Overwatch 2: Tier List – the best heroes

Our Overwatch 2 tier list guide includes:

  • Current tier list of all heroes in the game
  • The strongest heroes & their way of playing in detail

Overwatch 2 is Blizzard Entertainment’s hero shooter. In the game, two teams of five players compete against each other. Players take on the role of powerful heroes, each with different weapons and abilities.

This is how the tiers differ

  • S-Tier : The current best heroes in the game dominate the meta and have the highest success rate.
  • A-Tier : Outstandingly good heroes that help define the current meta.
  • B-Tier : Average heroes that don’t directly impact the meta, but still perform well in the right hands.
  • C-Tier : Weaker heroes that have a better alternative in most situations.
  • D-Tier : Bad heroes who can’t keep up with other characters in their role.

What does the term meta stand for?

Meta is an acronym and stands for “ Most Efficient Tactics Available ” . The “meta” refers to the current best tactics, strategies and procedures for winning in a video game.

The best defenders in Overwatch 2

D.Va

D.Va was already reworked in Overwatch 1 and has enjoyed great popularity ever since. Her rocket-powered mech makes her one of the most mobile defenders in the game. With her Defense Matrix shield , she can make enemy projectiles like rockets or energy balls disappear.

The Micro Missiles are best suited for close combat and can put weaker heroes and barriers under pressure. Using her ultimate, she blows up her own mech, causing a widespread explosion. Without a mech, you need to land enough hits to summon a new robot.

Orisa

Orisa has been heavily redesigned for Overwatch 2. The robot defender traded the barrier for a new spear. Firing the energy spear at an enemy knocks them back and stuns them for a short time.

The Spear Whirl destroys projectiles, blocks melee attacks, and knocks back enemies. With her Ultimate “ Terrasurge ” opponents are pulled in and a short time later they are hit by a powerful explosion.

The best attackers in Overwatch 2

sojourn

Sojourn is the newest attacker and brings a lot of firepower with her. Her railgun ‘s normal fire mode is similar to that of an assault rifle and is particularly effective at medium range. If you hit an enemy, the secondary fire mode charges up. At the push of a button, you fire a laser beam with high penetration power, which can partially eliminate heroes with a well-aimed shot.

With her Powerslide , Sojourn moves across the playing field at breakneck speed. If you jump while doing this, you will be catapulted into the air. So you can avoid enemy attacks and reach higher levels. The “ Overclock ” Ultimate automatically charges your railgun, allowing you to continuously fire in secondary mode for a short period of time.

Genji

Genji has always been one of the most popular and strongest heroes in the game . The Roboninja impresses with an enormously high mobility and also has a devastating burs potential.

Entire teams can be knocked out of the game using the Dragon Blade ult . However, realizing Genji’s full potential takes a lot of practice.

The best supporters in Overwatch 2

Kiriko

Kiriko is the new support heroine and has catapulted herself straight to the top of the current meta with her extensive kit. As weapons, Kiriko has healing charms and kunais , which she uses to deal high critical damage.

Kiriko is also one of the most mobile support heroes in the game. You can teleport to allied characters with the push of a button . This not only frees you from sticky situations, but also quickly takes you back into the fray.

Ana

Ana has always been one of the top picks in the esports scene. With the release of Overwatch 2, some heroes and abilities have been adjusted. Many abilities that could stun opponents have been deprecated or reworked. The sniper ‘s tranquilizer dart is more appreciated than ever. You can use it to interrupt Ultimates and disable important targets.

The biotic grenades allow for powerful burst heals from allies and prevent enemies hit from being healed. With the enormously powerful ult “Nanoboost” you decide tricky arguments in your favor.
