Yae Miko is one of the most anticipated five-star characters in Genshin Impact since Inazuma’s departure; She is the High Priestess of the Narukami Grand Shrine and she stands out both for her impeccable design and for her cunning and great charisma.
A very positive point of this character is that with his Elemental Ability we will inflict passive damage without having the character on the field, which is great because we hardly have characters that do this in the game apart from Albedo with his flower, Fischl with Oz or Kokomi with her jellyfish.
In principle, he is a character whose game consists of creating totems to destroy them with the Ultimate Ability and recreate them; so it is a very simple set to play. Still, Yae Miko has more than enough damage to be able to play her in the Primary DPS role as well and not focus as much on the passive damage from her Elemental Ability. Let’s proceed to analyze it!
YAE MIKO’S WEAPON AND ELEMENT
Yae Miko uses a catalyst as a weapon and it’s something I love. Although many people disagree with me, I personally find it one of the most entertaining weapons to use in the game and it is appreciated that from time to time there is a new one or another.
It has a vision of the Electro element, which since the departure of Shogun Raiden and Kujou Sara has improved a lot but I think it still lacks a little more appeal.
YAE MIKO’S STATS
These are Yae Miko’s stats at level 90:
- Base Health: 10,372
- Base Attack: 340
- Base Defense: 569
- Critical Chance: 24.2%
As far as life and defense are concerned, it has relatively low values. But this is very common among catalyst users, so no need to worry.
However, when it comes to Attack, he is excellent and outperforms many five-star characters; In addition, when ascending, he gains Critical Chance, which is one of the best statistics that they can give us.
TALENTS OR SKILLS
Let’s see your talents or abilities.
NORMAL ATTACK: SIN-EATING KITSUNE
Yae Miko’s Normal Attacks work as follows:
- Normal Attack: Summons kitsune spirits that perform a combo of up to three attacks; the downside is that it won’t help us to attack from a distance as in the case of Ninguang or Yanfei .
- Charged Attack: Launches a powerful attack that deals Electro Damage in an area.
- Descending Attack: Air attack with which we will hit the ground causing Electro Damage in an area.
ELEMENTAL ABILITY: YAKO HEX – ANNIHILATING KITSUNE CHERRY
- TdE: 4 sec.
- Duration: 14 sec.
Yae Miko does a kind of dash and summons a Cherry Kitsune spirit that will stay on the field in the form of a totem for 14 seconds.
Said Cherry Kitsune will summon a ray that will hit the enemies every so often and when summoned it will have level one. What does this mean?
Well, Yae Miko can summon up to a maximum of three Kitsune Cherry Trees and for each one we summon, they will raise the level and with it the damage will scale (Eg. If we have two totems on the field, both will have level 2.)
Another thing that we must take into account is to leave a certain separation between each Kitsune Cherry, since if we put them very close to each other, one of them will be destroyed.
ULTI: SUPREME SECRET TECHNIQUE – HEAVENLY KITSUNE INCARNATION
- Energy Cost: 90.
- TdE: 22 sec.
Yae Miko assumes her Celestial Kitsune form to summon a large beam that deals massive AoE Electro Damage upon impact.
Upon hitting this beam, Kitsune Cherry Trees near him will be destroyed forming a Heavenly Kitsune Lightning Bolt that deals even more damage than the initial beam of the ult.
PASSIVE 1: HOLY SHADOW
When using Yae Miko’s ult, the elemental ability’s TOE will reset once for each Kitsune Cherry tree destroyed.
In other words, we can easily summon the three Kitsune Cherry Trees again after destroying them immediately.
PASSIVE 2: BLESSING OF AWAKENING
This passive is very curious; For every point of Elemental Mastery Yae Miko has, she will increase the damage dealt by Kitsune Cherry Trees by 0.15% . Come on, for every 100 Elemental Mastery you get 15% more damage with Totems, as guidance.
So it won’t hurt to look for the odd Elemental Mastery substat on your artifacts.
PASSIVE 3: YAKO’S MEDITATION
When synthesizing talent books, we will have a 25% chance of obtaining another of the same region and type as the materials used.
CONSTELLATIONS
These are all the advantages that Yae Miko’s constellations unlock for us:
- C1 – Offering of the Yako : For each Heavenly Kitsune Lightning bolt we create with the ult (i.e. when we destroy the Kitsune Cherry Trees by rolling the Ultimate), Yae will recover 8 Elemental Energy points for each bolt created in this way (as we can have a maximum of 3 Kitsune Cherry Trees, because at most we could recharge 24 points in this way).
- C2 – Lunar Howl : This is one of the best because we will start with the first Kitsune Cherry at level 2 and instead of being able to raise it to level three, now it goes up to four, scaling the damage even more. Also, it increases the range of the Kitsune Cherry Trees by 60% which is outrageous.
- C3 – Heptatransformation : Increases Elemental Skill by 3 levels, can be increased up to 15 levels.
- C4 – Storm Cherry : Hitting an enemy with a bolt of lightning from a Kitsune Cherry gives the party 20% Bonus Electro Damage for 5 seconds.
- C5 – Merciless Taunt : Increases Ulti by 3 levels, can be increased up to 15 levels.
- C6 – Forbidden Technique: Massacre : It is practically identical to the second constellation of Shogun Raiden; will make the Cherry Kitsune’s attacks ignore 60% of the enemy’s Defense (great constellation, unfortunately I’ll never see it on my account).
I certainly consider them to be very good constellations; but I don’t like that the potential of his passive damage improves in such a beast way with the second constellation and the first one is also very key because his Ultimate Ability costs an arm and a leg.
