by Constance ‘s Inspirations are a kind of passive skill that you can equip to get all sorts of improvements: Enhancements to certain Brush Techniques , improving potions, being able to cause critical hits… that kind of thing .
It’s similar to the Charms in Hollow Knight , to give you a better idea. However, as is typical with these types of upgrades, you won’t be able to equip as many as you want, since each one takes up a certain amount of space in the equip slot, and that space is limited.

Livelihood
- Zone : Floral Forging.
- Effect : Hitting enemies with Brush Thrust regenerates health.
- Spaces : 2.
It is obtained by defeating Brian, the second boss of the game.
Replicas
- Zone : Astral Academy.
- Effect : Performing Paint Dive (the dash ) in the air generates a burst of paint projectiles that inflict damage.
- Spaces : 2.
This is obtained by completing the Ghostly Whispers mission; I’ll link you to the complete guide with the mission location and how to complete it.
Precision Brush
- Zone : Catastrophic Crossing.
- Effect : Attacks with the brush have a chance to land critical hits, which inflict double damage.
- Spaces : 2.
As you can see in the image, the Inspiration Room is practically next to the main base (just a little further down). Specifically, it’s located in the lower right corner of that room; it’s very easy to find.
Interests
- Zone : Floral Forging.
- Effect : Defeated enemies have a chance to drop two glimpse orbs.
- Spaces : 1.
Go to the Floral Forge area I’ve indicated, specifically the path below. There you’ll have to overcome a fairly simple platforming section where you need to use Brush Thrust to remove the corruption from the floor as you continue forward.
Warrior pose
- Zone : Astral Academy.
- Effect : Reduces the damage you take from enemies. Strengthens with each subsequent breath.
- Spaces : 1.
Head to the bottom of this Astral Academy room, then go to the right where you must use the dash and teleport hook several times to overcome a fairly simple platforming area, and where this Inspiration awaits you at the end.
Paint Pipeline
- Zone : Chaotic Carnival.
- Effect : Performing a Brushstroke (the teleport hook ) empowers your next paint attack, so that it deals more damage.
- Spaces : 3.
Chaotic Carnival is the last area (speaking of Tears) you should do, keep that in mind. You’ll be able to access the room marked in purple after you defeat The Manipulator .
If you are already in that room, you will have to go to the right until you reach the Sanctuary and continue to the right to overcome a platforming area in which you have to combine the dash , the Plunge and the Brushstroke (teleport hook) until you reach this Inspiration.
Dark Embrace
- Zone : Cavernous Chambers.
- Effect : While corrupted, using Paint Dive no longer damages you, but instead inflicts damage on enemies when dodging.
- Spaces : 3.
Sir Vomiton drops it when you defeat him. He is the first boss in the Cavernous Chambers area.
Master Spear
- Zone : Catastrophic Crossing.
- Effect : Evolves Brush Thrust, turning the brush into a projectile. Greatly increases paint cost.
- Spaces : 4.
To get it you have to complete the mission “Just One Call Away”.
Additional Heartbeat
- Zone : Catastrophic Crossing.
- Effect : Breaking recovery objects will periodically generate an additional heart for your health vial.
- Spaces : 3.
It is obtained by completing the “Family Business” mission, which involves finding all of Quip’s cousins.
Powerful Potion
- Zone : Astral Academy.
- Effect : Consuming the health vial restores more health.
- Spaces : 2.
You’ll find it in that room with the huge bridge in the Astral Academy, but it’s actually located under the bridge . To get there, you have to enter through the path in the bottom right corner of the screen, a path you can only access if you have the “Paint Clone” Brush Technique.
Then you have to reach the bottom of the bridge by ascending with the teleport hook (Brushstroke) and you will get it.
