The Celestial Scroll is a five-star catalyst in Genshin Impact that we can obtain in both the Permanent Gachapon and the Promotional Weapon Gachapon.
It is a weapon that stands out especially for the tremendous amount of Attack that it can provide to its user, it is also a very versatile catalyst that can be useful both for a character that occupies the position of Main DPS or for a character that we carry like Support DPS.
It’s certainly one of the best weapons in this weapon set next to the Celestial Wings , so let’s take a closer look at it and see its best user options.
CELESTIAL SCROLL ATTRIBUTES IN GENSHIN IMPACT
Let’s start by looking at its attributes:
- Base Attack Level 1: 48.
- Base Attack Level 90: 674.
The Base Attack is the parameter in which it stands out the most and perhaps the most interesting thing that this catalyst has, since there is no other catalyst that has this high amount.
- Attack % Level 1: 7.2%.
- Attack % Level 90: 33.1%.
By having a very high Base Attack you already know that it is compensated with a somewhat lower stat in the secondary stat; It would have been more interesting if this stat gave us Critical Chance or Critical Damage instead of this amount of Attack.
In the case of the Celestial Scroll, its Passive Ability gives us two effects:
- +12% Elemental Damage Bonus (24% on R5).
- When hitting an enemy with a Normal Attack we will have a 50% chance to activate the Grace of the Clouds effect, when this effect is activated a sphere will be created that will attack enemies for 15 seconds inflicting 160% of the Attack (320% in R5) of the character that has this catalyst equipped (this effect can be activated once every 30 seconds).
A positive point is that it gives us an Elemental Damage Bonus that we will always have active, it is not as big as that of the Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds but we will not have to wait the time that this weapon needs to accumulate its bonuses (something which makes the Scroll good for characters that we only use as Support DPS and are barely on the field).
The other effect of the passive will have to be activated by executing Basic Attacks, so if we equip it to a Support DPS it would not be bad to execute a couple of basics quickly to activate this effect, since the good thing about it is that it will continue to hit in the field even if we change characters (but you already know that this amount of damage is not going to be very relevant, as usually happens with this type of effects that generate Physical Damage).
WHAT CHARACTER DO I PUT IT ON?
It can be useful for us both as a Main DPS and as a Support DPS since it has good stats, just remember to run a couple of basic ones if you equip it to a Support and want to activate its passive effect.
Obviously it does not overcome the Kagura Axiom which is totally tailored to it, but it is one of the best options for Yae Miko and with which it will do the most damage. Fortunately, she has a very high Base Attack and therefore takes advantage of this catalyst, greatly increasing the damage of her attacks.
The advantage that this catalyst offers us against Symphony of the Marauders is that we will have a more stable damage in comparison, perhaps this will give us greater bonuses but the cooldown of its passive effect is quite long and you will not have it active when Yae has her Ultimate Ability .
We’ll usually run her as Support DPS and she’ll love having that 12% Elemental Damage Bonus always on for when we put the Kitsune Cherry Trees into play or cast her powerful Ultimate.
What interests us the most about Mona in her Support DPS role is constantly using her Ultimate to take advantage of her high damage output and omen effect. With this catalyst we will ensure that we always have an Elemental Damage bonus active and will take advantage of the large amount of Attack that it grants to boost the damage of her Ultimate Ability a lot.
It is a pretty good option for Shikanoin Heizou whether we take him as a Main DPS with an Enabler role or if we take him as a Support DPS to deal a lot of damage focusing only on the use of his Elemental and Ultimate Ability (although perhaps this weapon shines more in his Support DPS role).
One of Heizou’s biggest problems is that his Base Attack is quite low and can become a problem, which we can easily fix with the large amount that this catalyst will provide.
Other characters that can take advantage of this catalyst:
- Klee : In her case, the Lost Prayer to the Holy Winds seems like a better option for her, but Klee has a not bad Base Attack and can take advantage of this catalyst.
- Yanfei : His Base Attack is a bit weak and this weapon will not hurt him at all to balance it, although it really happens to him like Klee and he gets more out of the Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds.
