GUIDE AND BUILD OF MERYL (PINK EDGE) IN TOF

GUIDE AND BUILD OF MERYL (PINK EDGE) IN TOF

Meryl is an SSR character from Tower of Fantasy (the weapon itself is called the Pink Blade ) and I think the best way to describe her quickly and in a few words is with the following statement: She is a Tank with a DPS complex.

And it is that despite being categorized as a tank by the game, it really is a character that does a lot of damage and therefore is very viable for those who want a tank that does not do little damage. There are tanks more geared towards outright mitigation; but Meryl would be more of a hybrid of Tank and DPS.

In any case, don’t think that it can’t stand anything because it isn’t that either, in fact it has quite interesting shield mechanics, although it is true that this aspect will be much more noticeable through its ascents and also if we equip it with the appropriate matrices. Let’s go with his analysis and below as always we will see his build and best teammates or weapons!

FILO ROSADO DATA AND STATS

Let’s start by looking at some basic information about the weapon:

  • Role: Tank
  • Element: Ice
  • Destroy: Y
  • Load: B
  • Attack lvl 70: 228
  • Resistance level 70: 117
  • HP lvl 70: 17,216

As you can see Meryl is very good at breaking shields and so she is normally used for the shield breaker role. In terms of loading, you can see that she is quite unfortunate and therefore it is highly recommended that you accompany her with a character that does load the downloads well.

As a tank that it is, it has a lot of vitality and also a very reasonable amount of attack given the role it has. In fact, even being classified as a tank, it seems more like a DPS because of the damage it does and that it can do ( it is more a Tank DPS than a Tank oriented to resist unlike Huma). Of course it doesn’t reach Samir’s damage levels to mention an example, but being a tank it does a lot of damage. It also has Resistance among its attributes to better resist in battle, something great for its role.

TYPE: ICE SHELL

The Ice Shell item comes with the following property:

  • When the weapon is fully charged your attacks will freeze for 2 seconds, the freeze lasts 6 seconds. Hitting a frozen enemy can break their freeze for an additional 151% ATK damage. A frozen enemy reloads 50% slower.

Mentioning that this comes in handy for a tank as frozen enemies can’t hit after all.

MERYL’S ABILITIES

Let’s start by looking at all of Meryl’s abilities (at level 70) in detail.

NORMAL ATTACK

These are all his normal attacks and combos:

Land:

  • First Attack: 72.9% ATK + 138 . Pushes enemies back.
  • Second Attack: 60.1%% ATK + 113 . Pushes enemies back.
  • Third Attack: 105.4% ATK + 199 . Pushes enemies back.
  • Fourth Attack: 156.3% ATK + 296 . Knocks enemies to the ground.

Aerial:

  • First Attack: 106.5% ATK + 201
  • Second Attack: 87.5% ATK +165
  • Third Attack: 156% ATK + 294
  • Fourth Attack: 140.5% ATK + 265 . Knocks enemies to the ground.

Loaded:

  • Keep on the ground: 132.8% ATK + 251  every 0.5s in area (hold to execute it while you have stamina). While channeling we are immune to being stunned by hits.
  • Hold 3rd Ground Attack:  64.3% ATK + 121 . You will lift your character and the enemies you hit (not big ones) to proceed with the aerial combo.
  • Hold in the air (standing high; double jump, booster…):
    • You will go down dealing hits that will deal  12.5% ATK + 24 .
    • 140.5% ATK + 265 AoE on landing. The higher the height, the more damage, it can reach up to 600%.

The air charge (double jump + hold) is undoubtedly one of his most powerful attacks and we can also use it to get closer to enemies. The ground charge is also brutal in terms of sustained damage and on top of that it is in the area (and gives us immunity to the step stun, which is luxurious). For the rest, you see that it is more advisable to pull the normal air combo than the ground one, but above all I recommend you use the 2 attacks already mentioned.

DODGE

  • If we dodge standing still and do a normal attack we will do a frontal area attack that hits several times causing 49.6% ATK + 94   per hit. It also launches enemies into the air.
  • If we dodge while moving and hit with a normal attack we will deal more focused Pink Edge hits to a single enemy that will  deal 65.9% ATK + 124  each.

Neither of the 2 is too remarkable, but you see that for multiple targets it is better to use the dodge while standing still and for a single one it is better to dodge while moving (followed by attacking, of course).

