Collei is the first four-star character to hail from the Sumeru region and also one of the first playable characters with Dendro vision in Genshin Impact .

The truth was that it was a surprise when Hoyolab announced that this character would appear in one of the banners of version 3.0 of the game, since Collei appeared in the first chapters of the manga affected by the plague, with a negative attitude very different from the one she has now in the game and she wasn’t a bearer of any vision either.

Leaving Collei’s story aside for a bit, let’s see the positive and negative points of this character and see how useful we can give him within a team.

Collei uses a Bow , a weapon that we won’t actually see him use because with his Elemental Ability he hits with a boomerang and with his ultimate he attacks with a doll similar to Amber’s Baron Bunny.

His element is Dendro and also the first four-star character we have of this element in the game (which nobody expected, because we thought it would be Yaoyao).

These are Collei’s stats at level 90, they are very similar to Amber and Kujou Sara ‘s :

  • Base Health: 9,787.
  • Base Attack: 200.
  • Base Defense: 601.
  • Attack %: 24%.

Collei will gain Attack % through her ascensions; perhaps a Dendro Damage Bonus would have been more interesting, but this Attack % will at least make up for his low Base Attack a bit.

The truth is that it does not stand out at all and has quite low statistics in all areas, it disappoints a bit in this regard.

Let’s see your talents or abilities.

Nothing new around here, the same thing we usually see in archers.

  • Normal Attack: Perform a combo of up to four normal attacks.
  • Charged Attack: Charges an arrow imbuing it with the Dendro Element for a precise shot.
  • Descending Attack: Dive attack that deals damage in an area.

  • TdE: 12 sec.

Collei throws a boomerang at enemies it hits, dealing Dendro Damage, then swings back at Collei for another hit along the way.

A simple ability that can hit multiple enemies on its way, applies Dendro to us and will help us recharge energy with Collei; the downside is that his TOE is a bit high.

  • Energy Cost: 60.
  • Duration: 6s.
  • TdE: 15 sec.

Collei will throw her Colleámbar doll onto the battlefield which explodes generating Dendro Damage in the AoE, after which it generates an area where the doll will constantly jump inflicting Dendro Damage to enemies within this ability.

Basically it will help us to create an area that will affect the enemies with the Dendro element, it does not produce much damage so its usefulness will be based on allowing us to create reactions with said element while this area lasts.

Her ulti is somewhat similar to the one Ganyu or Ayato have (the only thing that Collei has different is that it has an initial explosion damage), but with a much shorter duration and also the percentage of damage is much lower.

If when using Collei’s Elemental Ability we perform a Burn, Acceleration, Intensification, Spread, Bloom, Overbloom or Crackle Elemental Reaction before the boomerang returns, we will activate the “Germination” effect that will deal Dendro Damage to nearby enemies for 3 seconds in an amount equal to 40% of Collei’s Attack.

In the event that Germination is activated again while it is still active, the previous effect will be removed (meaning it does not stack).

Whenever a character generates a Burn, Acceleration, Intensification, Spread, Bloom, Overbloom, or Crackle reaction (Dendro ‘s Elemental Reactions come on) within Collei’s Ultimate, it will increase the duration of said ability by one second (we can lengthen its ult by one second). total of 3 seconds maximum in this way).

With this passive we can increase the duration of his last from six to nine seconds, which fixes the short duration of his Ultimate Ability a bit.

If Collei is in the party, glide stamina consumption will be reduced by 20% (not stackable with similar Passive Skills).

It’s the same Passive Talent that Amber has , but considering she’s like an older sister to Collei, it’s no wonder.

