Futsu’s Rippling Moon is a 5-star Sword in Genshin Impact focused on boosting its wielder’s Normal Attacks; With this premise it may seem that it only works for a Main DPS but you will see that it is not the only case.
Certainly, the range of colors of this weapon and the details that we find in the form of a wave along its blade are reminiscent in appearance of Watatsumi’s four-star weapon set ( Wavecutter Fin , King of Evil and Mouun’s Moon ).
This weapon is a bit like the Kagura Axiom , it has very good statistics and a substat but its passive ability means that there are hardly any characters that can take advantage of it one hundred percent at the moment; but that doesn’t mean that it’s not a good weapon and it’s not worth it (but it’s a bit annoying that weapons are so specific, when they weren’t like that before).
FUTSU’S RIPPLING MOON ATTRIBUTES IN GENSHIN IMPACT
Let’s start by looking at its attributes:
- Base Attack Level 1: 46.
- Base Attack Level 90: 608.
As for the Base Attack, we have the normal ones that we find in five-star Swords such as the Celestial Sharp Blade or the Oath for Freedom , it does not have it as high as the Reflection of Darkness or the Aquila Favonia .
- Critical Chance Level 1: 7.2%.
- Critical Chance Level 90: 31.1%.
As a secondary stat it gives us a 31.1% Critical Chance , a stat that is always appreciated and coincides with the one provided by the Primordial Jade Cutter (Only that the Primordial Jade Cutter has more Critical Chance because it has a Lower than normal Base Attack on a five-star weapon.)
His passive ability gives us the following effects:
- It gives us 12% to all Elemental Damage Bonuses permanently.
- Whenever a character on the team ( excluding the one with this weapon equipped ) uses an Elemental Skill, the character with this sword equipped will receive a charge of ” Aquapoo ” (the maximum of this effect is two stacks and can be received every 0.3 seconds).
- If we have charges of aquapua, when the character with this weapon equipped uses his Elemental Ability, he will receive the ” rippling ” effect which increases the damage of Normal Attacks by 20% for 8 seconds (if we have a charge of aquapua, we will get a 20% to Normal Attacks and if we have two, then 40% which would be the maximum we can get with this weapon).
This passive gives many bonuses and I think it’s quite good, it’s also one of the few that are activated by a character other than the weapon carrier, which is not very seen.
The only thing that perhaps would have been more interesting was that instead of only having the bonus on Normal Attacks, it would have also had it on Charged Attacks so that other characters could have put this weapon to better use.
WHAT CHARACTER DO I PUT IT ON?
After all, this sword is made exclusively for him, since Kamisato Ayato imbues his sword in Hydro after launching his Elemental Skill and when making attacks he will collect stacks that will increase the damage of his Normal Attacks (the damage of the hits of the Elemental Ability is considered Normal Attack damage.) Due to this, this sword is great for him because it will reinforce his Normal Attacks even more and on top of that this sword makes that bonus is received just when he launches the Elemental Skill, which will be the only time we will do Normal Attacks with Ayato.
In addition, his Base Attack, Critical Chance and Elemental Damage bonus stats are excellent and will help a lot when building him and especially, this sword seems to me to shine a lot if we are lucky enough to get a copy to refine it.
What other character do I put it on?
- Kamisato Ayaka : Certainly, I prefer to give Ayaka a sword with the secondary stat of Critical Damage, since with the Winter Drifter set , the Cryo consonance and the Critical Chance that we get from the artifacts will already be served in this parameter. But if you’re a wretch like me and you don’t get good artifacts from this set, then this sword can come in very handy, since the elemental bonus comes in handy and as always we can imbue ourselves with Cryo by dashing for a moment, We will also take advantage of the increase in Normal Attacks.
- Keching : You already know that Keching to get the same as any other DPS requires a very large investment of talents, weapons and artifacts. Even so, this sword can come in handy for the Critical Chance, the Electro Damage Bonus it would give him and the buff to Normal Attacks (as Keching has his Elemental Ability with very little ToE, if his teammates also have it). low can benefit from this buff constantly).
