and press the R button on the Switch (in other devices may be different) to start fishing.

The fish will pull the buoy and we will have to wait until it is completely submerged to press the R button again to capture it; At most a fish will be able to pull the buoy up to 3 times, so if it does this, you will know that as soon as the buoy moves it will be time to catch it. In fishing we have three possibilities:

    1. If we fish right when the fish bites, we have a 50/50 chance that the fish will be Rare or Legendary.
    2. In the event that we fish but take time to press the button, the fish will have a 50/50 chance that it is Rare or Common.
    3. Finally, if more than a second passes and we still haven’t pressed the button, we will lose the fish.

ALL TYPES OF FISH AND THEIR REWARDS

Next we will see all the types of fish that inhabit the Underworld and in Greece, the rarity of each one and the reward that they will give us for delivering them to the Chef in the House of Hades.

    MATTY

«I am very familiar with the so-called evil eye, a curse that was placed on me countless times while I was still breathing; envy, hatred, distrust, bad feelings concentrated in a look. The phenomenon is supposed to be derived from an ancient sea creature.”

    • Location : Chaos.
    • Rarity : Common.
    • Reward : 100 Darkness.

    PRODUSA

“What is the origin of life? It’s a question asked by many of the philosophers I’ve met or heard of, even those who live here in the Underworld and already know something about death. And it is that, despite everything, the only thing they know about life is that it arose from Chaos. We know that the gods and primordial forces arose from the Titan, but also lesser life forms such as the Produsa. Whether the species still survives, no one knows.”

    • Location : Chaos.
    • Rarity : Rare.
    • Reward : 250 Darkness.

    VACURRAYA

“It is said that before the heavens, the earth and the Underworld existed, there was only Chaos, an infinite void of nothing, from which all existence as we know it arose. But there are creatures that live on the edge of nowhere, where our sight cannot reach. Perhaps in Chaos, creatures like this seek solitude, just as a child seeks his mother’s breast. Or perhaps they are just waiting for the chance to assume a form less alien to the rest of us, thanks to their bodies of living clay that can be molded at the whim of their creator.

    • Location : Chaos.
    • Rarity : Legendary.
    • Reward : 500 Darkness.

    MOLORCO

“From the looks of it, it is very likely that they stowaways on the outer hull of Charon’s ship, sticking just below the waterline and securing their way from the surface to the depths down the River Styx. Once they adapted to the blood-colored waters of the river, they became as common as the everlasting shadows, and seem quite happy to have reached these depths.

    • Location : Tartarus.
    • Rarity : Common.
    • Reward : 5 Gems.

    BARNACLE

«My mother taught me to recognize countless inhabitants of the waters, although of this variety I learned much only in the dark Tartarus, since its only habitat was the deepest corners of the Styx. I believe that one day they were sea creatures and, carried by the river, their spirits came here, where they took on a form of non-life.

    • Location : Tartarus.
    • Rarity : Rare.
    • Reward : 20 Gems.

    SCILLATIC

“There is a monstrous sea beast that shakes far up in the waters of Poseidon. We took great care to avoid crossing the trenches even when I was a sailor. This unusual species preserves the flats of its dozen heads. The relationship of these creatures to Scylla, in appearance or parentage, remains unclear, as no one has bothered to ask Scylla herself.”

    • Location : Tartarus.
    • Rarity : Legendary.
    • Reward : 30 Gems.

    SLAVAG

Phlegeton isn’t in the top 10 places I’d spend eternity given a choice, but the Slavag seems happy as a clostra, swimming in the river of flames. It is almost impossible to detect with the naked eye, as it blends into the boiling magma, where it feeds on molten mineral fragments and who knows what else.

    • Location : Asphodels.
    • Rarity : Common.
    • Reward : 1 Chthonic Key.

    CRUSTATERM

“The crustaterm, with its fireproof, armored shell, is perfectly adapted to survive inconspicuously, even thrive, in the fiery river that runs through the entire expanse of the Asphodels. In the ocean, similar creatures are easy prey, but not this magma-eating variant, which is often left alone. However, some do come up from the riverbed to mate.”

    • Location : Asphodels.
    • Rarity : Rare.
    • Reward : 3 Chthonic Keys.

    FLAME EATER

Though the lineage of some of the river creatures of the Underworld can be traced back to their surface kin, the flame-eater appears to be descended from monstrosities born from hell itself. Its twisted tentacles and scaly body are reminiscent of the Ladon serpent, though at this time it is unknown if they are offspring of it or some other monster.”

    • Location : Asphodels.
    • Rarity : Legendary.
    • Reward : 5 Chthonic Keys.

    CLOSTRA

“Common clostra abounds in the misty waters of the River Lethe, which flows between the hills and valleys of Elysium. Normally, it holds its shell closed with such force that it is impossible to open it. I have heard that they feed on the memories of the fallen, giving the River of Oblivion its distinctive quality. Although I don’t remember who told me.”

    • Location : Elysium.
    • Rarity : Common.
    • Reward : 1 Nectar.

