IS THUNDER TAMER WORTH IT IN GENSHIN IMPACT?

IS THUNDER TAMER WORTH IT IN GENSHIN IMPACT?

Today we are going to talk about the Genshin Impact Thunder Tamer set , it is one of the most overlooked artifact sets in the game despite being one of the most viable options for some of the game’s Electro characters.

Due to the effect of its two-piece set being pretty bad, it has been a pretty overlooked set and very few people have tried to build characters with it. Even so, the bonus that his four-piece set gives is really quite good and in some characters it can work very well for us.

The effect that the four-piece set gives us is very similar to the Passive Skills possessed by the sword called the Lion’s Roar and the claymore that used to be carried with Beidou , the Rain Reaper . Additionally, this set’s effects are the same as Lava Runner’s, only the element in question changes.

With that being said, let’s see what location we can get this set in and how to get it.

HOW TO GET THE THUNDER’S FURY SET

We will find the access to the Domain in the vicinity of the city of Monstadt and its name is Summer Garden . Within this Domain we can also get pieces of Fury of Thunder , a set with which it is usually mixed with two pieces of Gladiator’s End or with some other set that has the same bonus in its two-piece set such as Echo of Sacrifice .

These are all the pieces that the set has:

  • Flower : Heart of the Thunder Tamer.
  • Feather : Feather of the Thunder Tamer.
  • Clock : Time of the Thunder Tamer.
  • Chalice : Chalice of the Thunder Tamer.
  • Crown : Crown of the Thunder Tamer.

WHAT DOES THIS SET OF ARTIFACTS PROVIDE US?

Let’s see what effects this set brings us:

  • 2 Pieces : +40% Resistance to Electro Damage.
  • 4 Pieces : Increases Damage against enemies affected by Electro by 35%.

The Electro Damage Resistance increase is honestly a very irrelevant and situational thing that’s not worth it at all, so we’ll never run two Thunder Tamer pieces with any other set because it doesn’t pay at all.

However, the increase in Damage against enemies that are affected by electro is quite interesting and can become one of the best options for some of our Electro characters if we manage to get good parts from this set.

With that said, let’s take a look at the characters that could benefit from this set.

WHAT CHARACTER DO I PUT IT ON?

Mainly we will look for a character that is constantly applying Electro and if he imbues his weapon with the element, the better. After all, if we’re not consistently dealing Electro Damage to the enemy, this set won’t do us any good.

Keching in Genshin Impact

Keching is one of the characters with the highest attack speed in Genshin Impact, the cooldown of his Elemental Ability is quite low and his Ultimate Ability recharges with practically nothing and therefore he is always applying Electro without problems.

That makes it one of the best sets for Keching, as we pretty much always enjoy the 35% damage increase. In addition, one of his best four-star weapons is the Lion’s Roar which has a very similar effect to this set and together they could provide 71% additional Damage against enemies affected by Electro .

Yae Miko in Genshin Impact

It is a set that comes in handy for our dearest Yae Miko , since she will constantly apply Electro to enemies through her totems even when she is not present on the field.

Yae constantly applies Electro Damage due to her Kitsune Cherry Trees and this will allow the set bonus to always be present and we will have a 35% increase to the damage it deals. This makes it the most optimal set for her, but she usually ends up running two Thunder’s Fury pieces and two Gladiator’s Fury pieces due to the difficulty of farming this set and the fact that the damage difference between them isn’t abysmal either.

Other characters:

  • Fischl : Nowadays it is usually run with other sets and is more oriented towards being a Support; however, Fischl with his Elemental Ability can consistently apply Electro Damage and can take advantage of the set’s damage bonus by constantly imbuing enemies with Electro.
