In God of War Ragnarök , the choice of armor greatly affects your combat effectiveness. With the right armor sets, you will become a very powerful god of war that no enemy can stop. We show you which armors are best suited for this.
Armor of Mission
The armor of the paragon gives your punches extra power. The bonuses to the Strength and Defense stats make the Mission Statement a good mid-game armor set. The mission statement is particularly suitable for players who prefer a very offensive fighting style. The luck bonuses – which can also stack – make you an almost unstoppable fighting machine in battle.
You can collect this armor set during the Mission Statement side quest in Midgard . In this side quest you must read the runes on the remains of the Týr statue on the frozen Lake of the Nine. You will find a piece of armor near the runes. Follow the quest markers on the map to find all of the armor set pieces.

Raven Tears Armor
The Raven Tears armor is one of the best early game armor sets. With this armor, you gain more health from health stones and also have a chance to heal yourself in mid-battle.
You get the armor, gauntlets, and girdle as a reward for finding and killing Odin’s spectral ravens . For six ravens you get the belt, for twelve ravens you get the gauntlets and you can call the breastplate your own after 18 ravens. Since you’ll find many ravens while pursuing main quests and exploring, it’s worth traveling to Niflheim early and claiming your reward.

Steinbjörn armor
Of all armor, Steinbjörn has the best Defense stats. Fully leveled up, it gives you 394 points in defense . The special properties of the armor also allow you to restore health in battle. This is especially useful in long boss fights.
You can have the Steinbjörn armor made at the dwarf shop. But you need resources that you can only get from stone trolls. You can find out how to bring the stone trolls to life and where to find them in our Steinbjörn guide .

Dragonscale armor
The dragonscale armor starts out with balanced strength and defense stats, but with all the upgrades it becomes one of the best armors – at least if you rely on parry and block in fights .
You’ll get the Dragonscale Armor Blueprint once you explore the crater. You get the resources “Dragon Claws” and “Dragon Teeth” from the local dragons. But they won’t just give them to you – get ready for some boss fights.

Berserker armor
The Berserker armor has very good starting values, but unfolds its true strength in combination with the relic “Sword Hilt of Skofnung”. The relic summons twelve powerful spirit swords that aid you in battle. Meanwhile, you deal significantly more damage with your attacks – but also lose larger amounts of health if you get caught.
The berserker armor also has a small chance of causing soul explosions. This not only hurts the enemies a lot, but also speeds up the cooldown of the relic.
The downside is that you get this armor set very late in the game, as you have to defeat berserker spirits to get the necessary resources. We are currently still working on a berserker guide. As soon as the guide is ready, we will link it here.
