Each hero that we recruit in this game, in addition to belonging to a certain class, is classified within a specific faction. In AFK Journey we have a total of six different factions and when it comes to combat, it will be very important to take into account the faction to which the enemies belong, since depending on the faction to which our heroes belong, we will have a certain advantage or disadvantage over them. .
The various factions not only offer us these weaknesses and strengths, we can also get bonuses for some of our statistics by having at least 3 characters that are from the same type of faction in the team (of course, the general bonus is always the same regardless). of the faction with which we have mainly composed our team).
FACTION BONUS
When building our team it is very important to take into account the faction to which each member belongs, since we can obtain some very interesting bonuses depending on the composition of our team. Next, we will see the possible faction bonuses that we can obtain:
- If there are 3/(3+2)/4/5 heroes of the same faction in our team, all members deployed on the battlefield will gain a bonus of +10/+14/+18%/+22% to its HP and ATK parameters.
- Those heroes who belong to the Celestial or Hypogean faction will be considered heroes of any faction when calculating the previous bonus, so they function as a kind of wild card.
- In addition, we will additionally obtain a +1% bonus to the HP and ATK of all deployed heroes for each Celestial or Hypogean hero on the team.
The ideal when building a team is to have at least 3 characters from the same faction and complement the rest of the vacancies with heroes from the Celestial and Hypogean factions in order to get the most out of the faction bonus. However, there are many other factors to take into account when making a team and we should not focus only on getting the maximum bonus.
FACTION STRATEGIES
As happens in other strategy games such as Fire Emblem (in which each unit is weak to a certain type of weapon and strong against another), in AFK Journey each faction will have a damage advantage against another specific faction, they will be vulnerable against another and the rest will cause normal damage.
- When the enemy is weak to our hero’s faction, the damage caused by it increases by 15%.
- If, on the other hand, our enemy is strong against our faction, we will cause 15% less damage .
ALL FACTIONS
Below we will see the six factions in the game, the strengths of each one, the weaknesses they have compared to other factions and finally, we will give you some characters as examples to familiarize you with the components of the different factions.
CELESTIALS
The Celestials have characters that look very similar to angels. They are one of the two factions that serve as a wild card when it comes to obtaining team bonuses and, therefore, it is more difficult to get characters from this faction than from others. This faction does not have any faction strategy.
