by The Vessel Fragments are one of the many collectibles that Hollow Knight has , one of the best Indie Video Games of all time.
They should not be confused with the Mask Fragments since despite having more or less the same idea, they have some very clear differences:
- The Vessel Fragments will give us a small extra Soul recharges. When we have the Soul full, a small bubble will be filled that will store 1/3 of the total Soul, whenever possible, the Soul will be filled with these recharges. These refills come in handy!
- These improve every time you get three instead of four.
- There are a total of 9 scattered throughout the game.

LOCATION OF ALL VESSEL FRAGMENTS
Here is the location of all the Vessel Fragments that are scattered around Hallownest:
DIRTY MOUTH
Sly (the merchant from Dirtmouth, the little bug) will provide us with a couple of Vessel Fragments in total:
- The first can be obtained from the start of the game and costs 550 geo.
- The second can only be obtained after obtaining the Merchant’s Key and will cost 900.
With this we already have 2/9.
ESSENCE REWARD
The Seer (found in Resting Lands, you will come across her no matter what in your game) will also give us one as a reward for collecting 700 Essence . In this link you can see all the other rewards for Essence.
With this we already have 3!
SCATTERED BY HALLOWNEST
There are a few scattered around Hallownest, specifically 4 of them. These appear in the following areas.
We have the first one in Sendero Verde , it is on the way to Jardines de la Reina and you will have to bounce on some bugs that swim on the harmful water to advance. You will definitely need the Mantis Claws (link here to the guide to all the skills ) and if you already have the Tear of Isma… it will be a breeze, since the water will not harm you. Here is the exact location below:
We continue! Next we can find two near the two elevators in Ciudad de Lágrimas (one to the northwest and one to the north of Estación del Rey).
- One is located right where you appear when going up with the Elevator (you can only do this when you have taken this elevator at least once from City of Tears) to Forgotten Crossings with the elevator. When you’re at the top and can get out of it, head left and you’ll find him in that room. To get to it you will have to carefully jump through the hole that has spikes on the sides and go to the left.
- For the next one you will have to go to King’s Station and head up as if you wanted to go to the elevator that takes you to Resting Lands. I leave you below a photo of the exact location of this Vessel Fragment.
Yet another can be found in Deep Nest near the Tram Room (not where you get the pass, on the tram itself) that connects Deep Nest to Old Basin. Photo below:
This Fragment is especially annoying, it is located in the room indicated by the photo on the far right. You will have to bounce on a centipede while dodging certain obstacles. It’s a bit tricky, but nothing like what awaits you on the Path of Pain , so take heart!
With these Vessel Fragments we already have 7!
THE PALE KING STATUE/FOUNTAIN
If you have already been in Old Cuenca and have investigated them well, surely you have been surprised by that curious statue/fountain (which is of the Pale King , I leave you here a link with more info on the Hollow Knight Lore ).
If you interact with her, she’ll let you donate Geo to her, which at first glance doesn’t seem like a very good idea… But you know that in many games they tend to reward this type of charitable behavior by different means, and this is a good example of it.
By donating a total of 3000 Geos (you can do it all at once or little by little) we will obtain a Vessel Fragment. We only have one more fragment left!
DEER NESTS
And to finish we will get another Vessel Fragment by discovering all the Stag stations in Hollow Knight. During your game, sooner or later you will end up finding them, but in any case, one day I will surely make a guide with their locations. (#All)
When you discover all of them you have to talk to the Old Stag and he will take you to the Stag’s Nest (a new Stag station that is in Howling Cliffs), however… well, you will see what you will find when you arrive, because it is not very good news for your friend Deer. Anyway, to the subject, that in this place you will find a Vessel Fragment, which is what we are going to in this post.
And with this one we would already have all 9 and therefore a total of three soul charges! You will see how well these come, they will get you out of more than one hurry, I assure you.
