Nedry’s infamous lock screen
For a reference to computer scientist Dennis Nedry’s “Uh uh uh, you didn’t say the magic word” computer lock screen, go in any level and enter the management tabs. These are located at the top left of the build menu. Next, try to access the fossils screen BEFORE building a science center. You’ll see a familiar message – and no, it won’t help if you say “please”.

Inflation is faithfully represented in Jurassic World Evolution’s Return to Jurassic Park expansion. To be in line with the economy of the 90s, all cash values are about 60% of what they are today. However, running a large dinosaur theme park still costs an arm and a leg.
The Song’s Secret Connection
At any time in Jurassic World Evolution, you can take the controls of a 4×4 and drive around your park, even opening the doors of any paddock to get off the beaten path and see the big critters up close. While driving, listen carefully to the radio and you may hear a song called Las Gaviotas. It’s the same song that plays in the background when Nedry meets Dodgson in Jurassic Park.

Have you ever wondered why it was called the Crichtonsaurus? Meaning “Crichton’s Lizard”, it is named after Michael Crichton, award-winning author of Jurassic Park (1990) and The Lost World (1995). When paleontologists in China discovered a herbivorous ankylosaur in 1999, they paid tribute to it. You can resurrect the Crichtonsaurus in Jurassic World Evolution.
Unique voice lines
When you complete a contract to complete 60% of the Dilophosaurus genome, Crisis Management Chief Cabot Finch chimes in with a nod to the tumultuous events of Jurassic Park: “It looks like one of our genome cabinets was left open. Nearby, a can of Barbasol shaving cream was found. Empty. The can appears to have been modified to contain something. Either way, we have a team investigating!”
Social behavior of goats
Live goats are enjoyed by carnivorous dinosaurs in the parks. As Alan Grant once said, species like the T.rex “don’t want to be fed, they want to hunt.” But what happens when the dinosaur is not hungry? Goats can sometimes join the social groups of certain dinosaurs. Just as dogs are man’s best friend, goats can be a dinosaur’s best friend…until mealtime.
The secret goat on the map
Jurassic World Evolution takes place on Las Cinco Muertes, or “The Five Deaths”, an archipelago known for its stunning beauty, deadly dinosaurs and, of course, goats. As you move the cursor over the Expedition map to western Mexico and observe these islands, watch out for the UI update for a very goaty reference!

To bring new dinosaurs to your park, you must first find them. And for that, you send intrepid teams of paleontologists to the most remote corners of the globe, tasked with carefully digging up fossils and sending them back to talented bioengineers to reconstruct their genomes. While digging, your teams may also uncover real pirate treasure, which fetches $500,000 when sold. This will definitely help you finance your operations.