These are the benefits that Collei can obtain through her Constellations:

  • C1 – Forest Patrol : If Collei is on your team but off the battlefield, her Energy Recharge will increase by 20%.
  • C2 – Through the Trees : Increases the duration of Germination by an extra 3 seconds; but this can only happen once in a rotation, if Germination is activated again it will eliminate the previous effect for a new one that will not have that extra time.
  • C3 – Summer Fragrance : Increases Elemental Skill by 3 levels, can be increased up to 15 levels.
  • C4 – Gift of Nature : When Collei uses her Ultimate, it will increase the Elemental Mastery of all party members by 60 for 12 seconds; this increase will not be made in Collei.
  • C5 – Fullness of Embers : Increases Ulti by 3 levels, can be increased up to 15 levels.
  • C6 – Forest of Arrows : Activating this Constellation will create a mini-Colleámber when using Collei’s Elemental Ability, it will inflict damage equal to 200% of Collei’s Attack (only one mini-Colleámber can be created when using this ability) .

I have to admit that Collei’s Constellations are not the best and they don’t convince me very much, but his C1 will be very useful to help him recharge more efficiently; Another Constellation that isn’t too bad is her C4 if you run it with characters that make good use of Elemental Mastery like Tighanri .

Collei is a character that we will generally take to apply Dendro, since he does not stand out offensively nor does he provide bonuses to the group, so his best role is going to be as a support for another Dendro character that is a Main DPS thanks to the Forest Memories set.

Here are some of the most useful bows for Collei:

  • Elegy of the End ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: It will provide a very valuable amount of Energy Recharge for Collei while also providing bonuses to the Attack and Elemental Mastery of the entire group thanks to the Passive Ability of this bow.
  • Alley Hunter ⭐⭐⭐⭐: The time he spends in the Collei field is very reduced, therefore he will be able to take advantage of this bow and increase its damage in a general way as long as he meets the conditions of the Passive Skill of this bow.
  • Favonius Bow ⭐⭐⭐⭐: It will give you a good Energy Recharge and with the Passive Ability of this bow it will help to recharge the ults of the group.
  • Arc of Sacrifice ⭐⭐⭐⭐: The time of Collei’s Elemental Ability is a bit high, so this arc will not hurt us to execute her Elemental Ability up to two times in a row and thus gain double the elemental particles.

As for stats on artifacts:

  • Helmet or Crown : Critical Chance or Critical Damage.
  • Clock : Energy Recharge or Attack % (if Collei doesn’t recharge her ult in time it’s better to equip an Energy Recharge clock to her, since we need her to use her abilities as soon as possible for the chosen artifact set).
  • Chalice : Dendro Damage Bonus.

Substats you are looking for:

  • Priority: Critical Chance, Critical Damage, Attack %, Elemental Mastery and Energy Recharge (this is only if it doesn’t recharge well).

And as for the Artifact Set :

  • Memories of the Forest :
    • 2 Pieces: +15% Dendro Damage Bonus.
    • 4 Pieces: Hitting an enemy with an Elemental or Ultimate Skill lowers their Dendro Damage resistance by 30% for 8 seconds; this resistance drop can be activated even if the character is dealing damage with one of his abilities even if he is no longer present on the battlefield.

Collei is not a character that deals excessive damage nor does it give us bonuses to the team, but this set can give it a utility beyond simply applying Dendro Damage, since it will lower the resistance to Dendro making it a useful Support for a DPS of the same element (and by the way she will also improve her damage a bit with the Elemental Bonus that this set gives her and the decrease in resistance to Dendro).

In the event that you do not get these artifacts for her, you can use 4 pieces of Ancient Ritual of Nobility to increase her ultimate damage and provide a bonus to the attack when you throw her.

We will need the following materials to upgrade you:

  • Emerald Nagadus and Fungal Hookbill (Espantofungo Plumaverde).
  • Rukkhashava mushroom.
  • arrows.

And as for Talent Books and others:

  • Books of ???
  • arrows.
  • Tear of the Goddess of Disaster ( Almighty Narukami ).

And that’s it! What do you think about Collei from Genshin Impact ? Do you think she should have more damage or bring something to the group? Would you carry it in your team? Leave your comment!
