HOW TO PROTECT YOURSELF FROM THE SUN IN V RISING

HOW TO PROTECT YOURSELF FROM THE SUN IN V RISING

First of all, I would like to thank Lokardos (also known as Digi) for helping me a lot in making this post, thank you!

I think we will all agree when I say that the sun is our greatest enemy in V Rising because it is enough that you are exposed to it for a few seconds to end up turned into a tombstone and of course, as the sun is, it abounds quite a lot on the map and little we can do about it (at least during the day).

The truth is that the concept is cool because it gives the game an extra touch of survival and one more layer of difficulty, but come on, the sun is annoying with desire. For this reason, I have decided to bring you this guide today so that you can be more protected in the sun and thus your vampire will have a better chance of surviving in the harsh world of V Rising. Hey, let’s go there!

THE NIGHT AND THE SHADOW

Yes, I know it’s kind of obvious, but we have to cover all the topics. Our first and best ally to resist the sun will of course be the night, which is the ideal time for you to move more. If you have to go for a boss, go first thing in the evening.

But since the day will eventually arrive, you will have to learn to move between the shadows of the trees, structures, rocks and other things that are on the map; At least if you don’t want the sun to annihilate you.

Anyway, clarified this, let’s go with what really matters!

PROTECT YOURSELF IN YOUR CASTLE

The Brazier of Fog is a structure that we can make from practically the beginning of our adventure and it will be of great help to create an artificial shadow in our castle between the time we get it to have a roof (that will cost you more, I will tell you below).

Building it requires 120 units of Stone and you have it in the essentials tab. Once you have it built you will have to add Bones since they will act as fuel for this brazier to light up and you will see how a mist will appear that will expand with a range that is not too great, really; It is what it is. Consuming Bones is a bit of a bummer, but given how easy they are to get, you can easily keep the brazier active, just turn it off when you don’t need it so you don’t waste too many Bones. If you interact with the brazier, you will see that there is a button that says «Toggle», with it you activate and deactivate it.

And now going to the topic of the roof , which is what really is the key to not worrying about anything; you will have to create a completely closed castle with stone walls and also with a stone floor (you will need the Chopper). As soon as these conditions are met, the long-awaited roof will appear and you will never have to fear the sun while in your castle.

THE RESISTANCE TO THE SUN

And from here is when we will start talking about elements that improve our Sun Resistance, a statistic that will determine the time we can be in the sun until we start taking damage .

Clarify that it is simply that, extend the time you can stay in the sun, no matter how much you have, you will never be immune and the truth is that the increase in time you can spend in this is not going to increase too much, which is a little roll.

CREATURE BLOOD AND BEAR FORM

Creature Blood is one of the easiest to obtain since it is what we obtain by sucking the blood of beasts such as wolves and bears and it can come in handy when facing the sun since at level 2 it will provide us between 10 and 25 sun resistance.

We also have the Bear Form, which again gives us resistance to the sun, specifically 25; and not just sun, you actually get 25 resistance to everything (also Garlic, Holy, Fire, and Silver). You will get this form by defeating the Ferocious Bear boss.

THE LAYER

The Cloak is a very useful object for resistance and luckily the first one already provides us with resistance to the sun, specifically 15 points. As we get better layers, they will acquire more resistance (maintaining the solar).

Said Cloak is called the Traveler’s Shawl and you will unlock it when you defeat Keely the Ice Archer . To create it you will need 4x Leather and 4x Cloth and you can make it on the Simple Workbench.

ALCHEMY

Alchemy will allow us to create consumables that provide us with temporary beneficial effects, among which, of course, Sun Resistance is included. An example would be the following:

  • Solar Resistance Minor Infusion : Increases Sun Resistance by 25 for 20 minutes.

You will unlock the Alchemy feature by defeating the boss Clive the Pyromaniac, level 30 boss.

And unfortunately that’s all, the truth is that it’s a bit strange that we don’t have the possibility of immunizing ourselves against the sun through some set of equipment (I don’t know, an armor that you wear super covered and with a hat that covers the sun?) Let’s see if they add a way (even if it’s for maximum level, I don’t know) to make it possible.
