by The Frozen Needle is an Elden Ring weapon that I really wanted to bring you because the truth is that it is a very interesting weapon because it applies Freeze and also because it has a very interesting peculiarity in its strong attacks that is rarely seen in the game and that gives it a lot of value.
It is a rapier and therefore it is a very fast weapon that will be better used by characters who go to a Dexterity + Arcane Build and who prefer Freeze over Bleeding (which is more common to go with Bleeding, but that does not mean that Freezing is also very good).
However, it is the theme of the strong attack so peculiar that this weapon has that makes me love it, so nothing, we are going to break it down thoroughly.
ATTRIBUTES OF THE FROZEN SPIRE IN ELDEN RING

Due to the weight of the weapon (featherweight) and the scaling of attributes, we already see that the weapon is geared towards characters who raise Dexterity (and as always, the scaling will increase as you level up) and Arcane (since it It will depend on how well you apply the freeze). Typical fast weapon and therefore it will apply the altered state very well, especially if you get a little Arcane as I mentioned.
Regarding his strong attacks, which I’m already playing hard to get, they’re very good because we’ll deliver the blow itself and in addition to this we’ll also launch an icy projectile forward, which also gives us a very interesting and very comfortable ranged attack. We can keep this attack pressed (as always) to improve both the damage of the blow and that of the ice projectile (which of course applies Freeze), which will also go a little further if we do this. The best thing is that it doesn’t even consume magic to do this!
I don’t think it’s a weapon that’s broken or anything like that, but the truth is that the issue of being able to attack from a distance with it is very good and it seems to me, to say the least, a very interesting weapon that can make life a little easier when distance is very necessary in a meeting. In terms of PvP we can easily surprise with this attack, it would be interesting to try it.
Oh, and I almost forgot, his own War Ash; Well, quite meh, it’s the typical forward blow of the rapier… the truth is that the key to the weapon is what has already been mentioned, the strong attack.
HOW TO GET IT
To get the Frozen Needle we will have to defeat the Reborn Regal boss (it’s a bit of a sucker, but hey, it doesn’t cost much either), after this we can open a door with a chest where we will find the weapon. You will find this boss in one of the Ruins around Liurnia more or less near the Rennala Academy (a little north, along the “path” on the left), the exact location on the map is in the guide to Reborn Regio, I have linked it to you a little above.
