CRUCIBLE KNIGHT GUIDE IN ELDEN RING

CRUCIBLE KNIGHT GUIDE IN ELDEN RING

The Knight of the Crucible is one of those Elden Ring bosses that we can find in the eternal prison and in the same way that it happened with the Hound Knight Darriwil  or Old Hero of Zamor , this one is also quite complicated; I would say more in fact.

This is a boss who has practically no gaps in his offense and who also carries a huge shield to protect him. Also, he keeps doing combos and combos with a random factor quite unpredictable, so it’s very difficult to predict his movements; but not impossible, of course.

As if that were not enough, it has phases and things will get complicated. So nothing, let’s go with the guide.

LOCATION: ETERNAL PRISON IN STORM HILL

Eternal Prison in Elden Ring Storm Hill

It is not hidden at all since in fact these prisons are marked on the map with their own icon (a kind of gray circle). You can find him, as you can see, in the Eternal Jail in Storm Hill . This you already know is the area we have after passing the Storm Gate.

Crucible Knight would be a bit southeast of Godrick ‘s castle , no loss. What will not be as easy as finding him, is defeating him.

CRUCIBLE KNIGHT ATTACKS AND STRATEGY

What we have already discussed a bit in the intro; Crucible Knight is a very unpredictable boss since he has several attacks that he warps together a little bit as he comes out from down there, he’s every two times three changing the pattern… this guy is very random.

From the outset, mention that we will take a defensive attitude and we should only attack him when he makes these specific attacks, which are the only moments in which he is a little exposed (very little, but if you hurry, he will sneak in):

  • Shield Strike : Without a doubt one of the best moments in which we can fight back. He will make a blow with his powerful shield that we will have to dodge and right after our dodge hit with R1 to quickly go back and take a defensive attitude again (keep distance, shield up, ready to dodge… you know).
  • Drift Blade : It will stick the sword into the ground, they will come out as sparks and end up giving an upward vertical slash. Right when it’s over we can counter with jump + heavy attack (or Spells or whatever you have) to quickly go back which will almost always counter after this; which does not mean that it is one of the best times to hit him.
  • Final Thrust : The boss, as we have already mentioned, does not stop doing several blows that he is combing; his thing is to dodge them while you go around him (shield up just in case, but it is not ideal to block because it will lower the resistance bar a lot). The fact is that many times he ends combos with a thrust that we must dodge and counterattack again after the dodge with R1 to give him a free tap. After this it is very likely that he will attack again, so you know, but this particular blow leaves him exposed for a little time and therefore it is worth taking advantage of the occasion; he also does it very often.
  • Double Gyrotajo : Attack that he makes sometimes after a combo preceded by that annoying attack with which he hits the ground (which you must dodge or block yes or yes because it stuns you and then it will give you another hit, if that happens, it is most likely that die). It will perform a kind of twisting slash twice; you move away a little and after the second cut you do a jump + strong attack and then the usual, we move away and such.

This would be in general, in addition to this it has 2 phases in which it gets a little complicated, although in reality it is practically the same:

  • Phase 1 : His wings grow. From time to time it will fly charging towards us, it is very easy to dodge and after this it is a good time to get a cure if you need it. He also acquires a new attack with a tail of light that can combo with the other attacks and that is very annoying because it is a fairly fast attack and since it does holy damage, it will cause us damage even if we block it (unless you have a shield that block 100% holy damage, I don’t have anything like that at the moment).
  • Phase 2 : It’s the same, but now after doing the flying charge he will perform his tail attack and then another tail attack that covers practically the entire screen and that you should ideally dodge. You pay attention that after the flying charge it will make a short-range tail and then one that reaches the basin.

REWARDS

By defeating him we will obtain the following:

  • Crucible Characteristics – Tail : An Enchantment to make the Crucible Knight’s tail attack so annoying.
