LOCATION OF THE TRUFFLE AND TRUFFLE IN TEARS OF THE KINGDOM

LOCATION OF THE TRUFFLE AND TRUFFLE IN TEARS OF THE KINGDOM

The Truffle is clearly one of the most useful objects and one that I highly recommend you farm in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom since its healing properties are incredible and one will be enough to create a recipe that heals our lives to the maximum ( we see the same below).

This item is pretty rare, so you shouldn’t have too many of them. Then, on top of that, we have a superior version that is the Truffle … we could say that it is rare among how rare Truffles already are, so I imagine you get the idea.

Luckily I like to write down in this blog the interesting areas that I am finding and as a result of chance I discovered a quite hidden area in a cave, also somewhat hidden, in which you will find lots and lots of mushrooms… and yes, inside them there will be a few Truffles and in my case I even found a Truffle. It is a very good area to farm these objects and to return to from time to time to give them time to reappear (if I discover another area as good later on, I will also add it to this post).

HOW TO GET TRUFFLES AND LIVELY TRUFFLES

Let’s get to the point with the location of the already mentioned secret area with quite a few Truffles that I discovered:

TAORTOL CAVE

Taortol Cave location

The first step will be to go to the Taortol Hot Springs, the area that I marked in the photo above (cooking pot sign, next to where the yellow arrow of the location where I have Link is at the moment), is on the map of the Orni zone (which in case you haven’t gone there is the zone that is to the Northwest of the 4 zones that are marked for us in the main mission of the game), in fact that kind of lake that is in the lower part is the lake that surrounds Orni Village.

Entrance to the Taortol Cave

You will have to look for a cave called Cueva de Taortol that is somewhat hidden (photo above) since it is in a kind of crack in a mountain that is crossed by a river, so be careful. It’s not that hard to find, but it’s hidden.

Taortol Secret Cave Rock

After entering the cave, explore it since I found a Truffle here (I think I remember one) and other things like Luminous Seeds, the typical Mineral veins, some Mushrooms and it sounds to me like a Bomb Flower. In any case, what really interests you is finding a kind of rock that covers a hidden path through which you must crouch.

Area Full of Truffles in Tears of the Kingdom

When you get to the other side you will find this tremendous secret area that, as you can see, is literally full of Mushrooms and in which you will also find quite a few Truffles (about 6 perhaps?) and even in my case I found a Truffle. This is all I found:

  • Lively Truffle.
  • Lively Truffle.
  • Frost Mushroom.
  • Luminous Mushroom.
  • Swift Mushroom.
  • Vigorous Mushroom.

And I don’t know if I’m missing something, the truth is that there are lots of Mushrooms and Truffles. Check the walls and high areas of the area well as you will find some Mushrooms (Truffles I have not seen since I understand that they only appear on the ground) there.

WHAT ARE THE TRUFFLES AND TRUFFLES FOR IN TEARS OF THE KINGDOM?

To create dishes with incredible healing properties, they are surely the best ingredient if you want to keep Link at full health, which in the end is one of the most important things in the kitchen/food in this game.

It will be enough that you put only 1 of them in the pot to obtain a dish that will restore all your health to maximum (regardless of the hearts that Link has) and if you add more or if you add a Truffle (which is even more effective) you will be able to get Golden Hearts, which in case you don’t know, these are like an additional life apart from the fact that it is the first to be damaged and once you lose them, you will not be able to heal them as it happens with the red Hearts (they are very key anyway to have more life, especially if we are going to face a powerful enemy).