ABILITY: BLIZZARD

  • Meryl’s best attack. We’ll be doing a bunch of slashes with absurd range that will  deal 141.7% ATK + 267  each. It will also increase our damage by 5% for each blow we give and therefore each blow will be stronger than the previous one. It also gives us immunity to control effects. 45 second cooldown .

DISCHARGE: FROST BARRIER

  • We remove all the disadvantages that we have.
  • We perform an area attack of 503.2% ATK + 950 and suspend the enemies, so they will not be able to jump, evade and on top of that they will move 50% slower.
  • We create a barrier for 5 seconds that blocks projectiles.

Tremendous ability for having very good damage, but on top of that it has a defensive component as it blocks projectiles and suspends enemies.

MERYL’S ASCENSION AND GIFTS

Let’s start by looking at the best gifts we can give Meryl, which will be needed for the ascensions mentioned below.

Best gifts for Meryl:

  • Warren Fossil : 80 points.
  • Angel of the Void figure: 60 points.
  • Snow globe: 60 points.
  • Crown Coin: 60 points.
  • Clever Doll: 60 points.
  • Hykros puzzle: 60 points.
  • Silver utensils: 60 points.

The ascents that are worthwhile and the points they ask us for:

  • 1200 : You take 20% less Cold damage, are immune to Freeze, and Freeze lasts 50% less time.
  • 4000 : You take 25% less Cold damage, are immune to Freeze, and Freeze lasts 50% less time. Hitting 4000 is hardly noticeable, at the end you only gain an extra 5% cold damage reduction.

PINK BLADE ADVANCES

These are the passive skills that we will obtain by making advances in the weapon:

  • ⭐: +15% shield destruction and you recover 10% of your HP when destroying a shield.
  • ⭐⭐: +16% base HP growth of current weapon.
  • ⭐⭐⭐: Switching weapons gives you an ice shield for 10% of your max HP for 10 seconds. 20 second cooldown.
  • ⭐⭐⭐⭐: +32% base HP growth of current weapon.
  • ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: When the A3’s ice shield is active, it increases your damage and shield destruction by 50%.
  • ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: Ice Shield is now 20% of max HP.

The A1 seems silly but that healing is very noticeable and at the end of the day it will jump very occasionally. The ice shield, the truth is that it is amazing to better resist damage and also allows us to have it even if we change weapons and on top of that we cause more damage to enemies and shields (50% is cloth) when we have it active it is a hoot already Since this increase is for any character you have active , it is enough to have the shield active.

BEST BUILD OF MERYL OR FILO ROSADO

It will depend on whether we want to orient it more to Tank or more to DPS, but to be honest, it is more common to orient it more to damage since other tanks are better at mitigating damage.

BEST MATRICES

These are the best arrays for Cocoritter. This time I leave you only one option because it is for me the clear choice:

Meryl (To make her very Tank)

  • 2 pieces: If your health falls below 30% when attacked, you gain a shield for 20%/26%/32%/40% of your max HP.
  • 4-piece: When the 2-piece set’s shield is active, your attacks heal you for 60%/75%/95%/105% of the damage you deal. You cannot heal for more than 105%/127.5%/150%/172.5% of your ATK every 0.5s.

King + Shiro (To make her more DPS)

  • 2 pieces King: Increases your damage by 4%/5%/6%/7% for every 10% shield break you do for 25 seconds.
  • Shiro 2-Piece: Increases your damage by 15%/19%/22.5%/26% and also your shield break when hitting enemies with health above 50%.

BEST WEAPON AND EQUIPMENT COMPOSITIONS

Cocoritter in Tower of Fantasy

These are the weapon equipment that I recommend the most:

Double tank composition

  • Meryl : Main DPS and Shieldbreaker.
  • Huma : I would take the role of Tank when you need to mitigate more damage.
  • Cocoritter : To heal you. Highly recommend A1 for passive healing with the bee, it also generates charge.

Double composition Support

  • Meryl : The Main DPS and Shieldbreaker.
  • Cocoritter . Main Healer. Again recommended at A1 for passive healing and more charge.
  • Nemesis : Off Healer. More passive healing.
    • Zero could also fit in place of nemesis, but better be on A1 so he can actively heal with his attacks.

balanced composition

  • Samir : Main DPS.
  • Meryl : Shieldbreaker and Tank.
  • Nemesis : Healer and electric buffer.

Double DPS Composition

  • Samir : Main DPS.
  • Tsubasa : Sub DPS.
  • Meryl : Shieldbreaker and Tank.
