Epic of the Desert Pavilion is a set of artifacts whose domain is located in the Sumeru region and will serve us exclusively to build characters of the Anemo element in Genshin Impact .
Until now in the game we have only had one domain of each element that gives us a 15% Elemental Bonus, but this set has broken with this tradition, being Anemo the first element with two domains in which we can get artifacts that give us a Bonus Anemo Elemental with the two-piece set.
Epic of the Golden Pavilion emerges as an alternative to Emerald Green Shadow for those Anemo characters whose role in the team is that of Main DPS, focusing their damage on Normal, Charged or Descending Attacks. Since until now the only thing we had for the Anemo characters was Emerald Green Shadow and characters like Xiao were left out of this since we either took this set to build a Support or a DPS Enabler.
But this does not mean that we are going to get rid of continuing to take Emerald Green Shadow artifacts, but rather that we will complement the Main DPS that carries this new set and we will leave a Support like Faruzán with Emerald Green Shadow to lower the rest of the Elemental Resistances in a way passive (in the case that we carry DPS Supports that allow us to make interesting Elemental Reactions ).
That being said, let’s see how we can get the pieces of this set, what benefits they will bring to our build and the characters that will best take advantage of it.
HOW TO GET THE DESERT PAVILION EPIC SET
At the moment this information is not available, but we will update this information as soon as more precision is known.
These would be all the pieces of the set:
- Flower : Beginnings of the Capital of the Kings.
- Feather : End of the Golden Kingdoms.
- Clock : Clock of Loss.
- Chalice : Safeguard of the Heady Dream.
- Crown : Legacy of the Desert Heir.
WHAT DOES THIS SET OF ARTIFACTS PROVIDE US?
Let’s see what effects this set gives us:
- 2 Pieces : +15% Anemo Damage Bonus.
- 4 Pieces : When hitting an enemy with a Charged Attack we will increase the attack speed of the owner of this set by 10% and the damage of Normal, Charged and Descending Attacks will be increased by 40% for 15 seconds.
As with Emerald Green Shadow, the two-piece bonus in this set will grant us a 15% Anemo Damage Bonus; something that will come in handy to have another alternative to Emerald Green Shadow that is used by practically all the characters of this element (such as for Jean in teams of 2 Geo characters and two Anemo characters in which Elemental Resistances cannot be lowered , which would be equipped with two pieces from this set and another two from Gladiator’s Endgame or something similar).
The bonus for carrying four pieces of this set will increase the damage of Normal, Charged and Descending Attacks by 40% for 15 seconds, an effect very similar to that of four pieces of Reminiscence of Purification; the latter provides a little more damage but we will lose Elemental Energy when activating the Elemental Skill and also its duration is 5 seconds less.
So we find ourselves with a pretty good set with a powerful and long-lasting bonus, the only downside is that we will need to remember that if we go with a character that does not use his Charged Attacks, that we have to execute one of these to activate the bonus of the set of four pieces.
WHAT CHARACTER DO I PUT IT ON?
This set will only be profitable if we equip it on Anemo characters that have the role of Main DPS, that their damage comes from their Normal, Charged or Descending Attacks and that they spend a lot of time on the battlefield.
As expected, the Wanderer is one of the characters that pays off this set the most since it has great speed when it comes to attacking and this will be boosted with the help of this set (and if you have Tulaytulah’s Reminiscence and its C1, this will be enhanced much more).
The Wanderer’s role is none other than that of Main DPS and with the effect of his Elemental Skill he will spend a lot of time executing basics that will generate Anemo Damage, therefore the duration of the set’s effect will be enough to cover the duration of his Skill Elemental and we will always have an additional 40% damage from his Normal and Charged Attacks.
His Elemental Ability transforms his Charged and Normal Attacks into special and more damaging ones, so this set will help us further increase the damage of these hits. In addition, since he will alternate his Normal and Charged Attacks, we will have no problem activating the bonus of the four-piece set.
Although Xiao is the only character that takes advantage of the Cinnabar Decay artifact set, that does not mean that he is not a pretty good candidate to carry this new set of artifacts, since on the one hand it increases the Anemo Damage Bonus and It is one of the few sets that increase the damage of the Descending Attacks (which in the end practically all of Xiao’s damage comes from the latter).
The only drawback of this set is that we will have to execute a Charged Attack to activate the advantages that the four-piece set gives us, but the good part is that the bonus to the Descending Attacks and the Attack Speed last the same as its Ulti. . Another small advantage is that we will gain some Attack Speed which will be useful to speed up Charged Attacks.
And finally another character that can also work perfectly with this set is Shikanoin Heizou ; he also spends a lot of time on the battlefield hitting with his Normal Attacks and has great speed when attacking with them, also this effect is reinforced by having his first Constellation.
The downside is that the damage of his Basic Attacks is much lower than that of the Wanderer, but if we take this set of artifacts together with a good Faruzan that boosts the damage of our Heizou or if we have the Tulaytulah Reminiscence catalyst, we can leave aside his role as an Enabler and boost the damage of his Basic Attacks to get more out of him offensively.
