by Cemetery Shadow is a boss from the Elden Ring that I found quite funny because it looks like an enemy from Kingdom Hearts, in fact it looks a lot like Sora’s shadow… I wonder if it’s a reference or something completely random.
This is the typical boss who is very easy to knock down but it is also easy for him to knock you down. The truth is that if we are not careful he will delete us. I knocked him down on the second try because in the first he caught me off guard with his most dangerous attack (which I’ll tell you later), but frankly he was about to kill me several times and since I’m pretty tanky I assume I had that advantage and what other classes Light ones are going to suffer quite a bit more against this boss.
The case, that as always I bring you his location and the guide / strategy to defeat him. Let’s go there!
LOCATION: NECROHOLLOW CATACOMBS
We will find Cemetery Shadow in the Catacombs of the Necrohollow (what a name it is), a dungeon located in the Weeping Peninsula (south of Necrolimbo). You have the exact location in the photo above, but you can see that it is a little north of the Golden Tree (here we will find the Avatar of the Golden Tree ). It’s hidden behind a column, it’s one of those small doors, it’s on the side of the mountain.
It is the typical crypt full of skeletons (you will have to defeat them and hit them when they are regenerating, they are very annoying). Upon entering you will find one of those statues with which we must interact with the Stone Sword Key, although in this case it is a little F what we will obtain: Nomad Warrior Manual (9).
You will have to go forward in search of the shift lever to open the door of the boss; look for one of those towers that shoot fire, hit it so it stops throwing it, climb on top of it (if you jump very close to it it activates and it will go up) and use it to reach a higher area, there you will find the lever to unlock the boss .
GRAVEYARD SHADOW ATTACKS AND STRATEGY
It has very powerful and annoying attacks, you will have to be very careful because as you get distracted it annihilates you. These are the three attacks that we have to take into account the most:
- Teleport : It is not an attack as such, but it must be mentioned; the boss is constantly teleporting back and forth; he never goes too far from where he was but it’s a nuisance because you’re going to hit him and he often does this. Keep that in mind.
- Swords Combo : He will begin to hit us with his swords quickly, if he hooks us well he will apply bleeding and will destroy our health bar if he does not kill us. Get out of the way quickly if he starts hitting you (going fast will get you out of death) and if you see the combo start don’t even think about getting close. He usually ends the combo with a more powerful blow, after that blow you can hit him a little and quickly retreat.
- Stun Ray : A kind of green ball will appear on his head and after a while he will launch a green ray towards us. If you get hit by this and you don’t have very high health you can consider yourself dead as this attack will stun us (you won’t be able to do anything, just spam buttons to exit early and pray you don’t get caught by the boss), Graveyard Shadow will approach us to give us a little love and if he manages to get it you can imagine what will happen.
The best time to attack him is when the whole combo ends, but… besides this, he is one of the few bosses in which it is feasible to attack first (carefully and such, you hit him and run away) since many times he will It’s like breading between spamming teleports and you’ll see that you can sneak a hit.
As long as you are very careful not to eat the Stun Beam and get out quickly when he starts with Sword Combo, you will be fine. Oh, and keep in mind that blocking him doesn’t do much good because he bleeds us just the same with his hits.
