IS KILLING KATSURAGI WORTH IT IN GENSHIN?

IS KILLING KATSURAGI WORTH IT IN GENSHIN?

The Katsuragi Assassination is one of the Genshin Impact 4-star weapons that we can make in the Inazuma forge and the truth is that while we can’t call it an amazing weapon, we can’t say it’s bad either.

It is a claymore that in the end fulfills the role it fulfills, which in this case is to help a lot with regard to recharging and generating energy for the character, something that, after all, many characters in the game need. The pity is that at least in terms of damage it is not that good (although it contributes something) and surely that is where it loses a lot, but it still has that utility that is not bad at all.

We can get it at the Tatarasuna forge, we will have to find 3 keys that are in the area and use them to open a gate that is there where we will find a chest with the plan. In addition we will obtain the achievement “The Great-Sword”.

KATSURAGI ASSASSINATION ATTRIBUTES IN GENSHIN IMPACT

Let’s start with an analysis of its attributes:

  • Base Attack Level 1: 42.
  • Base Attack Level 90: 510.

As for Base Attack it doesn’t stand out, it’s a bit in the middle and on par with swords like the Rain Reaper , the Sea Serpent Pith (highly recommended) or the White Shadow . Let’s remember that the Base Attack is an important statistic since the higher it is, the more the Attack % that the character has will spread (assuming that it is a character that benefits from the Attack, which is the most normal).

  • Energy Recharge Level 1: 10%.
  • Energy Recharge Level 90: 45.9%.

As a secondary stat we have a very interesting amount of Energy Recharge, something that in the end is vital, especially for those characters that do not recharge too well (which are not few). As much as we generally look for damage and more damage, we must not forget that the recharge is very important in many characters to be able to have the Ulti always ready in our rotations.

To say anyway that at least in terms of Energy Recharge, Favonius’s Great Sword should be taken into account more, since it provides us with nothing more and nothing less than 61.3% of Energy Recharge (with a little less Base Attack, that it’s true).

Its passive effect is as follows:

  • Increases Elemental Skill damage by 6%. 12% in R5.
  • When using the Elemental Skill you lose 3 points of energy but you generate 3 points every 2 seconds for 6 seconds. In R5 you generate 5 points every 2 seconds for 6 seconds (you still lose 3 points at the start).

The damage increase of the elemental is fine, without more, at least we have something that increases our damage although it is not a lot. And speaking of the input energy passive, comment that this energy is only for the character that equips it, so it does not help him to be a better battery for the rest of the group (something that Favonius’s weapons do).

It is true that in R5 the amount of total energy generated is quite high, but it is also true that it does not seem like a good Claymore to me to spend so many weapon prototypes on it . I would also like to mention that in terms of energy generation I find Favonius’s Great Sword better, but at least it has that damage increase which is not bad.

WHAT CHARACTER DO I PUT IT ON?

The ideal will be to put it on those Claymore characters that have enough problems generating energy.

Sayu in Genshin Impact

It is great for Sayu because, after all, she is a character that needs a lot of Recharge to be able to have the Ulti always ready in order to efficiently fulfill her role as a healer. This would allow us to focus more on other aspects that she needs in the face of Artifacts like increasing her Attack and her Elemental Mastery  (the latter especially if you have it at C6). The passive’s damage increase is true that she won’t take much advantage of it since she does more damage based on Elemental Reactions, but hey, it all adds up.

Beidou in Genshin Impact

Beidou is probably one of the characters with the most energy generation problems in the game and of course the Assassination of Katsuragi will be a huge help in this regard; In addition, she will take advantage of that extra elemental damage increase of the passive very well (especially if you do a parry). The only thing is that personally I would try to put a more offensive weapon on it, such as King of Evil or the Marrow of the Sea Serpent and in any case I would put an Energy Recharge clock on it so that it recharges better (and if you wear it with Emblem of Fate then better) or you use them together with Fischl to help him with energy… that kind of thing.

Noelle in Genshin Impact

Noelle is another character that has quite a bit of trouble generating energy (not so much on monogeo teams) and therefore is also a good candidate for this Claymore, but she won’t take much advantage of the passive’s elemental damage increase and the fact that the weapon doesn’t have a high Base Attack it doesn’t matter to her as she benefits from Defense.

  • Eula : She has enough energy generation problems and therefore I would take advantage of it, but it would be better to put a more offensive weapon and look for the recharge in substats and put her with teammates who help her in this aspect like Diona  or Rosaria . The damage increase of the elemental does not take advantage of it as much since that extra physical hit that we give when we use the Elemental Ability with 2 charges is considered Ulti damage and is what really does very good damage.
