The Pact of Punishment is a system that will allow us to increase the difficulty of our escape attempts in Hades , it has an infinite number of conditions that will allow us to face new challenges that will make us improve in the game.
In addition to increasing the difficulty, it will also allow us to once again obtain valuable items such as Titan’s Blood , Ambrosia and Diamond by raising the heat bar . At each heat level we will be able to obtain these rewards again with weapons with which we had already claimed them in exchange for facing a greater difficulty.
The thing is to activate a condition to pass the game to heat level 1 with all weapons, then activate another additional condition to reach heat level 2 and repeat this in a loop. This will allow us to improve all aspects of weapons, improve our affinities, get Ambrosia to improve our Chthonic Companions …
HOW TO UNLOCK THE PACT OF PUNISHMENT IN HADES
In order to increase the difficulty of the game through the Pact of Punishment in Hades, we will have to have completed a successful escape attempt (that is, defeat Hades and escape to Greece) with any weapon at least once; after this we will have a new dialogue with Hades and before embarking on our next escape attempt we will see the Pact of Punishment available on the patio door.
CONDITIONS OF THE PACT OF PUNISHMENT

FORCED LABOR
When Forced Labor is activated, all enemies in the Underworld will deal 20% more damage .
- Level 1 : 20% more damage = 1 point of heat.
- Level 2 : 40% more damage = 2 heat points.
- Level 3 : 60% more damage = 3 heat points.
- Level 4 : 80% more damage = 4 heat points.
- Level 5 : 100% more damage = 5 heat points.
LASTING CONSEQUENCES
All items that help us heal will restore 25% less life .
- Level 1 : -25% health restoration = 1 heat point.
- Level 2 : -50% life restoration = 2 heat points.
- Level 3 : -75% health restoration = 3 heat points.
- Level 4 : -100% health restoration = 4 heat points.
REVOLUTIONARY TAX
This tax will make all the objects that we can buy with Charon’s Pence have a much higher price , I do not recommend activating this condition if you intend to buy the Blood of a Titan or Diamond that Charon sells in the Styx.
- Level 1 : Prices rise 40% = 1 heat point.
- Level 2 : Prices rise 40% = 2 heat points.
COURT SUMMONS
This condition will mean that in all normal chambers (that is, those that are not bosses or minibosses) we will find at least 20% more normal enemies .
- Level 1 : The number of enemies is increased by 20% = 1 heat point.
- Level 2 : The number of enemies is increased by 40% = 2 heat points.
- Level 3 : The number of enemies is increased by 60% = 3 heat points.
EXTREME MEASURES
By activating this condition we will make the bosses have new techniques , favorable conditions on the stage or even an extra phase; this improvement starts with Megera and the rest of the Erinyes and at its last level, it favors Hades in our encounter with him.
- Level 1 : New techniques for Megera, Alecto and Tisiphone = 1 heat point.
- Level 2 : New Techniques for the Skull Hydra = 3 heat points.
- Level 3 : New techniques for Theseus and the minotaur = 6 heat points.
- Level 4 : New techniques for Hades: 10 heat points.
CALISTHENICS PROGRAM
With this condition, the life of all enemies will be increased by 15% and therefore, it will take us much longer to defeat them.
- Level 1 : +15% Health to all enemies = 1 point of heat.
- Level 2 : +30% Health to all enemies = 2 heat points.
BENEFITS PACKAGE
The vast majority of enemies that have armor will obtain advantages that will vary in each confrontation that we have with them.
- Level 1 = 2 heat points.
- Level 2 = 5 heat points.
MIDDLE MANAGERS
Every time we face a miniboss , one to several additional enemies with armor or some other additional complication will be included in the battle .
- Level 1 = 2 heat points.
UNDERWORLD CUSTOMS

- Level 1 : +400% damage taken from traps and magma = 1 point of heat.
ROUTINE INSPECTION
The Routine Inspection will deactivate 3 of our talents provided by the Night Mirror for each heat level that we raise this condition; be very careful with the fourth level, since it will deactivate the talent of Deadly Challenges and we will not be able to resurrect.
- Level 1 : Deactivate 3 Night Mirror talents starting below = 2 heat points.
- Level 2 : Deactivate 6 Night Mirror talents starting below = 4 Heat.
- Level 3 : Deactivate 9 Night Mirror talents starting below = 6 Heat.
- Level 4 : Disables all Night Mirror talents: 8 Heat.
DAMAGE CONTROL
This condition will give all enemies a blue heart that will mitigate the damage of the first hit they receive regardless of the damage of the first hit.
- Level 1 : Mitigates first hit damage to any enemy = 1 heat point.
- Level 2 : Mitigates first and second hit damage to any enemy = 3 heat.
APPROVAL PROCESS
When it comes to receiving the blessings of the Gods of Olympus , objects or improvements we will have one less option to choose from ; At its highest level it will only give us a single option and we will have to settle for what we get.
- Level 1 : -1 option when choosing blessings, items or improvements = 2 heat points.
- Level 2 : -2 option when choosing blessings, items or improvements = 5 heat points.
ADJUSTED TERM
By activating the Adjusted Deadline we will have 9 minutes to escape from each region of the underworld; every second that elapses after the expiration of the period, will make us lose five points of life until we kill ourselves.
- Level 1 : Clear each region of the Underworld in less than 9 minutes = 1 heat point.
- Level 2 : Clear each region of the Underworld in less than 7 minutes = 3 heat points.
- Level 3 : Clear each region of the Underworld in less than 5 minutes = 6 heat points.
THE EREBUS
From time to time we will randomly find infernal doors (which look like circles on fire) in Tartarus, in the Asphodels and in the Elysees, these doors are the ones that will allow us to access Erebus .
In the Erebus we will have to face a series of enemies without suffering damage, if we manage to defeat them in this way we will get a blessing with greater rarity or a double reward, but if we fail we will obtain a red onion as a symbol of defeat.
In order to access the infernal gates of Tartarus we will need to make an escape attempt with at least 5 heat points, for those of Asphodels it would be 10 points and finally 15 for the gates of Elysees.
BONES STATUES
If you are one of those players who likes to pass the game 100%, you cannot stop getting the Bones statues; They are really ugly and they only serve to decorate the patio, but if we play the game with certain levels of heat, we can get these three statues:
- First Statue : Beat an escape attempt with the heat bar by 8 points or more.
- Second Statue : Beat an escape attempt with the heat bar by 16 points or more.
