HOW TO GET CLAY IN STARDEW VALLEY

Clay is a Stardew Valley resource that is used to create various objects and it is one of those resources that at first you may not be very clear about how to obtain it since the way of obtaining it is somewhat atypical and at least I in its day I had no idea how to find it.

Furthermore, this resource is important and it is quite likely that at the beginning of your game you will already need it mainly since it is one of the resources necessary to create a Silo , which after all is one of the most important buildings in the game and this It should never be missing from your farm.

In this post I will explain the best way to obtain Clay in Stardew Valley and at the same time we will also see what uses we can get from this resource. Let’s go there!

THE BEST METHOD TO OBTAIN CLAY

There are really many ways to obtain this resource, however I think that the one I am going to mention below is undoubtedly the best of all of them .

Artifact Location in Stardew Valley

If you look carefully at the ground, you will sometimes find these species of worms moving in the dirt or sand. This is known as “Artifact Place” and what you have to do is hit it with the Hoe right in the square where the worms are. Keep in mind that these worms can appear practically all over the ground in the game, but know that it is very common to see them on the beach (you know, under Pelican Town).

Finding Clay in Stardew Valley
In this case I got a book, but Clay comes out very often.

By doing this, you will often get Clay (and on many occasions you may get even more than one unit), so in my opinion it is the best method to farm this resource. However, keep in mind that you won’t always get Clay by doing this, many times you will get artifacts, so you will advance the museum quite a bit in the process and you may come across some interesting objects.

Fixing the Hole in the Ground in Stardew Valley

In case you don’t know how you can repair the hole you will leave in the ground, just hit it with your pickaxe and that’s it; It really bothers me to leave holes there, honestly.

OTHER METHODS

Below are the other methods you have available:

  • Digging in the Earth or Sand : Even if there are no worms, Clay can still appear, although it does not happen very often and you will probably drain a lot of energy in the process (it is also quite tedious).
  • In the Clay Stones : A brown rock that is shaped like cow dung that you can find on Ginger Island or in the Quarry (areas for slightly more advanced games).
  • In Geodes : Here of course it will depend a lot on luck, but Clay may appear when you process them in the Blacksmith.

I especially recommend the method that I mentioned above, but if you are more advanced and have access to Ginger Island or the Quarry, they are also good options. If you don’t, you can always start digging like crazy.

WHAT IS CLAY USED FOR?

Stardew Valley Silo

The most interesting thing you can create with Clay is the Silo (you know, talking to the architect Robin), but it is also a material to create the following objects:

  • Hydrogel Deluxe : A Fertilizer that is likely to keep the soil of your crops wet when you go to sleep. Ideal if you are tired of watering, although for that it would be better to get some Sprinklers.
  • Pot : In it we can grow whatever we want (except Millennial Fruit). The good thing is that if we have the Pot inside the house or somewhere indoors, we can grow crops of any season there.
  • Bone Mill : A device that allows us to convert Bones into Fertilizer.
  • Fiber Seeds : Fiber is used in many things, but come on, it will be difficult for you not to have tons of this object.
  • Luxury Absorbent Soil : Improved version of Deluxe Hydrogel, guarantees 100% that the floor stays wet. Okay, but again it is more profitable to use Sprinklers.
  • Brick Floor : A decorative floor that I really like.
