GUIDE AND BUILD OF NILOU IN GENSHIN IMPACT

GUIDE AND BUILD OF NILOU IN GENSHIN IMPACT

Today we are going to talk about Nilou , a character from Genshin Impact who stands out for her role as enabler and for greatly favoring the damage of the Bloom Elemental Reaction .

Nilou is an overly restrictive character, as her passive talents will only come in handy in the case of running a purely Hydro and Dendro element team. Because of this the only way to get the most out of it is by forming a team where the only Elemental Reaction generated will be Bloom; however, Nilou has a different Flowering than usual, we explain below.

Also, the damage from her abilities is deducted entirely from Nilou’s Max Health amount (except for her Normal Attacks), just like Yelan’s. Therefore we find ourselves with a rather curious character and different from the rest of the cast of Genshin Impact.

NILOU’S STATS

Nilou’s stats are fairly similar in numbers to Sangonomiya Kokomi’s (although Nilou beats her by a bit almost across the board); Here we can see the statistics that Nilou will have when she is promoted to level 90:

  • Base Health: 15,185.
  • Base Attack: 229.
  • Base Defense: 728.
  • Life Bonus %: 28.8%.

His Base Attack and Defense are a bit low, but he makes up for it with an outrageously high Base Health.

By promoting her we will gain a Life Bonus % , which will be great because in this character we will seek to have an unusual amount of Life.

TALENTS OR SKILLS

Let’s see your talents or abilities.

NORMAL ATTACK: CRESCENT DANCE

Very similar to those performed by other sword characters but with a shorter combo:

  • Normal Attack : A combo of three fast sword attacks.
  • Charged Attack : Consumes a certain amount of stamina to do a spinning blow.
  • Descending Attack : Dive attack that when hitting the ground will inflict Area Physical Damage to enemies.

ELEMENTAL SKILL: DANCE OF THE SEVEN KINGDOMS

  • TdE: 18 sec.
  • Skill Damage: 6.01 Max Health (level 10).
  • Tumble Duration: 10s.
  • Moon Prayer Duration: 8s.
  • Stillness Aura Duration: 12 sec.

When using this Elemental Ability Nilou will enter the “tumble” state and deal Hydro Damage based on her Max Life, while in the tumble mode she can enter one of two states:

  • Sword Dance : After using the Elemental Skill only once, we will make a combo of three Basic Attacks, then Nilou will enter the “Prayer of the Moon” mode and her Basic Attacks will be imbued with Hydro; finally Nilou will end the sequence by releasing a water moon that will deal a heavy blow.
  • Spiral Dance : After using Nilou’s Elemental Skill we will execute it three more times to finally create an “Aura of Stillness” that chases the character and wets everyone who comes into contact with it.

While Nilou is in the Twirl or Praying the Moon state, she will not be able to execute Charged Attacks.

ULTI: LOTUS DANCE – DREAM SPRING

  • Energy Cost: 70.
  • TdE: 18 sec.

Nilou performs a dance creating a lotus that will deal Hydro Damage, this lotus will mark enemies and after a short time the marked enemies will take an additional hit of Hydro Damage.

PASSIVE 1 – CUTTING OF THE DANCING PETALS

When Nilou performs the third dance step of her Elemental Skill in a team only made up of characters with Hydro and Dendro Element (there must be at least one of each) we will obtain the “Chalice of Abundance” effect (this effect cannot be accumulated) for 30 seconds that gives us the following advantages:

  1. Whenever a character is under this effect and receives an attack from the Dendro Element (generally this will be the damage that the seed deals when performing Bloom), the entire team will gain 100 Elemental Mastery.
  2. Dendro Cores spawned by Bloom will become Feral Cores; these will take much less time to burst and will burst over a larger area (a Feral Core will not be able to generate a Crackle or Overbloom Elemental Reaction).

If the team does not meet the conditions of teaming with only Dendro and Hydro characters, we will lose the effects of Chalice of Plenty.

PASSIVE 2: DREAM OF THE AEONIC DANCE

Thanks to this Passive Skill we will increase the damage of the feral nuclei by 9% for every 1,000 points of Life that Nilou has once the barrier of 30,000 points of Life is exceeded; if for example your Nilou has 45,000 Life, it will increase the damage of the feral cores by 135% (the damage of these cores can be increased by a maximum of 400% in this way, whose cap would be 75,000 Health points ).

This Passive Ability along with the previous one makes carrying Nilou with a large amount of Health a must, since most of her damage will be based on increasing the damage of these cores, speeding up their explosion and creating the maximum amount possible.

PASSIVE 3: WHITE JADE LOTUS

If we manage to make a “Perfect” in a dish that helps the adventure, we will have a 12% chance of obtaining double.

This talent is quite irrelevant, and we already have a four-star character ( Yun Jin ) who has this talent.

CONSTELLATIONS

These are the benefits that Nilou is obtaining through its Constellations:

  • C1 – Dance of the Waning Moon : This constellation will improve the efficiency of her Elemental Ability by increasing the damage of the water moon by 65% and extending the duration of the Aura of Stillness for an additional 6 seconds.
  • C2 – Starflower Rain : If a character is under the effects of Nilou’s Elemental Ability and hits an enemy causing Hydro Damage, their resistance to this element will be reduced by 35% for 10 seconds; if the enemy is also hit by a Bloom Elemental Reaction it will reduce their resistance to Dendro by another 35% for 10 seconds.
  • C3 – Charming Lotus : Increases Ultimate by 3 levels, can be increased up to 15 levels.
  • C4 – Rippling Sound : Upon hitting an enemy with the third dance step of her Elemental Ability, Nilou will recover 15 Elemental Energy and increase her ult’s damage by 50% for 8 seconds.
  • C5 – Luminous Pirouette : Increases Elemental Skill by 3 levels, can be increased up to 15 levels.
  • C6 – Frostbreaker Song : For every 1,000 Max Health Nilou has, her Critical Chance will increase by 0.6% and her Critical Damage by 1.2%; These stats can be increased by up to 30% and 60% respectively.

