GETTING NECTAR AND AMBROSIA IN HADES AND ITS USE

GETTING NECTAR AND AMBROSIA IN HADES AND ITS USE

The Nectar and the Ambrosia of Hades are two collectible and different objects that I have decided to unify in this post since, after all, both serve the same purpose. One could say that one is the improved version of the other.

In any case, don’t worry, below I will detail all the ways to obtain both Nectar and Ambrosia and what exactly each of them is for. In short, both serve to improve our relationship with several of the game’s characters. Let’s go with the guide!

WHAT IS NECTAR AND WHAT IS IT FOR?

Nectar is basically a drink that everyone in Hades seems to love and that you can gift to various characters in the game:

  • To all the gods , including Chaos.
  • To most of the important characters of the underworld such as Hades, Nicte, Achilles, Cerberus… and others not as important as Huesitos or Dusa.
  • Even Megara , with whom you can have a more affectionate relationship if you improve your relationship with her a lot.
  • The NPCs that you meet in the underworld like Charon or those that help you like Sisyphus, Eurydice or Patroclus.

The way to know who you can give Nectar to is simple, as long as you have at least one unit of Nectar with you, when interacting with one of these characters, you will see that the option to give them Nectar will appear. In the case of the gods, it happens when you are going to interact with the blessing icon (which gives you the blessings when you interact).

Another method is through the Underworld Codex. All characters you can give Nectar to will have hearts on top of their token. The red ones are the ones you already have.

Also, the first time you give each of them a gift, you will get a Keepsake , which are certain passive buffs that we can apply in Zagreo.

HOW TO GET NECTAR IN HADES

There are several methods:

  • Accessing the doors with the Nectar symbol and passing the encounter (a symbol like a bottle with yellow-orange liquid).
  • Through the blessings of Dionysus you can get some.
  • In the Miserable Moneychanger you can sometimes obtain it by bartering other objects such as x Chthonic Keys.
  • In Charon’s store.

The best method is that of the doors, it will be enough for you to always enter the ones that have the nectar symbol, with this method you will easily get enough.

WHAT IS AMBROSIA AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR?

The Ambrosia is a Hades object very similar to the Nectar and in essence we could say that it is like an improvement of it. It is used for exactly the same as the Nectar, with it we can improve the relationship with the characters in the game.

The difference is that at a certain point of friendship with them, they will begin to ask us for Ambrosia instead of Nectar, so this object will be essential to reach maximum friendship with these characters.

HOW TO GET AMBROSIA IN HADES

Obtaining the Ambrosia will be a much more complicated task and the process is quite similar to what happens with the Blood of the Titan and the Diamonds , which would be the billets. These are the methods to get it:

  • We will obtain an Ambrosia unit for each time we defeat Theseus and the Minotaur for the first time (having the final boss, Elysium’s) with each weapon in the game. But as with the Blood of the Titan, for each level of heat (you unlock it by defeating Hades for the first time) the rewards are renewed and therefore you can get the Ambrosia again.
  • The Miserable Trader will sometimes barter with this item as well, but he usually asks for things too valuable and it’s usually not worth it.
  • Some quests from the List of Omens will reward us with Ambrosia:
    • Divine Pairs: You will get 15 Ambrosia. Basically get (in different games) all Dual Blessings.
    • Close to the Heart: 2 Ambrosia. Get all the memories.
  • In the store of Charon of Styx (the last area of the game) but at an exorbitant price, so you better save. Diamonds and Titan Blood may also appear.
