The White Shadow is a four-star Claymore from Genshin Impact that we can forge in the blacksmith if we have a North Greatsword Prototype, fifty pieces of glass and fifty pieces of white iron.
It is a Claymore that is very focused on enhancing its user’s Defense, its secondary stat gives us Defense and its passive also increases Defense as we hit enemies with our normal attacks.
It is not a weapon that stands out for having very high stats, however it does have a passive that can be interesting in the long term. With this in mind, let’s look at the White Shadow’s stats.
WHITE SHADOW ATTRIBUTES IN GENSHIN IMPACT
These are the stats of the White Shadow:
- Base Attack Level 1: 42
- Base Attack Level 90: 510
Regarding the Base Attack, it is not a weapon that stands out for it or the opposite; shares the same Base Attack with the Rain Reaper and Sea Serpent Pith .
- Defense Level 1: 11.3%
- Defense Level 90: 51.7%
Defense is a secondary stat that will greatly limit the characters we can equip it to, since their thing is to look for someone who scales their damage in some way with respect to their defense. Although it is true that it seems to me that the Defense it gives us falls somewhat short if we compare it, for example, with the Cinnabar Spindle (which is also an event weapon).
The passive effect of the White Shadow is as follows:
- After attacking an enemy with a Normal or Charged Attack, for 6 seconds the Attack and Defense of our character will increase by 6% (12% in R5). This effect can only be activated once every 0.5 seconds and stacks a maximum of four times.
The truth is that if we have the Claymore refined to the maximum, andThis passive ability is not bad at all; if we do the calculations we will see that with the four charges at R5 we would have both Attack and Defense increased by 48% (the problem is that the bonus lasts only six seconds, but it is not a problem because it is very easy to obtain the charges).
WHAT CHARACTER DO I PUT IT ON?
Well, to begin with, it must be a character that has the role of Main DPS, we have to take into account that its passive only lasts six seconds and you have to be accumulating it over and over again to take advantage of it and obviously it must also be someone who scales your damage with the Defense; So the candidates are:
Noelle is a perfect candidate for this weapon, since activating her Ultimate Ability increases her Attack compared to her Defense, and this effect is amplified much more by having Noelle’s sixth constellation.
It is a character that, after all, we all get shortly after starting the game and generally it is usually the one we have from Main DPS (unless you have disgusting luck and you get a Diluc first) and by being able to craft this Claymore in blacksmithing, it makes it very affordable.
Obviously, Itto is going to pay much more for the Redhorn Greatsword than anything else, however if we have a White Shadow with several refinements and we don’t have the aforementioned one, it is an option to consider.
In this case we have the same benefits that they bring to Noelle, but amplified; Itto increases his Attack much more than Noelle and also with his ulti he gains a lot of speed when dealing hits, which means that we will take advantage of the effect of the passive in a more optimal way.
