by The Luau is a Stardew Valley Festival in which we can, as always, buy some special things, but the most notable thing about this is that the Governor will stop by the event and try a kind of Community Soup cooked by Marnie with the ingredients they have contributed. all the neighbours.
The event itself is on the 11th of each Summer (it is the first Summer Festival) and to be able to access it, you will have to go to the Beach just below Pelícano Town between 9:00 and 14:00 ( 2PM). Remember to take advantage of the early hours of the morning to do some things on your farm, since at the end of the event, you will appear at your farm at 22:00 (10PM).
In this post we will see everything you can buy during the Luau Festival and of course also what ingredients we should add to the Soup to make it delicious, which will give you a lot of friendship with practically all the neighbors in the game. I will also show you a secret event that this Festival has and a little for laughs, the way to get the Governor to give a “patatús” as a result of adding some horrible ingredients to the Soup.
THE LUAU STORE
This is everything you can buy in the Luau store, as always, it will be in charge of Pierre:
- Simple Torch : 700 Coins. Quite a nice torch.
- Carambola : 3000 Coins. It is one of the Best Summer Crops (and in the game), although I would not highly recommend buying it here since the cost is exaggeratedly high. It is better to buy it on the Island.
- Palm Tree Sticker : 1000 Coins. To place it on the walls of your house. We also have other stickers that are now ready below.
- Sheet Stickers : 800 Coins.
- Jungle Sticker : 800 Coins.
- Totem : 1000 Coins. It is a decorative element, nothing more.
The truth is that the items we can acquire at the Luau are not that big of a deal, although I must say that I really like those Torches.
HOW TO GET THE GOVERNOR TO LOVE SOUP
You will find Marnie in front of the big Soup and you will have to interact with the pot to add an ingredient (it has to be some uncooked food). Depending on the ingredient you add, the Governor will like the Soup more or less; If you get the Soup to love it you will get 120 friendship points with all the Villagers, however, these characters will not count towards this:
- Dwarf.
- Krobus.
- Rasmodius.
- Sandy.
This is the list of all the ingredients that you can add to obtain the best result in the Soup. Keep in mind that the quality of the ingredients is also taken into account, in no case will you get the best result if you use normal quality ingredients.
Ingredients that require minimum quality of silver :
- Cannon.
- Pale Beer.
- Ostrich’s egg.
- Golden Egg.
- XXL Goat Milk.
- Goat cheese.
- Magmatic Mushroom.
- Fish: Lava Eel, Icicle Fish and Drop Fish.
- Some Legendary Fish (I do not recommend that you add them to the soup at all): Son of Crimson Fish, Legend, Legend II and Crimson Fish.
- Wine: Carambola, Coconut, Strawberry, Crystal Fruit, Millennial Fruit, Pomegranate, Mango, Apple, Peach, Melon, Orange, Pineapple, Banana, Rhubarb.
- Wine from the Walking Cart.
Ingredients that require at least Gold quality :
- Artichoke.
- Beer.
- Chantarella.
- Cauliflower.
- Mead.
- Goat Milk.
- XXL milk.
- Lombarda.

- Pink Fairy.
- Lilac Mushroom.
- Truffle.
- Spiced Berry Wine, Cherry, Wild Plum, Currant, Prickly Pear and Grape.
- Fish: Sturgeon, Manta Ray, Frightened Fish, Catfish and Supercucumber.
- Some Legendary Fish (that said, don’t put them in the soup): Mutant Carp, Radioactive Carp, Glacial Fish, Young Glacial Fish, Monkfish and Mrs. Angler.
As you can see, you have a lot of options and some ingredients are not that difficult to find, but remember that the quality of the product matters.
Oh well, and as always, to start the Governor’s Trying the Soup event, you’ll need to talk to Lewis, but don’t do it until you’ve added the ingredient!
HOW TO MAKE THE GOVERNOR BAD
I do not recommend it at all since you will lose 100 friendship points from all the Neighbors (except for the exceptions that we have already mentioned above), but it is possible to make the Soup literally a danger to your health and of course, it will not do you very well. Good to the Governor .
To achieve this you will have to add one of the following ingredients (regardless of quality):
- Holly.
- Scorpion Carp.
- Somber Mayonnaise.
- Sea cucumber.
- Blowfish.
- Sap.
- Red Mushroom.
SECRET EVENT WITH LEWIS’ UNDERPANTS
Lewis’ Lucky Purple Underpants has a lot of secret events and this is one of them. To see it, just add them to the Soup, strangely this will not affect your friendship with any of the Neighbors, but it will lead to an event that would undoubtedly be the worst possible result that you can obtain from the Soup. The governor will find his Underpants and end up vomiting.
Lewis is going to be very angry if you do this (although it doesn’t affect their friendship since he can’t know who added them), in fact, I think it’s the moment you’ll see him angriest in the entire game.
