by The Church of the Dragonite Communion is a secret area of the Elden Ring that we can find in the Necrolimbo (first area of the game) and it is precisely that small island that we can find in the south-west of the map, by the beach area where there is that kind of rare rocky octopus (he who knows knows).
It is well worth a visit, you are especially interested if you are oriented towards the attribute of Faith since we can get some quite interesting Enchantments of «Dragon Magic» to call it something.
How can we get there and what will we find? Well, that’s what this post is about, so here we go.
LOCATION OF THE CHURCH OF THE DRAGONTINE COMMUNION
As I have already mentioned, we can find it on that small island to the Southwest of the first Elden Ring map.
I am going to recycle the photo that I used for the Demihuman Boss guide since you will be able to see the small island that I mentioned there and also, our first objective in order to get there will be precisely to face the Demihuman Boss and defeat him (which as you see and I already explained in his guide’s post, he is in the Cueva del Litoral , where he marks the map photo).
Once you’ve defeated the boss, you’ll have to keep going (ignore the teleport at the entrance) because you’ll find a new path that if you follow it (be careful because everything will still be dark and there will be enemies) you’ll end up on this secret island.
If you go to the southern part of the island you will find a devastated building full of dragon statues that curiously all have their heads cut off and you will also see a huge dragon that seems to be dry or pretified and an altar that emanates like a red fire with which we must interact and choose the option ” Dragon Communion Ritual “.
THE DRAGON ENCHANTMENTS
When checking the option “Dragon Communion Ritual” a list of Enchantments that we can acquire will appear, but… they will ask us for “Dragon Heart” in return, which I will tell you how to get them below.
The case, that in exchange for the Dragon Hearts we can obtain some Enchantments focused on Faith that are quite interesting and that are based on conjuring a Dragon that will perform certain attacks. Each of them will ask us for a Dragon Heart.
DRAGONFIRE
- PC cost: 28.
- Slot Cost: 1.
- Requires: 15 Faith, 12 Arcane.
We will channel the Dragon to release flames, we can keep the Enchantment to extend the duration of the flame.
DRAGON CLAW
- PC cost: 42.
- Slot Cost: 1.
- Requires: 17 Faith, 13 Arcane.
You will turn into a Dragon and deliver a mighty claw strike (you will be able to land another strike after this one).
DRAGON’S MAW
- PC cost: 62.
- Slot Cost: 1.
- Requires: 24 Faith, 16 Arcane.
You transform into a Dragon and bite targets in front of you.
HOW TO GET THE DRAGON HEART
Well, we will get it from dragons, obviously. But don’t think that from tiny dragons… the huge boss dragons that are out there will drop it.
I list the ones that I have defeated so far and they drop the Dragon Heart, I will update as I find more, although technically we only need 3 of them since each Enchantment only asks for one heart. The case, this is the list of dragons (I will also link to its relevant guide where I tell you where to find it and how to defeat it):
- Flying Dragon Agheel .
- Smarag, Dragon of Shining Stone .
At the moment I have only found this one, some will come out later and I will update.
And do not forget to explore the island well because you will find the odd object and it is quite worth it.
