Pokochos are bun-shaped candies that are characteristic of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Glittering Pearl (and the original game); we use them to raise the statistics of charisma, beauty, sweetness, ingenuity and toughness of our Pokémon to be able to face the Super Contests.
The first thing we will need to create Pokochos will be to obtain a Pokochera to be able to store them; so let’s get to it.
HOW TO GET THE POKOCHERA IN POKÉMON SHINY DIAMOND OR POKÉMON SHINY PEARL
In the first place we must arrive at Ciudad Corazón; after this we will look for the Pokémon Fan Club that is next to the Pokémon Store in this city.
We just have to go inside and talk to the President of the Pokémon Fan Club (an old NPC who looks like the lord of Monopoly) so that he can give us the Pokochera.
HOW TO COOK POKOCHOS
First we will have to go to Ciudad Corazón and we have two options; We can make them in the Pokochería casserole or we can do it in the Plaza Amistad casserole (if we do it here, the “monkey” Pokémon that we have in the team will accompany us).
Then we have to choose four berries (beware, you should never repeat a berry because the Pokocho will go wrong), depending on the berries we choose, the Pokocho will have one flavor or another.
Once the berries are added to the pan, we have to use the joysticks to stir the mixture in the direction indicated by the arrows.
At first we will have to stir it a little slower (because if you go too fast, the mixture overflows), but when we start to see that the Pokocho solidifies (the colored dots in the dough begin to be noticed), then we have to give it to the joystick with all our strength to finish it as quickly as possible (also, if we are slow at this point it burns very quickly).
The most optimal we can achieve is to do 0 burns, 0 spills and finish it around 40 seconds.
PROPERTIES OF THE POKOCHOS
When cooking a Pokocho and feeding the Pokémon, we have to take into account the following factors:
DOUGH
It is somewhat similar to protein, iron, zinc, calcium, etc. There comes a time when the Pokémon reaches its limit and cannot eat any more Pokochos (once it reaches this point, it is irreversible and will never eat Pokochos again).
Well, when eating the Pokochos we will notice that their brightness bar increases (we can see it in the Pokémon’s data, within qualities); when they reach 255 they won’t be able to eat anymore so my advice is that you try to prepare the Pokochos as well as possible and don’t give anything to the Pokémon, because if you don’t you will have to start from 0 with a different Pokémon.
Depending on the type of berry we use, the Pokocho will have more or less mass and will fill the brightness bar faster (inside the berry tabs we can see the size and hardness of each one).
LEVEL
Depending on how well we have cooked it, the berries we have mixed and the time it has taken; we will get a Pokocho of a higher or lower level (obviously the worse we get, the lower the level will be).
The only thing that this feature influences is that the higher the level, the more the attributes of our Pokémon will rise in the face of a contest.
TASTE
Each Pokocho has a different flavor or a mixture of several and something that we have to take into account is that depending on the nature of each Pokémon they will like a specific type of Pokocho or several (some like any type).
If we feed a Pokémon with a different Pokocho to its liking, our friendship with it will drop and the attribute increase will not be as effective (so you know, be careful with natures).
TYPES OF POKOCHO
Next we will see all the variants of Pokocho that we can get in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond or Shiny Pearl according to the combinations of berries that we use and our skills when cooking them.

Spicy-flavored Pokochos increase the charisma of our Pokémon. If we mix spicy berries with other types of berries we will obtain the following variants:

OTHER POKEMON
The worst Pokochos in the game and the best ones fall into this category, they are not so linked to flavor and are the following:
- Chungo Pokocho : This is a Pokocho that is best avoided; we create it by combining more than one berry of the same type or by burning the mixture multiple times. Increases various stats very slightly.
- Pasty Pokocho : Practically the same as the previous one with the difference that we generate it by moving the joysticks very quickly and thus spilling the mixture several times.
- Pokocho Meaty : It has a grayish color and it seems that we have done something wrong, but not really; It is a Pokocho that increases several qualities and is quite good. To do it we will have to mix berries of many different flavors and cook it practically perfectly (at best a burn or a spill will strain you).
- Soft Pokocho : It is the best Pokocho in the game and increases all the qualities at the same time, to be able to do it you have to be very good at cooking Pokochos (with a Zanama, Ispero, Pinia and Higog berry we can make this type of Pokocho).
MULTI-FLAVORED BERRIES
With this type of berries we will get the Pokochos that increase more than one stat at the same time, such as those with two flavors, the substantial ones or the soft ones.
