Have A Nice Death – Weapon Guide

The Scythe (main weapon)

Death does not go without the Scythe, and the Scythe cannot leave Death. She is the embodiment of Death’s strong arm, just as Death is the only one capable of mastering her. It is a legendary weapon, which splits time, space and the elements. She is said to be capable of unleashing the most infamous miasmas, of summoning lightning and even of serving a very black coffee, with Kopi Luwak beans, with a simple snap of her skeletal fingers.

Scythe Variations:

  • Spinning Scythe
  • Doublet
  • Sickles
  • Umbrella

The Cloak (secondary weapon)

At the beginning (and for certain temporalities at the end), Death puts on the Black Vestment, the Cloak or as it is called in certain regions of the world: the Habit which does not make the monk, because a monk who kills people it’s still weird though. The Cloak possesses the ability to shapeshift into just about anything (though she has a weakness for destructive weapons) and render herself invisible.

The Team’s Favorite Cloak Weapons

Hugues Tourneur (Narrative Designer): Without looking like it, Laurencia is a very good weapon for beginners: its cooldown and piercing attack make it an ideal weapon for defeating enemies with a continuous damage effect. The same goes for the two Kaze-kunai!

Tristan Cazamea (QA test): Dragéelior has good base damage, 3 hits (with 2 projectiles) and a reduced recharge time. In addition, it increases the rate of critical hits and performs a slight forward dash. What more?

Leelou Puech (QA tester): Révélarc is really cool. When upgraded, it fires two arrows at the same time, up to three times in a row, with a perfectly acceptable cooldown, and the arrows automatically target the enemy. This makes him extremely powerful, especially if you have a build that specializes in ranged attacks.

Simon Dutertre, Lead Game Designer: the Rocket Launcher. A high damage weapon that sends ranged attacks. I take !

Jean-Baptiste Dionisi (QA test): the Clayfort. A good reach, intense damage in front and above you. It’s not very subtle, but what good is subtlety when you have a sharp one ton blade?

Mérédith Alfroy (Narrative Designer/Marketing Coordinator): With Arashi Kunai, you feel like a ninja. We send a multitude of weak blows, but we can inflict bleeding after improvement. Add to that Curses that amplify bleeding effects, and you have a real bloodbath.

Thomas Ducray (VFX Artist): Revelarc. It is fast, accurate and very powerful when upgraded. By combining it with a close-range melee weapon, enemies just have to watch out!

The spellbook (secondary weapon)

The Codex was titled in many ways: Book of Doors, Book of Void, Tale of the Last Journey. The book is very facetious, it is not surprising to read in its second cover: “The top 100 most stupid deaths” or “The person reading this is going to die shortly and it’s not a joke “. He is more or less Death’s pet. Except for her appearance and the fact that he notes everything she does. It’s very useful.

The team’s favorite spells

Fany Passet (Level Designer): The Piercing Beam will be your best friend if, like me, you can’t stand still.

Tristan Cazamea (QA test): Stellar Myriad fires five projectiles that pass through enemies, filling the Fury gauge quickly. Additionally, Curses that increase spell damage apply to each projectile. Upgrades that increase Mana regeneration and spell damage aren’t the most popular, but they’re great for casting a second spell.

Simon Dutertre (Lead Game Designer): Vladislwâ permanently heals wounds, which is very important for defensive builds.

Jean-Baptiste Dionisi (QA test): Stellar Wrath is an area of effect spell and, when upgraded in the Technical Room, its damage is devastating. Its Mana consumption is quite high, but it is worth it. There’s nothing more satisfying than an aerial attack that lands a deluge of damage.

Meredith Alfroy (Narrative Designer/Marketing Coordinator): I use Stellar Wrath with an enhancement and it’s apocalypse among the enemies. Crafted Rockets also deal massive amounts of damage when buffed and apply the burn effect.

Alexandre Brissac (Lead Gameplay Programmer): Mousticopath. We all know that mosquitoes are the worst things on Earth. So what better way to defeat your enemies than to send them these plagues? At first glance, it doesn’t seem like it deals a lot of damage, but with the right Curses, it wreaks havoc.

Thomas Ducray (VFX Artist): Explosion, while not the strongest spell, can hit in front and above you, clearing you of flying enemies in a single attack. Plus, his Fury attack sends out a good old nuke, so why not?
