THE CONTROL ROOM IN HAVE A NICE DEATH

THE CONTROL ROOM IN HAVE A NICE DEATH

The Control Room is one of the many random rooms that we will find throughout our runs in Have a Nice Death , this room will allow us to improve our weapons and transform our Scythe in exchange for several Almeuros and the occasional Prismium.

In this room there is no enemy, but we will meet some employees of Death Incorporated called Orville and Jacobo, who will be in charge of empowering our weapons and transforming them; the Control Room can appear randomly once we have passed the Hall of Eternity, once we have passed this floor it can appear in any department we go to.

It is advisable not to spend a lot of Almeuros or any Prismium (if you have any) in Marco’s Shop when we start the game, because the improvements that the Control Room gives us require a large amount of Almeuros and we are very interested in power Upload at least a couple of weapons, since it not only increases the damage produced by the weapons, but sometimes they have hidden effects that will only be unlocked when they are improved.

POSSIBLE CONTROL ROOM LOCATIONS

The locations where we can find the Control Room are indicative, since it can appear in certain rooms of each department, although it is not something that always happens; These are the rooms of the departments in which it can appear:

  • Sixth room in the Department of Toxic Foods or the Department of Industrial Pollution, although sometimes Marcos’ Store tends to come out instead (but less frequently).
  • Usually, upon reaching the sixth room of the Department of Physical Illnesses or the Department of Addictions, they will give us a choice if we want to visit the Control Room or Marcos’ Store.
  • In the Department of Modern Conflicts and in the Department of Natural Disasters, the appearance of Marcos’ Shop is less frequent and is completely random.

Unlike Marcos’ Store, there is no room that ensures that we find ourselves in the Control Room with 100% security, since its most frequent location is normally the sixth room of the Department of Toxic Foods or the Department of Industrial Pollution, but sometimes Marcos’ Store appears and usurps his place.

JAMES – WEAPON UPGRADE

Jacobo is a cauldron-like furnace filled with molten lava who takes on the role of technical director and blacksmith at Death Incorporated; His job will be to improve the Scythe, Cloak weapons or Pitbook spells you have equipped.

Each of these can be improved a total of three times, this is designated by the three skull logos that we can see if we look at our weapons in the pause menu; the improvements of these weapons will be paid with Almeuros and each level has a different cost:

  • First Improvement : 50 Almeuros.
  • Second Improvement : 100 Almeuros.
  • Third Improvement : 150 Almeuros.

These upgrades can also be paid for using Prismium, if you’re lucky enough to find several on your way. The Almeuros cost of upgrades in the Control Room can be reduced with some blue Curses given to us by Lord Spit; but be careful, there are also penalties in some Curses that can increase the cost of Almeuros when improving weapons in the Control Room or that will directly cause it to close.

As we have already mentioned before, by improving the weapons that we have equipped we will not only increase their damage, but sometimes we will unlock improvements that will apply states to the enemies, which will improve our damage, others that boost speed, some confer life steal , etc.

Next we are going to leave an example of this type of improvement, we are going to do it with the Pitbook spell called Bee:

  • First Upgrade : Base damage increases to 20 points / Increases the speed of Bees.
  • Second Upgrade : Base damage is increased to 25 points.
  • Third Upgrade : Base damage is increased to 30 points/ Reaper’s speed is increased.

Specifically, the last improvement of this weapon is amazing because it makes our Grim Reaper move very fast and that will help us a lot when it comes to evading certain attacks from the Thanagers and Laments, so I recommend you always invest in your weapons to get powerful effects like this.

ORVILLE – SCYTHE TRANSFORMATION

Orville is Jacobo’s apprentice (and this is his great-uncle) and works at Death Incorporated as a junior R&D operator; His function will be to help us transform our scythe into a more lethal weapon.

Orville’s transformations allow us to develop the potential of our Scythe a total of two times, we will put a practical case with the Corquetes:

  • First Transformation : Grove Corquets – +10 bonus damage to far away enemies (1 Prismium).
  • Second Transformation : Mound Cracks – +10 bonus damage to far away enemies and deals +35% bonus damage when stationary (1 Prismium).

Each of these transformations will cost 1 Prismium , a very valuable object that we can get in rooms like “Prismium Deposit”, randomly in “Department of Almeuros-Prismium” or we can be lucky and it is one of the options available to buy in the store.

In the event that we are not convinced by the Scythe we have chosen at the beginning of the run, Orville will give us two options to transform it into another type of Scythe; in this case it has given me the options to transform the Corquets into the Umbrella 1.0 or the Long Scythe (this change also has the cost of a Prismium and you can also invest another Prismium to transform it into a higher version after changing of Scythe).
