Yu-Gi-Oh! Cross Duel | Better monsters

Yu-Gi-Oh! Cross Duel | Better monsters

Welcome back to our Yu – Gi -Oh! Cross Duel . One of the dynamics introduced by the game is that of the so-called ” best monsters “, called Ace Monsters in the English version. It is a creature that would always have available in your first hand of play, and around which part of the strategy of the deck revolves.

Although it is possible to choose any monster as your best monster, at the beginning the game will give us a selection of cards to choose from . We could say that one monster is as good as another, but that’s not quite the case.

So discover with us which is the best starting choice for your best monster!

What better monster to choose in Yu-Gi-Oh! Cross Duel

After completing the initial tutorial, the game will allow us to choose our first best monster . This creature will be in our hand on the first turn of every game, so it will play a central role in building our deck.

Granted that any creature can be the best monster, the game will confront us with a selection of cards to choose from. These are Ultra Rare cards , which will not be easy to find through the appropriate gacha, so it is a choice to be carefully considered.

The choice will not only be guided by the monster’s attack and defense value; being Ultra Rare cards, all of these monsters have a special ability , which must be unlocked by leveling them up.

Without further ado, here are the best choices for your best monster, presented in no particular order, so you can go easy on any of these options.

blue eyes White Dragon

Seto Kaiba’s famous monster is one of the best cards to start with.

First, you need to consider its stats : with 3000 attack points and 2500 defense points, the fearsome dragon is one of the most powerful cards in the game for a simple brute force factor.

To this we must add its effect, very direct but equally effective: when it is summoned, you are given the opportunity to destroy any monster on the field. Such an effect can obviously have devastating effects, both from an offensive and a defensive point of view; for this reason, the Blue-Eyes White Dragon can be a great choice for your deck.

Elemental Hero Neos

Directly from the GX series, we find one of the elemental heroes popularized by Jaden Yuki. Neos’ true power does not lie in his stats, which would be quite common among the monsters in the game. What makes him a great monster better is the effect of him: after being destroyed the first time, you can return him to your hand .

Not only that: when this effect is activated, you can also summon it by making a single sacrifice instead of the canonical two, at the price of making him lose 1000 points of attack and defense. On the other hand, he will gain greater speed, which will allow him to cross the path more quickly.

It will not be an extremely powerful monster, but its effect makes it fearsome, because on balance it gives the opportunity to use your best monster twice, putting your opponents under extreme pressure.

Stardust Dragon

A bit like Neos, even Stardust Dragon can count on a really good effect. As long as he is on the field, in fact, all our monsters of level 3 or lower gain the Reincarnation bonus ; this means that, instead of being sent to the graveyard once destroyed, they will return to our hand, but seeing their abilities canceled.

This can give us the opportunity to fill the field with low-level monsters to undermine our opponents’ defenses. Not only; once destroyed, the Dragon will return to our hand. It will be stripped of his abilities, but can still be reused as a war machine with 2500 attack points, which isn’t bad at all.

Red Dragon Archfiend

Another Dragon on the list, also with a hefty 3000 attack value. Even in this case, however, the effect of him is more interesting: at the end of each battle phase in which he is on the field, all monsters in defense position are destroyed.

Beware, this also includes yours; it is therefore a good choice if you are planning to build a deck focused almost exclusively on the offensive, crushing your opponents with brute force.

Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon

This monster can be summoned by a normal summon, and in that case it has nothing special on its own; but if it is put into a deck based on pendulum summons, things change completely. In this case, in fact, Pendulum Dragon will give all your monsters a bonus of 800 points both in attack and in defense; not only that, but it will also make them invulnerable to card effects that would otherwise destroy them.

It is a more circumstantial card than the ones listed above, but when placed in the right deck it can give you a frightening advantage over your opponents.

Street Wizard Sevens

Again, this is a card that works great when placed in the right context. The power of Street Mage Sevens is unleashed if your deck contains many cards that use the Inventor ability ; in fact he will enter the field with a bonus of 400 points in attack and defense for each Inventor skill used in the duel.

Not only; if Inventor skills have been activated 4 or more times, Street Mage will also gain two random Immunity skills.

In short: with the right combination of cards played before, you could find yourself fielding a monster with 4000 attack points and 5 skills activated on itself, which would make it an indestructible war machine. It is not easy to fulfill these conditions, but if you are not afraid of the challenge you could collect a row of victories as a reward.
