by Agares is a somewhat peculiar boss of the Cult of the Lamb since the way to face him could give rise to one or the other not knowing about his existence (now I’ll tell you about it below) since in a certain way we could say that he is an optional boss.
And it is that in this game when we have defeated the final boss of an area, if we do it again, we will find that the first time we do it (if you die, it will appear again) a different boss will appear than the ones we had already seen in that specific area and of course Agares is one of these bosses. Once you defeat this one, the mini-bosses that we have already defeated will reappear.
LOCATION OF AGARES IN CULT OF THE LAMB
It is the optional boss (we will call them that) of the Dark Forest area (the first area of the game) and as I have already mentioned, the requirement to be able to face it will be to have defeated the final boss of it: in this case Leshy (and in turn to to face this previously you will have to defeat all the mini-bosses of Dark Forest .
After this, the matter is not very mysterious, we will simply have to re-enter Dark Forest, reach the last boss, and this will be Agares. Starting with the next run after defeating Agares, the mini-bosses we already know will reappear.
HOW TO DEFEAT HIM
We’ll start with an in-depth look at his attacks, and I’ll give you some battle tips below, though I must say the boss is pretty straightforward anyway.
ATTACK GUIDE
These are the attacks of Agares:
- Charge : Typical charge attack in which the boss lunges at us with a medium distance range and luckily Agares himself warns us of it since a kind of red arrow will appear on the ground where it is indicating the direction towards the attack. that will drive the load. He spams it quite a bit, but as he warns us it’s pretty easy to dodge. It’s annoying because it will prevent us from hitting everything we want, so we’ll have to have some patience if we don’t want to die (rush is never good in this type of game).
- Summon Sync Buddies : This boss’s real nuisance attack, roughly every time you take 25% of his health from him (he’ll do this a total of 3 times in the entire battle) he’ll summon multiple enemies from the Dark Forest at once. The boss will disappear from the screen and will not appear again until you finish with all the enemies, there is no rush, so take it as easy as you want; In the end, the key here is to defeat them trying not to take damage. Each summon you make will be a bit more bloody than the last, of course (more annoying enemies will spawn each time).
And now… he doesn’t have any more attacks, I already told you that this one is very basic… the challenge is more to defeat the summons than Agares himself.
BATTLE TIPS AND STRATEGY
With Agares on the battlefield we simply have to dodge his charges and after that quickly return to him to hit him as much as we can (it won’t leave us much really). It is more worthwhile to carry a heavy weapon with a good range because since you will be able to give it few hits, unless they are noticeable and the range at the end is an extra time that we gain.
When he summons enemies, he has to do the typical thing: Don’t let them surround you, play very defensively so as not to take damage, be very careful… nothing you don’t already know, after all, you’ve already defeated many waves of enemies.
