This time we are going to analyze Traveler Dendro from Genshin Impact , one of the best versions of this free character.

The truth is that after analyzing it I have to say that I am quite happy with this version of the Traveler and it has been the only one that has motivated me to upload it because I really think it could be worth it; the only thing that doesn’t convince me much is the cost of his Ultimate Ability.

But technically, I find him to be a more useful character than Collei (who also both have a very similar role), having a longer duration on his Ultimate and a shorter TOE on his Elemental Ability; so let’s see what our Dendro Traveler can do.

No matter what element the Traveler is attuned to, the weapon will still be a Lightsaber just like its previous three versions.

As its name indicates, its element will be Dendro , as probably at this point in the story we will already have the Traveler more or less uploaded, we can use it to carry out different tests with this new element (and it is an option in case you do not get any Dendro character or you just don’t want to pull for them).

His stats remain the same as his Anemo , Geo , and Electro versions , which would be as follows upon reaching level 90:

  • Base Health: 10,875
  • Base Attack : 212
  • Base Defense : 683
  • Attack % : 24%

Obviously being the same character will not change their stats when entering in line with the Dendro element, so this will be maintained for future versions as well.

The Dendro Traveler has the following set of talents or abilities:

This time they do not change either, they remain the same as those of the previous travelers.

  1. Normal Attack: A combo of up to 5 quick hits.
  2. Charged Attack: Will consume a certain amount of stamina and launch a cross sword strike.
  3. Downward Strike: Launch from the air to slam into the ground, damaging nearby enemies and dealing AoE damage on impact.

  • TOE: 8 seconds.

The Traveler performs a frontal strike that generates a flurry of blades dealing Dendro Damage to enemies.

A very simple and fast attack that has a fairly low TOE, which will allow us to use it frequently and thus easily recharge the ult.

  • Energy Cost: 80.
  • Luminous Lotus Duration: 12 seconds.
  • TOE: 20 seconds.

The Traveler will create a Luminous Lotus within an area, which will hit enemies within the area dealing Dendro Damage continuously.

The Luminous Lotus will undergo a Lotus transformation upon contact with certain elements and the following changes will occur:

  • Electro : Coming into contact with the Electro element will increase the attack speed of the Luminous Lotus.
  • Hydro : If the Luminous Lotus reacts with Hydro it will increase the size of its area and its attack range.
  • Pyro : Upon contact with Pyro an explosion will be created and after this the Luminous Lotus will deal Dendro Damage in an area and disappear.

Keep in mind that the Luminous Lotus can only undergo one transformation, so we have to be very careful and make it react with the element that suits us best.

As long as the Luminous Lotus is active on the field and there is a character within its area, it will receive the Illumination Lotus effect , said effect will grant 6 Elemental Mastery points to the character in question, accumulating a maximum of 10 times (that is, at most we can obtain 60 points Elemental Mastery this way).

This passive talent is a bit poor because only the character that we have active and is within the lotus area will benefit; In addition, when the duration of the Luminous Lotus ends, we will lose this bonus.

The Traveler will increase the damage of his Elemental Ability by 0.15% and his Ultimate Ability by 0.1% for each point of Elemental Mastery he has.

This talent is something more interesting since it will boost the damage of his abilities a little based on his Elemental Mastery and we can also take advantage of characters that share or contribute Elemental Mastery to the group, such as Sucrose .

Now let’s see everything we can achieve through its Constellations:

  • C1 – Symbiotic Vine : Hitting an enemy with the Elemental Skill will restore 3.5 points of Elemental Energy to the traveler.
  • C2 – Tenacious Plant : The duration of the luminous lotus created by the Ultimate Ability is increased by 3 seconds.
  • C3 – Rock of the Meadows : Increases the level of the Elemental Skill of “Sharp Grass Sword” by +3. Can be increased up to Lvl. fifteen.
  • C4 – Herbaceous Molasses : If the Luminous Lotus of his ulti undergoes a Lotus transformation, we will obtain 5 charges of the Lotus illumination effect from the passive talent Exuberant Growth (this passive talent will need to be activated for this Constellation to take effect).
  • C5 – Veridian Transience : Increases the level of the Ultimate Skill of “Dendromimesis” by +3. Can be increased up to Lvl. fifteen.
  • C6 – Congregate Marcescence : Characters affected by the Illumination of the Luminous Lotus will receive a 12% Dendro Damage Bonus and if they have undergone a Lotus transformation, they will also receive an Elemental Bonus of 12% of the element with which they reacted.

Her Constellations aren’t crazy but I think they are better than some of the previous versions of the Traveler and I would even say they are quite a bit better than the ones Collei has (and the Traveler ones are free). To say anyway that the C2 and C6 are quite good.

The Dendro Traveler is clearly oriented to be a Support, it will help us to create Elemental Reactions with Dendro, it will help to recharge the last to another character of the same element and it will lower the resistance of the enemies to Dendro thanks to its better set of artifacts.

These are the weapons that I recommend for the Dendro Traveler:

  • Oath for Freedom ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ : It will give us a good amount of Elemental Mastery that will improve the damage of the Traveler’s abilities and increase its Support potential, since with the passive of the sword we will increase the Attack of the group and the damage of his Normal, Charged, and Downward Attacks.
  • Celestial Sharp Blade ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: It will give us a good amount of Energy Recharge that will help us recharge his expensive ulti, it will also give us a good Base Attack and a bit of Critical Chance.
  • Wooden Sword ⭐⭐⭐⭐ : In addition to giving us a good amount of Energy Recharge, it will allow us to create an Alayavijnana Blade that will provide a quite interesting amount of Elemental Mastery to whoever picks it up (in this case it is very important to have it refined).
  • Twin Amenoma Sword ⭐⭐⭐⭐ : The short TOE of its Elemental Ability matches very well with the Passive Ability of this sword and thanks to it we can return to having the Ultimate Ability half recharged after using it.
  • Favonius Sword  ⭐⭐⭐⭐ : Another weapon that will come in handy simply because of the amount of Energy Recharge it gives us and will also allow us to generate particles to charge the group’s Ultimate Skills.

Regarding the parameters in the artifacts, we will look for the following:

  • Helmet : Critical Chance or Critical Damage.
  • Clock : Recharge Energy or Attack %. (Energy Recharge only in case you don’t recharge well).
  • Chalice : Dendro damage bonus.

Substats you are looking for:

  • Priority: Critical Damage, Critical Chance, Elemental Mastery, and Energy Recharge.
  • No Priority: Attack %.

This is the set of artifacts that we recommend:

  • Memories of the Forest :
    • 2 Pieces: +15% Dendro Damage Bonus.
    • 4 Pieces: Hitting an enemy with an Elemental or Ultimate Skill lowers their Dendro Damage resistance by 30% for 8 seconds; this resistance drop can be activated even if the character is dealing damage with one of his abilities even if he is no longer present on the battlefield.

His Ultimate has a pretty decent duration and Dendro’s resistance drop will come in handy to increase Dendro’s Main DPS damage and deal more damage with Traveler’s own abilities as well.

We will need the following materials to upgrade you:

  • Bright diamond.
  • Flying Daisies .
  • Hilichurls masks.

And as for Talent Books :

  • You will need all the Sumeru Talent Books.
  • Cystecrystalline powder. (Mushrooms)
  • Mudra of the Relentless Shogun. ( Almighty Narukami of Catastrophe )

And that’s it! What do you think of this new version of the Traveler in Genshin Impact ? Do you think it’s better than the previous ones? What team would you wear it on? Leave your comment!
