I think I can say more or less on behalf of everyone, that one of the things that attracts the most attention in Hogwarts Legacy is the fact that we can go flying with our broom all over the beautiful map that the game has (although later we will be able to get also flying mounts). To me the truth is that it is one of the things that made me most excited to unlock it.
Luckily for everyone, unlocking the Broom is not complicated at all and on top of that, it is surely the mechanic that you are going to get the most out of in the entire game. Things as they are, flying with the Broom is a hoot because it makes our lives much easier and because it’s a pleasure to fly and see the beautiful landscapes available in the game (for me the best part of the game without a doubt, but to taste colors I guess). So nothing, I’ll stop rolling up and let’s see how you can get it.
FIRST UNLOCK THE TALENTS
The first step will be to unlock the Talents since right after that mission is when we will unlock the one that will allow us to get our first broom. I’m not going to think about this matter too much because I already made a post explaining in detail how to unlock them (also how these work), I’ll leave the post here so you can take a look in case you still haven’t met this point.
MISSION: FLIGHT CLASS
After having unlocked the Talents, the ” Flying Class ” mission will be unlocked, in which we will be able to fly with a borrowed broom for the first time.
The thing is not very mysterious, you will have to do a series of tests in which they will teach you to fly. At the end of all the tests you will already have the “broom permit” (to call it somehow, they do not give you anything as such) and the teacher will tell you to buy one.
WHERE DO I BUY MY BROOM?
You will have to go to Hogsmeade, specifically to the ” Spintwitches Sporting Goods ” store. Very easy to recognize shop as it has a Golden Snitch icon on the Hogsmeade map and you have a teleport right next to it.
Upon entering we will have to talk to the only clerk you will see in the store. his name is Albie Weekes (the one in the photo). After a talk we can consult her repertoire of brooms, which are the following:
- Fleeting Ember Broom.
- Broom from Hogwarts House.
- Moon Trimmer Broom.
- Wind Strand Broom.
- Weaver Broom.
They all cost 600 coins, so you shouldn’t have much of a problem getting one of them unless you’ve splurged like crazy (and I don’t think there’s a time when money is more relevant than now); if you want you can buy them all, you can choose which one you use at any time in the “equipment” tab, the Broom has its own inventory slot.
There is no difference at the level of benefits and others in the brooms, the choice is merely aesthetic , so choose the one you like best. I stayed with the Hogwarts House Broom, which has the colors of your house , but I chose it because broadly speaking it was the one I liked the most.
Also note that after purchasing your first Broomstick, the “Test of Flight” mission will be unlocked for you. You will have to do a kind of race against the clock and by overcoming them we will be able to unlock improvements for our Brooms, so it is very worth doing them.