His best constellation is undoubtedly the C2, which has very similar effects to the Emerald Green Shadow set (but in this case lowering resistances to Hydro and Dendro) and his C1 will also be very useful to increase the time in which we can have wet enemies to create more cores.

THE BEST BUILD FOR NILOU (DPS MAIN ENABLER)

In this case, Nilou’s role will be more focused on applying Hydro, creating Feral Cores, and increasing their damage as much as possible through her Max Life.

In the event that Nilou is the character that generates the Elemental Reaction, we will have to focus more on Elemental Mastery than on Life, so I recommend activating them with a Dendro character and raising the Elemental Mastery to him so that Nilou has a free way to increase his Maximum Life  as much as possible.

BEST WEAPONS FOR NILOU

Here are some viable sword options for Nilou:

  • Coronation Key ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: This is a weapon that will help you gain a huge amount of Life with your substat and passive weapon talent; it will also increase the Elemental Mastery of Nilou and her companions based on the Maximum Life she has.
  • Primordial Jade Cutter ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: Her second best weapon, since it will give us a high Critical Chance rate, an increase in Life with her Passive Ability and we will also increase Nilou’s Attack based on her Maximum Life.
  • Oath for Freedom ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: It will provide a very high amount of Elemental Mastery for Nilou and her Passive Ability will allow her to function as a buff, improving the team’s Attack and the damage of Normal Attacks.
  • Lunar Light of Xifos ⭐⭐⭐⭐: It will increase Elemental Mastery and help us improve Nilou’s Energy Recharge and that of his entire group, in a way that will help us a lot to have the ultimates ready for rotations.
  • Wooden Sword  ⭐⭐⭐⭐: If we have this weapon at R5 we can increase the Elemental Mastery of Nilou herself or another partner by 120 points and if we add the effect of Nilou’s Elemental Ability to this, we will add a total of 220 points.
  • Iron Thorn ⭐⭐⭐⭐: It will give us a very interesting amount of Elemental Mastery and its passive will increase Nilou’s damage a bit in general after having caused Elemental Damage twice.

BEST ARTIFACTS

Tenacity of the Geoarmada in Genshin Impact

As for stats on artifacts:

  • Helmet or Crown : Life%.
  • Clock : Life%.
  • Chalice : Life%.

Substats you are looking for:

  • Priority: Health %, Health, Elemental Mastery, Critical Chance, and Critical Damage.
  • No Priority: Energy Recharge.

And as for the Set of Artifacts we have two options, the first has two aspects:

  • Geo-Armada Tenacity :
    • 2 Pieces : +20% Life.
  • Heart of the Deep :
    • 2 Pieces : +15% Hydro Damage Bonus.

In the event that Nilou is not the character that triggers the Bloom Elemental Reaction, what will pay us the most will be to carry two pieces of Tenacity from the Geoarmada to increase her Life and thus improve the damage of her abilities and the feral cores; On the other hand, the two pieces of Heart of the Deep will give us a Hydro Damage Bonus that will also reinforce the damage of her abilities.

  • Golden dreams :
    • 2 Pieces : Increases Elemental Mastery by 80 points.
    • 4 Pieces : When performing an Elemental Reaction, the character equipped with this set will obtain 50 Elemental Mastery points for each character in the team with an element other than their own and a +14% bonus to their Attack for each character they have your same element in the team; This effect lasts 8 seconds, can be activated every 8 seconds, and will remain even if the character is not on the field.

In the event that we want Nilou to be the character that triggers the Bloom Elemental Reaction, it will mean that we will have to change her build to focus on having a very high amount of Elemental Mastery. In this case, the best option will be the complete set of Golden Dreams that will give us 80 Elemental Mastery points in a fixed way and depending on the composition of the team we can earn from 50 to 150 additional points.

The bad thing about this set is that the attack that it provides will not be of any use to it, so if you have many Hydro characters in your team, it may be better to equip two Golden Dreams pieces along with two Wanderer’s Orchestra pieces. .

BEST TEAMMATES

Sangonomiya Kokomi in Genshin Impact

These are some of the characters that can support Cyno:

  • Kokomi : We will need a character that provides us with continuous healing, since due to the constant Blooming we will receive a certain amount of damage with the impact of the seeds and therefore Kokomi’s jellyfish will be one of the best options.
  • Bárbara : In the case of not having Kokomi we will have no choice but to take Bárbara, a character that we all have as punishment and that will cover the part of heals in the team (she will also provide some passive damage if you take her with the set full set of Oceanic Pearl ).
  • Dendro / Collei Traveler : We absolutely need to have at least one character belonging to the Dendro element in the team to be able to generate the Bloom Elemental Reaction and these two characters will be very useful for it with their Ultimate Abilities (although the Traveler will be better than Collei, since it has a more durable ulti). In fact, it would be advisable to go with 2 Dendro characters.
  • Nahida : The ult of this wonderful character will allow us to almost permanently have a way to constantly apply Dendro to the enemy in a huge area, in addition to providing bonuses to Elemental Mastery.

ASCENSION MATERIALS AND TALENT BOOKS

We will need the following materials to upgrade you:

  • Lazurite Varunada.
  • Perpetual Spring ( Aciagoeterno Dragon ).
  • Padisha orchid .
  • Cystecrystalline powder.

And as for Talent Books and others:

  • Praxis books.
  • Cystecrystalline powder.
  • Tear of the Goddess of Disaster ( Almighty Narukami ).
