by Today we will talk about another of the permanent objects that we can get in Hades to unlock certain improvements: Gems and Diamonds . Some objects that have a certain relationship and that we could say that one is the improved version of the other since their improvements are closely related.
In this post I will tell you what each of them is for as well as all the methods to obtain them, that I already told you that the Diamond costs its own and it will be quite a herculean task to collect it in large quantities. So nothing, here we go!
WHAT ARE GEMS AND WHAT ARE THEY FOR?
The Gems are the main currency of Hades when we are outside the Underworld (we use Charon’s Obols there) and they are used to acquire above all aesthetic improvements for our lair (for the entire building itself) in the Dwelling Contractor .
However, not everything is aesthetic, we also have some improvements that will affect our journey through hell, such as getting healing sources to appear occasionally in each of the game areas or the chests that give us rewards when we overcome a challenge. to defeat enemies.
For other similar improvements we already have the Diamonds, but we will talk about these a little further down; Let’s continue with the Gems.
HOW TO GET GEMS IN HADES
There are several methods:
- Accessing the doors with the Gem symbol and overcoming the encounter (a gem symbol like the one in the photo in the post).
- There is a Blessing of Poseidon that can give us random items, Gems being possible.
- Chaos also has Blessings that will help us get more Gems.
- In the Wretched Moneychanger you can sometimes get it by bartering for other items.
- In Charon’s store.
- Fishing they usually give us very often, although they can also give us other objects.
- Through the List of Omens, there are plenty of Gem rewards.
WHAT IS THE DIAMOND AND WHAT IS IT FOR?
The Diamond is a very valuable object and we could say that it is the improved version of the Gems . We will also have to use it on the Dwelling Contractor.
There will come a point in which the improvements (note that there are very interesting improvements with Diamonds, such as unlocking the Erebo or that by obtaining certain improvements such as Gems we obtain additional objects or bonuses) instead of asking for Gems, they already ask for Diamonds. We can also purchase songs for Orpheus.
Normally they will ask us for a few for each improvement, but of course… these are quite complicated to achieve, so it will not be easy to unlock all these improvements.
HOW TO GET DIAMONDS IN HADES
As I have already told you, it is a quite complicated object to obtain in large quantities. In that sense it is similar to the Ambrosia and the Blood of Titan , but I leave you here the list with all the available forms. The truth is that knowing all these methods, obtaining them becomes much more enjoyable:
- We will get a Diamond unit every time we defeat the Hydra for the first time , which is the second boss of Hades and the truth is that it is quite simple even at high heat levels. We can do this with each weapon in the game , so we can get 1 diamond for each weapon (at the same level of heat, now we enter that topic).
- Miserable Trader will occasionally barter with this item as well, but as with most chunky items, he asks too much for it and I never recommend it unless you have some left over for some reason (which is not normal).
- Some quests from the List of Omens will also reward us with Diamonds:
- A Violent Past: They will reward us with 6 Diamonds, we have to unlock all the Aspects of the Weapons of Hades (not counting the hidden ones like Arthur’s and others).
- The Useless Fusilería: 5 Diamonds. To unlock the first prize of Bones (the NPC that we can hit to practice with the Weapons), you will have to reach level 8 of heat, which is really the thing hahaha.
- An Easy Job: 4 Diamonds. By unlocking 30 Abode Contractor upgrades.
- In the shop of Charon of Styx (the last area of the game) a Diamond can sometimes appear for sale at an exorbitant price (about 1000 Charon Obols), if you have a lot of money left over, the truth is that it is worth the investment .