    CARRACEO

“The Elysee carraceo appears to be the ghost of a very similar type of surface fish, with multicolored scales and a placid, almost contemplative temperament. Its formidable silhouette crosses the waters of the Lethe River, stirring up the thick mists that float on its surface.»

    • Location : Elysium.
    • Rarity : Rare.
    • Reward : 2 Nectars.

    HYDROQUINE

“Seldom have I seen an aquatic creature as splendid as the hydroquine, and being raised by such a peculiar mother, I assure you I have seen many different species. At Elysium, I have seen many heroes gaze endlessly at the waters of the River Lethe, hoping to catch a glimpse of these majestic creatures.”

    • Location : Elysium.
    • Rarity : Legendary.
    • Reward : 3 Nectars.

    OLOMENO

“This is a most bizarre river creature, swimming on the border between the surface and the Underworld, and whose existence takes place in an intermediate state between life and death. She swims forever against the current in the Styx, which constantly threatens to drag her into the depths of the abyss, but her strength allows her to fight against this push.

    • Location : Temple of the Styx.
    • Rarity : Common.
    • Reward : 20 Gems.

    SCRATCH

«The rockfish is a bed fish, evidently much more daring than its saltwater relatives, since it dares to inhabit the waters of the Styx River, near where they plunge into the abyss. Its ability to swell defensively not only protects it, but prevents the waters from washing it into the Underworld itself.”

    • Location : Temple of the Styx.
    • Rarity : Rare.
    • Reward : 40 Gems.

    PETREVAL

“The harpoon-shaped hard-billed petreval is an elusive species, feeding on the smaller river creatures that dwell too close to the gates of the Underworld. By killing them, their souls are prepared to continue the journey. It is very likely that it was once an ocean dweller capable of adapting to fresh water, which discovered fertile feeding ground in the River Styx.”

    • Location : Temple of the Styx.
    • Rarity : Legendary.
    • Reward : 150 Gems.

    TROUT

“On the surface, we distinguished between the aquatic creatures that live in the fresh waters of rivers and lakes that dot the land, and those of Poseidon’s salty domain. Among the first, one of the most common was the trout, although here in the Underworld, it is impossible to find it. Perhaps this is ironic, since the fate of his brief life is to be little more than food for other creatures, be they birds, bears, or men. By the time her tiny soul joins us in the Underworld, she is indistinguishable from other lesser creatures, for they all exist in peace in this place, having nothing to fear anymore.

    • Location : Greece.
    • Rarity : Common.
    • Reward : 1 Diamond.

    BASS

“The seas and rivers of my country, on the surface, teemed with aquatic life, and I would venture to say that my people were becoming more adept at capturing such creatures. I don’t have time just to mention the different species that were offered in the markets, including exotic varieties from other countries reserved for kings. The tendency of fish to spoil quickly turned out to be a solvable problem, as they could be preserved in brine or cured with precious salts, preserving their nutritional heat for a while. Such is the ingenuity of our mortal minds! I have heard that fish is now traded in all corners of the planet, for its delicate flavor and great nutritional value. But we don’t enjoy those varieties here.”

    • Location : Greece.
    • Rarity : Rare.
    • Reward : 1 Ambrosia.

    STURGEON

“The monstrous sturgeon is a king among fish. Some are huge, and their bony spines give them considerable defense. It is not surprising, then, that they are so sought after. Catching such a creature means silencing hunger for days, in addition to the fact that its capture can be the origin of legendary stories. We offer the most delicate meats we can find to the gods, but we usually keep the fish for ourselves. Poseidon, in his infinite generosity, doesn’t seem to mind, though I understand he’s still pretty strict about keeping his freshwater species from crossing the threshold between realms. It seems that even the kings of fish must obey a higher power.”

    • Location : Greece.
    • Rarity : Legendary.
    • Reward : 1 Titan’s Blood.

    SKELETAL LURE

The Skeletal Lure is an object that can come out randomly in Charon’s well; This object costs 60 Charon Pence and upon acquiring it will enable us a fishing point in the next room we visit (if it is possible in that room, otherwise it will be activated in the next room where it is possible).

It is highly recommended to buy this item every time it comes out to help us complete the River Dwellers section in the Codex. We can also use the Persuasive Fate (if it is the one you have equipped in your Night Mirror talents ) to alter the products that are sold in the well of Charon and look for the lure in this way.

Another object from Charon’s well that can be useful to us is the Light of Ixion , which will ensure a door to Chaos in the next possible room. The fish found in Chaos are the most difficult to get (it is already quite complex to get a fishing point in this room) and the more times we can visit it, the more likely we will get a fishing point in that room.

LIST OF MINOR OMENS OF THE FATES

List of Omens of the Fates in Hades

In the List of Minor Omens of the Fates we will find a prophecy related to fishing, which consists of the following:

    DENIZENS OF THE DEEP

“Someday, the son of the god of the dead will trap a significant number of river dwellers (including a particularly rare species), impressing even Poseidon himself.”

    • Reward : 250 Gems.
    • Conditions : Catch 25 fish and at least one of them must be very rare, then look for Poseidon to talk to him.
