by It has always been cool to play with Broadsword in the games of the souls saga and since I liked finding one so quickly in Elden Ring , I have decided to bring you a guide about him where we will talk about his statistics and especially where you can find him if you are from mine.
Obviously the Sworn Greatsword is not the best Greatsword in the game, but it is a pretty decent weapon that we can get in the first hour of the game, as they say, and if you are orienting your build above all towards strength, the truth is that between you get that other weapon more powerful, because this one is not bad at all.
Let’s first see its stats and requirements and then I’ll tell you where you can get it, it’s not complicated at all in fact, but it can happen to you, that after all it’s an open world and there are a thousand places to explore.
OATHSWORN GREATSWORD ATTRIBUTES
These are his stats:

As you can see we have a fairly decent damage given that we are at the beginning of the game and of course a fairly high weight, but not so much if we compare it with other weapons that are really heavy; that this one is, but you understand me, that later on we will have greatswords like Guts’s or the Grafted Blade Greatsword and without going “so far” the Golden Halberd (which is dropped by the Wild Sentinel ) weighs 13.5 (although it also has more damage, but worse scaling in Strength, which is what matters most in Strength builds after all, so I would stick with this one, not to mention that the Golden Halberd asks us for 30 Strength and it is only 16) .
As a bonus we also have a slight increase to our critical hit damage (when you backstab or when you stun an enemy and do that attack where you riddle them). But well, in short, it is a very good weapon for a strength build and for this point in our game ; That said, in the first hour of play you can have it with you.
In terms of protections and stability, it’s not bad either, again considering how soon we can get it and the low requirements it has; a very complete weapon from the beginning the truth. Of course, do not spend too much improving it because sooner or later we will change it for a better one; upgrade it to +2 at most if you see that you need to increase your damage at some point (or actually do what you want, but you already know that it is not a good idea to waste too many resources, it is an item that sooner or later you will surely replace with another, that the weapon is fine for the beginning, but for later it will fall a little short).
Regarding Ashes of War, it is highly recommended to add the Heavy affinity.
LOCATION: GATE RUINS
As I have already told you, getting the Sworn Greatsword will be very simple (the name “Sworn” seems very strange to me, I don’t know if I am the only one who finds that strange). It will be enough to go to Ruinas de la Puerta , as it is right on the path between these Ruinas and the door itself. Be careful with these ruins because they are full of human enemies and on top of that there is a clever man who, if he sees us, blows the trumpet and calls all the nearby soldiers and things can get tricky; Whatever the case, you’d better clear this area calmly and not madly.
Anyway, there’s no harm in finding it because it’s in one of those huge black cars that always have a juicy chest for us, so if you missed it or didn’t know it for whatever reason, well now you know; You’ll see how the Greatsword isn’t bad at all (it’s somewhat slow like all heavy weapons, but it has great range and damage, which is appreciated; and if you’ve done a Strength build, it’s what it is, if you want weapons quicker make a Dexterity build better).
Future Silver: If you’re just starting out and want a decent Force weapon that you can use early, I’d highly recommend the Greatsword , I’ve discovered it now and wanted to let you know.
