IS THE GOLDEN HALBERD IN ELDEN RING WORTH IT?

IS THE GOLDEN HALBERD IN ELDEN RING WORTH IT?

The Golden Halberd is an Elden Ring weapon that we can get very quickly since it is carried by one of the first bosses that we will meet in the game, the Agreste Sentinel. Which doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy, because this boss is one of the toughest on the first map without a doubt.

The weapon is a kind of huge spear that is very oriented towards Paladin-style characters (Strength + Faith, come on) and if that is your case, the truth is that it is a very good weapon because it has very good damage and also deals holy damage. The downside is that even if you kill the Sentinel quickly, it will take a while to equip it because it has quite high requirements for the start (30 Strength); but anyway, which is normal, it is a colossal spear.

The case, we are going to see the weapon in detail and then I will tell you how to get it, which I have already told you how in reality… but well, I will leave you a link to the Agreste Sentinel guide, in case it is giving you problems (what would be normal, come on).

GOLDEN HALBERD ATTRIBUTES

These are his stats:

  • Base Damage level 1:
    • 134 Physical.
    • 87 Sacred.
  • Weight: 13.5.
  • Critical: 100.
  • Protections:
    • Physical: 58.
    • magic 41
    • Fire: 41.
    • Lightning: 41.
    • Sacred: 56.
    • Stability: 43.
  • Attribute Scaling:
    • Strength 😀
    • Dexterity: e
    • Faith 😀
  • Necessary Attributes:
    • Strength 30.
    • Skill 14.
    • Faith: 12.

It is a pretty good weapon that unfortunately is not for everyone and we will not be able to use it in the early game because 30 Strength as a requirement is enough. It’s not crazy either, but it takes a little while to get to those levels of Strength if you focus on that clear attribute.

It is clearly focused on the typical build of Strength and Faith , a typical heavy weapons warrior who also wants to use Enchantments to have some magical arsenal and healing (A paladin come on); For that type of character, the truth is that it is a very good and recommended option, so now you know. Ideally, you’d also want to raise Faith as well (which is why it’s ideal for a hybrid build of Strength and Faith) to increase its Holy damage as well.

As you can see, the Golden Halberd has a very good damage (a bit meh scaling, but at least it scales with 3 attributes, which is very good, although I would wear just the right Dexterity to carry it), especially if we add the physical damage more the holy damage it does. And in addition to that, like any spear (especially this one that is exaggeratedly huge), it has a very good range; It’s a slow weapon, that’s obvious. So we have a weapon with very good damage, elemental damage (which is always good to also hit from the elemental side, in this case with holy), tremendous range. That said, ideal for Paladin builds (Strength and Faith).

By the way, if you’re interested in an interesting Javelin that can be imbued with Lightning, check out the Dragon Javelin . And if you’re looking for a super-fast and very unique Faith weapon (you’ll see), check out the Encrypted Dandpatta . And if you are more of Faith + Dexterity, I recommend the Winged Scythe .

HOW TO GET IT

To get the Golden Halberd you will have to defeat its bearer, which is the Wild Sentinel . Finding him is very simple because you find him practically face to face when you go out into the open world, the problem is defeating him, which frankly is a very complicated boss.

The case, that if you want to defeat him I leave you his guide here , but I already anticipate that it will be better that you leave it “for later”; With that I don’t mean that you go 20 hours after the game, but maybe 3-4 hours later, when you have killed some other boss (two or three to say something) so that things are a little easier for you, that the truth is that he is a boss that costs and nothing happens because you start advancing in other places, it will be by map.