THE BEST BUILD FOR YAE MIKO (SUPPORT DPS)
Yae’s moveset is very much based on dealing passive damage with the Kitsune Cherry Trees and the ult has a very high TOE, so the thing is to take her out at the key moment to do the most damage possible with the ult and renew the totems. of the Kitsune Cherry Trees.
BEST WEAPONS FOR YAE MIKO
These are the weapons that I recommend for Yae Miko:
- Axiom of the Kagura ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: It has it all: high base attack, a very juicy percentage of Critical Damage and on top of that it can confer 36% damage to its Elemental Ability and a 12% Elemental Damage Bonus .
- Celestial Scroll ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: It will give us a huge amount of Attack and in turn we will have a 12% Elemental Damage Bonus permanently.
- Marauders Symphony ⭐⭐⭐⭐: One problem with this catalyst is that several times it annoys us if we get the song that gives us Elemental Mastery, but thanks to Yae Miko’s Passive Talent this song is going to come in handy. So we don’t care what bonus it gives us, it’s an excellent catalyst for her.
- Eye of the Oath ⭐⭐⭐⭐: It gives us a good amount of Attack and after using the Elemental Skill it will increase Yae’s Energy Recharge by 48%, which will be great for charging her expensive ulti.
BEST ARTIFACTS
As for stats on artifacts:
- Helmet or Crown : Critical Chance or Critical Damage.
- Clock : Attack % or Energy Recharge, depending on the set you are wearing and the difficulty you have when charging your ult.
- Chalice : Bonus Electro Damage.
Substats you are looking for:
- Priority: Critical Chance, Critical Damage, Energy Recharge, and Attack %.
- No Priority: Elemental Mastery.
And as for the Artifact Set :
- 2 Gladiator Ending Pieces : +18% Attack.
- 2 Thunder Fury Pieces : +15% Electro Damage Bonus.
After trying several builds for Yae, this is the one that has given me the best results both for the damage of her totems and for the damage of her Ultimate (despite being the set with the worst stats she had). If you have better artifacts from Reminiscence of Purification than from Gladiator’s End, you can make the exchange of those two pieces because at the end of the day they give us the same bonus.
Although it is true that getting good items from Thunder’s Fury can be a terrible challenge. In that case you have the option of using 2 Gladiator’s Ending Tokens along with 2 Reminiscence of Purification Tokens; It’s a little lower than the build we recommend, but it’s still fine for Miss Yae.
BUILD FOR YAE MIKO MAIN DPS
In this build we will equip him with a set that enhances his role as Main DPS; the problem that I see with Yae when it comes to having this role is that she does not have any constellation or talent that reduces the stamina when charging, as for example happens in the case of Yanfei, Hu Tao or Ninguang (you already know the amount of endurance that these characters eat without the corresponding constellations).
BEST WEAPONS FOR YAE MIKO
If we take her as Main DPS, I recommend the following weapons.
- Kagura Axiom ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: I’m also including her in this build because, after all, we’re still very interested in her Passive Ability.
- Lost Prayer to the Holy Winds ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: Statistically the same as above but swapping Critical Damage for Critical Chance; the thing is that his passive will give us up to 32% Bonus Elemental Damage and 10% Movement Speed.
- Solar Pearl ⭐⭐⭐⭐: It is available to anyone who gets the Battle Pass and gives us a good Critical Chance and a 20% increase to the damage of his Ultimate Ability (remember, you first have to hit a basic before launch the last) and after using this, it will also give us 20% Damage to the basics.
- Dark Rock Agate ⭐⭐⭐⭐: If we are not lucky enough to have obtained Kagura’s Axiom, it can be a good substitute when it comes to exercising its role as Main DPS (the bad thing is that its passive will not be used if we face to one or two enemies, as can happen in room 12 of the abyss).
BEST ARTIFACTS
- Helmet or Crown : Critical Damage or Critical Chance.
- Clock : Attack %.
- Chalice : Bonus Electro Damage.
Substats you are looking for:
- Priority: Critical Chance, Critical Damage, Attack %, and Energy Recharge.
- No Priority: Elemental Mastery.
And as for the Artifact Set:
- 2 Pieces: Increases Elemental Mastery by 80 points.
- 4 Pieces: Increases the damage of Charged Attacks by 35%, this effect will only apply to catalyst users or archers.
We will take advantage of the Elemental Mastery because it will increase the attack of our Cherry Kitsune and the damage of Yae Miko’s Charged Attacks will be greatly boosted with this set making her stronger in her Primary DPS role.
BEST TEAMMATES
These are some of the characters that we recommend to accompany Yae Miko in her team:
- Shogun Raiden : Obviously they are characters that complement each other very well, to the surprise of no one, and taking into account the cost of Yae’s ult, we will need a good battery such as Shogun Raiden.
- Kujou Sara : You already know that Sara is the Support par excellence of the Electros and if we are lucky enough to have her C6, few enemies will live to tell about it after rolling Yae Miko’s Ultimate Ability with this bonus.
- Kazuha : It’s great for lowering resistances to Electro Release and giving Yae a nice elemental bonus right before she rolls her ult.
- Electro Traveler – If we’re not lucky enough to have Shogun Raiden on our team, the Electro Traveler can be another good option as a drummer for Yae Miko.
- Bennett : It will give us very fast heals that will come in handy because you already know that Yae Miko is a bit of a piece of paper and we will also enjoy a very good attack increase when it comes to rolling our Ultimate Ability.
ASCENSION MATERIALS AND TALENT BOOKS
We will need the following materials to upgrade you:
- Vajrada Amethyst and Deep Dragon Pseudofin (Deep Dragon Pack ).
- Marine Mushrooms .
- Handguards of Nobushis and Samurai.
And as for Talent Books and others:
- Books of Light.
- Handguards of Nobushis and Samurai.
- Maxim of Catastrophe ( Almighty Narukami of Catastrophe )
