The Scythe is an Elden Ring weapon (we refer to the one called Scythe, then there are others) oriented towards characters who go to skill that the truth is that it is not bad at all.
It has decent damage, a fairly interesting moveset, good range, it’s agile, good scaling in Dexterity (and you can apply Ash of War on it as well) and on top of that we’ll apply Hemorrhage, which is actually something that is greatly appreciated.
And what do you want me to tell you, going through life with a scythe is something that I personally think is very cool; I am death… I am going to Strength Build, otherwise I would consider it. The truth is that summarizing a lot, I don’t see any weak points in the weapon and therefore I highly recommend it, but let’s take a closer look at it and remember that below I’ll also explain how you can get it.
SCYTHE ATTRIBUTES IN ELDEN RING
These are his stats:
- Base Damage level 1: 125 physical.
- Weight: 7.5.
- Critical: 100.
- Protections:
- Physical: 45.
- magic 30
- Fire: 30.
- Lightning: 30.
- Holy: 30.
- Stability: 30.
- Attribute Scaling:
- Strength: e
- Dexterity: c
- Necessary Attributes:
- Force 14.
- Skill 14.
Its base damage is in line with light weapons, it’s not its strong point, but it’s not bad either; especially considering that it is a weapon that hits quite fast, especially if we compare it with heavy weapons such as a Greatsword and others.
Its main attraction, in addition to its movement (I love the charged strong attack because they are two quite powerful blows in a row), which I personally think is very good, is that it has a C scaling already standard in Dexterity and that is nothing but nothing bad; as we increase the level and if you put an Ash of War with Light affinity then this will scale even more. In the end, scaling is the most important thing about a weapon and this one is very good in that sense. But it is that it also applies bleeding, which as you should already know when we apply it several times the enemy will receive extra damage to take into account. In fact, it wouldn’t be a bad candidate for the typical Bleed build if you apply Bleed affinity to it.
It’s a fairly light weapon and its requirements are very low, so you shouldn’t have any problems equipping it even at the start of your game; yes, you will not be able to get it so soon.
The Hound Fang still seems to me a better option , but if you want a slightly lighter weapon, the truth is that this is not bad at all; I think in the end it’s more important to feel comfortable with the moveset of your weapon than the numbers (although they obviously matter, but don’t play something you don’t like).
HOW TO GET IT
We will find the Scythe in the Catacombs at the Foot of the Cliff , an area that is a little south of Godrick ‘s Castle . In the image you will be able to see the exact location better, simply clarify that it is in the lower level, not in the upper area; I say this because in the photo the mark is in the middle, but come on, it’s down in a door in the wall.
Once inside, simply investigate the dungeon thoroughly, the weapon is at the end. In this dungeon you will also find the Funeral Guard Dog as a boss, but this time he will use spells (it’s like a wizard version of the boss, it’s more or less the same).
Be careful because along the way you will run into a kind of ogres with a lot of life and a major bad blood, so be very careful, it is easy for them to kill you.
