The Knight or Lady is the class with which we will start our first game in Rogue Legacy 2 and despite being the one we have from the beginning, I must say that it is a class that is very worthwhile.
Perhaps it can sin a bit of being a somewhat simple and common class, but the truth is that when it comes to practice it is a very effective class. As you can imagine, it stands out for doing good damage to the body and for being a fairly resistant class, something that a Roguelite is always of the utmost importance.
? STATISTICS
- super life
- Super mana.
- +5% weapon critical chance.
Regarding statistics, things are not bad since it stands out for having a lot of life and despite what it might seem, it also has a lot of mana, something that we would not expect from a class so oriented to endurance and melee.
If we add to that that we have a +5% critical chance with the weapon, then the truth is that nothing bad. It is true that +5% is not that much and it will not be very noticeable, but it all adds up and the truth is that the critical chance is one of the things that is most appreciated in Rogue Legacy 2 , so fantastic.
WEAPON: GREATSWORD
The Greatsword is a fairly basic and simple weapon, but it is actually very effective , sometimes simplicity is the key. It has a good damage, a range that is quite good (in this aspect the Valkyrie and especially the Ronin are better ) since it is a slash that hits forward and has both vertical and horizontal range, you can attack while moving (something that they do not have all classes and it is greatly appreciated, the Duelist for example cannot do this) and despite being a Greatsword the truth is that it hits quite fast.
Whether we hit the ground or hit the air we will give exactly the same hit, where if we have something that is very interesting is that if we make an attack during the impulse (you can also do it in the air) we will give a hit similar to always but that will always be critical.
TALENT: SHIELD BLOCK
The default talent of the Knight or Lady is admittedly a bit meh, at least in my opinion, so I would recommend you change it to something else if given the opportunity.
We can keep the ability to raise a shield with which we will block 50% of the damage we receive and in the process we will apply vulnerability to cause more damage with our next attacks. It recharges over time.
To block 100% of the damage we will have to do a parry , come on, we will have to block at the right moment when they hit us. Given that it is already difficult not to die in the game at times due to having to be aware of many things, the truth is that I personally think that adding this new complication is not very productive, but for parry lovers it will be a good option. the parry of this shield does not convince me. Without going any further, the talent of the Valkyrie with which we can parry projectiles seems much better to me despite only affecting projectiles (since it is super easy to do).
MASTERY: TEAM WEIGHT
In my opinion one of the best Masteries that a class can have as it will allow us to be able to equip more things in the Blacksmith without having the annoying weight penalties. Since we’re a very melee and stamina oriented class, you should ideally equip quite a few things to increase your weapon damage and overall stamina. My recommendation is that you go with Medium Weight so you can equip a lot of things and also not lose too much Determination, which is also important.
