by Fibers are a material that we will need for some of the professions in New World , especially for the making of light, medium and heavy armor (although they will also ask us for many other purposes, which we will see below) and to make them we will need to find Hemp .
Hemp is a plant that you can see in the photo of this post that stands out for being quite tall (although there are usually various sizes, the larger it is, the more fiber we will obtain) and its farming can be somewhat annoying if you do not know exactly where you should to go.
Keep in mind that to create Linen, which is a super material used in many professions, we are going to need Fiber and therefore we will have to find Hemp. The case, that in this post I will show you everything you need to know to have a lot of Fibers and Linen in your inventory, let’s go there!
HEMP LOCATION IN NEW WORLD
First of all clarify a couple of things:
- You’re going to need a sickle, yes or yes, you can shoot with a Silex Sieges for this (if you have a better one, that’s fine too), you can create it in the Engineering Workshop (there are in all the cities, on the game map it is its location marked with an icon of a shotgun crossed with a bow).
- Luckily, you will be able to get the Hemp no matter what level you have in Harvest, so that won’t be a problem.
As a very generic advice, to tell you that you can find Hemp mainly in forests and plains; but anyway I’m going to leave you a link below of a map of New World where you can discover where all the resources of the game are. I also leave you the instructions so you can learn to filter Hemp on that page:
- Go to https://www.newworld-map.com/
- In the options menu on the left, select “Hide All”.
- In the boxes below select “Cities and Others”, then select “Cities”.
- Go to the search engine at the top and type “Hemp” (which is Hemp in English), a list will appear below, select “Hemp (fibers)” and that’s it. You already have the exact location of all the Hemp that is on the New World map and you also have the location of all the cities as a guide, which without it, the truth is that it messes things up a bit.
If you go to one of the places that appears on the map and you see that there is no Hemp, it is probably because some other player has already collected it, over time they will appear again; anyway, you will see that you have many areas where you can find it.
HOW TO GET FIBERS
It’s very simple but I’ll explain it anyway. When collecting Hemp with the Sickle, we will not get Hemp as such, instead we will get Fibers , which is what we will really need.
HOW TO CREATE THE LINEN
This is what we must do to create the Lino in New World:
- First clarify that we will need Fiber (I remember again that it is obtained from Hemp).
- Go to a Loom, there are in all cities and its location will be marked on the game map again.
- Once “inside the Loom” you will have to select the Linen box (luckily you can do it even if you are at Spinning level 0, which is the Refining profession with which we create the fabrics) and hit Manufacture.
Each unit of Linen will ask for 4 Fibers. But keep in mind that we can also create Linen through Satin , but for this recipe you will need to be at least level 11 in the Spinning profession. For this last recipe, you will need 2 Satin and 3 Weak Solvent.
WHAT IS LINEN FOR IN NEW WORLD?
Linen is used as a Material for various profession recipes in New Word. We will order it based on the place where things are done, which is more comfortable.
EQUIPMENT STATION
Let’s start with the Equipment Station, these are the items that require Linen:
- Class 2 Cloth Armor.
- Class 2 and 3 Leather Armor.
- Class 2 and 3 bags.
FORGE
And now let’s continue with the Forge, which will also ask us for Lino for some armor:
- Armor of all classes. Although the rarity increases, it will continue to ask us for Lino always.
ENGINEERING WORKSHOP
In the Engineering Workshop:
- Class 2 and 3 bows.
- Iron Cartridge (Musket ammunition).
- Some decorations such as Curtains and Carpet.
