by Arnaldo Colgado (A.Colgado) is one of the first Thanagers (they would be the Minibosses) that we will have to defeat in Have a Nice Death and the truth is that it will be a fairly simple encounter; at least taking into account what will come when you advance a little more in your game.
In case you didn’t know the fact, Arnaldo as such is not that poor man hanging on the rope… Arnaldo is the rope. He works at Death Inc. and tends to… let’s say “hug” some of the company’s workers with obviously quite unfavorable results for them. See as an example the poor man in the photo, who probably passed away.

LOCATION OF ARNALDO COLGADO IN HAVE A NICE DEATH
We can find Arnaldo Hanging in the Hall of Eternity in Have a Nice Death, which is the first area of the game. He is a Thanager, so he can appear randomly right in the middle section of the Hall of Eternity; we will simply have to select the room of him when we reach this middle section.
The thing is that he is not the only Thanager that can appear to us in this area, ” León Limpísimo ” and “Pump Quinn Oméga” can also appear (in my opinion both bosses are simpler than this, Arnaldo is the simplest of the game I would tell you).
HOW TO DEFEAT HIM
As we have already mentioned, it is quite simple; but the beginnings in the games can always be hard, so let’s see his guide in detail:
ATTACK GUIDE
These are his attacks and how to act in response to them:
- Basic Slam : A fairly basic forward punch. You dodge it by jumping or using the dash; after dodging you start attacking him as much as you can.
- Rope Charge : It will lunge forward and strike in that direction with the rope knot. You can dodge him with a jump and you can dash past him and keep hitting him from behind between his next move.
- Summon Strings : Arnaldo Colgado will stop for a moment and you will see how several yellow lines will appear on the screen to let you know where the attack will be made. After a while (very little) ropes will appear on the yellow lines that will cause you damage if you are in contact with them, so it will be as easy as not placing yourself there. It is a perfect moment to hit a few blows, as long as the ropes allow it, of course.
TIPS
The biggest recommendation I can give you is that at least in your first games, do not act hastily in this combat (when you have better grasped the point of the game, you will do it in no time at all).
Dodging his most common attacks is very simple since it will suffice to do a dash to cross him and after that you can continue hitting him. The attack that can become more complex is the “Summon Strings”, but if you don’t go crazy and you take care not to get on the yellow lines… you shouldn’t have any major problems defeating him.
