In Act 2 of Scorn you must find a key and add four key fragments. Each fragment is hidden behind a wheel puzzle. We’ll show you where to find the puzzles and how to solve them.
Scorn: Act 2 – Find the key
Run through the desert, keep right and you will reach the next building. Follow the path until you come through a narrow corridor into a large hall with huge ulcers . Go around the loop and you’ll come across an alien-like creature banging its tail against the wall. Approach her and she will disappear down a shaft.
Stay on the main path until you see a room on the left with a glowing red plant-like construction . You cannot use the control panels in it yet. Make a note of this room and go back to the main path. You will come to a locked door with a light shining over it. Across from it lies a corpse. Take the key from her and put it in the contraption on the wall.
Solve the first wheel puzzle
As you turn the key, a pin on the outer edge moves and falls into one of six notches . Move the stylus to the eight o’clock notch and press the action button. The pin is now in the next ring and can be turned again. Move it into the four o’clock notch and snap it back into place. Finally, it moves to the notches at two o’clock and twelve o’clock. The first of four key fragments takes you back to the red plant.
Find second wheel puzzle
Take the small elevator in the corner and follow the corridor to the right until you come to a joystick. With this you can connect to one of three paths. Take the one in the middle and go right by the big fan. Through a narrow corridor you reach a room in the middle of which there is another plant-like construct. Go into the side room and pull the three hoses to stop the fan. The alien “locks on” to you and becomes a beneficial parasite. Use it to go through the fan and insert the key into the control panel.
Solve the second wheel puzzle
The outer ring this time automatically spins and clicks once it reaches a certain notch. Turn the key to the eight o’clock notch and press the action button once it clicks. Next time it’s the notch at twelve o’clock and finally at four o’clock. When they’re all engaged, turn the key to twelve o’clock and pull it out.
Find and solve third wheel puzzle
Take the elevator down and let Scorn (Guide) use a spike again on the contraption on the right, like in the first act 1 riddle . Then insert the weapon into the console to open the gate. You are now back where the key was found.
Return to the red-lit room, travel up, and connect to the path on the far left. Put the key in the console on the right . The scheme is the same as before, only the positions change: first turn the notch to eight o’clock, then two o’clock and eleven o’clock.
Find and solve the fourth wheel puzzle
Turn around and go to the console where the corpse is hanging. With the device you can flush the connectable paths with acid . Aim for the path on the right and you’ll get rid of the pile of corpses. Connect to it and the path to the final spinner puzzle is clear. Snap the stylus into the notches in the following order: two o’clock, four o’clock, and eight o’clock.
Scorn: Act 2 – Solve key puzzles
Return to the red-lit room and use the key, which now has all four necessary fragments. The console will open and you will see four rails of different lengths , each with a switch at the end. You must match each key fragment to a switch.
Arrange the first key fragment of the splint at the top, the second one at the bottom and the last two fragments in the second from the bottom and the second from the top. Then take the tool from the open console in front of you and unlock the locked door with it.
