IS THREADS OF FATE IN HONKAI STAR RAIL WORTH IT?

” The Threads of Destiny ” is a 4-star Cone of Light introduced in version 2.0 of Honkai Star Rail  that is quite particular since it is a Cone for Conservation characters that is more oriented towards increasing the damage of said Cone. character, something more suitable for DPS characters .

As you well know, Conservation characters mainly specialize in the Tank role , that is, very resistant characters who are dedicated to mitigating the damage they and their team receive to make it easier to survive battles. However, this Cone of Light is more aimed at increasing damage, specifically for those characters who usually build Defense.

This implies that it is an ideal Cone of Light for characters who are a kind of hybrid between Tank and DPS . You could really equip it to anyone (who goes to Defense) to increase their damage a little if you consider that they already perform well as a Tank , but it will be best used by Tanks that already have good damage.

ATTRIBUTES OR STATISTICS OF “THE THREADS OF DESTINY”

Let’s start by looking at its basic attributes, keep in mind that we will give you the data that it has at level 80 (the maximum):

  • HP : 953.
  • ATK : 370.
  • DEF : 463.

Next, we will see the benefits that the passive of this Cone of Light brings us:

  • S1 : +12% RES to Effect. +0.8% Damage for every 100 Defense the wearer has, maximum 32% damage increase.
  • S5 : +20% RES to Effect. +1.2% Damage for every 100 Defense the wearer has, maximum 48% damage increase.

The Effect RES is an interesting statistic for any Tank since it will ultimately increase the probability that we resist the debuffs or negative states that enemies apply to us, which is still an improvement to the survival of the Tank and also to his companions (if our Tank loses control in any way, he will not be able to protect his companions). Let’s move on to the next part of the passive, which is what really interests us.

As you can see and as we have already mentioned, it is a Cone of Light that mainly seeks to enhance the damage done by our Conservation character to whom we equip it, although in this case it mainly benefits Tanks that benefit a lot from Defense (for example which wouldn’t be so good for characters like Fu Xuan who are more Life-based).

The damage increase is quite important, but you should keep in mind that regardless of the Cone of Light Overlay, you will need the character to have a total of 4,000 Defense points to obtain the maximum Damage Bonus that this provides. It’s a high amount, but there are many Conservation characters who are built trying to get as much Defense as possible.

WHAT CHARACTER DID I EQUIP IT TO?

By power, you could equip it to any Conservation character who relies primarily on Defense, but it’s true that the slightly more DPS oriented Tanks will be the ones that get the most benefit from Threads of Fate. As of today, there is no character that completely matches this concept, but it is rumored that Aventurine will take great advantage of this Cone of Light. It will also be very useful if you use the Conservation Path in the Simulated Universe, of course.

Road Tracer on Honkai Star Rail

The Fire Path Tracer is one of the candidates to use this Cone of Light since despite being a Conservation character, the truth is that he does not have bad damage, although of course if we equip him with this Cone, his would be to equip it a little more DPS than is usual to have a kind of hybrid of Tank and DPS .

Furthermore, he is a character who benefits a lot from Defense, both offensively and defensively, so this would be another reason to consider equipping him with The Threads of Destiny.

Regarding other characters who can equip it, as mentioned, any Conservation character who goes to Defense. Of course, the characters we will list below do not benefit as much from the Cone because they do not have as much DPS in general as those mentioned above.
