GUIDE TO PHANTYLIA THE IMMORTAL ON HONKAI STAR RAIL

GUIDE TO PHANTYLIA THE IMMORTAL ON HONKAI STAR RAIL

Phantylia the Immortal is the first Honkai Star Rail Weekly Boss whose combat consists of 3 phases; in her first stage she will perform attacks that deal Wind Damage, in her second she will switch to Lightning Element and finally, she will end the fight using moves that deal Imaginary Damage (which interestingly, these elements coincide with her weaknesses).

Although really, the biggest obstacle in this fight will be the lotuses that Phantylia summons throughout the phases, there are two types: the Lotuses of Abundance, which can heal themselves and reduce our Basic Ability points, and the Lotuses of Destruction, which can reduce the HP that we can recover when healing ourselves as well as having very lethal attacks.

The key to this fight will be to defeat these lotuses at the right time, especially the Destruction ones, since by causing a Weakness Break on them, the boss will take double damage for 1 turn ; although do not underestimate the Lotuses of Abundance either, since they will give us back 3 points of Basic Ability when defeated.

And before seeing its movements and weaknesses, comment that we will also have a button similar to the Resonance of the Way of the Simulated Universe, when we fill its bar, we will activate the Hymnonube Roar and Dan Heng – Lunae Imbibitor will appear to deal great Imaginary Damage in area.

WEEKLY BOSS LOCATION AND UNLOCK REQUIREMENTS

In order to face Phantylia the Immortal as a Weekly Boss, we will have to have faced this same enemy as a boss during the main mission of Pathfinder, during the act called “the desolate depths of despair” (the combat is the same both in the story as in your weekly challenge).

Location of Phantylia the Immortal on Honkai Star Rail

The door of the Echoes of War of this Weekly Boss is called ” Divine Seed ” and is located on the planet the Luofu of Xianzhou, specifically in the west of the Gorge of Scales.

ATTACK GUIDE

The combat is divided into 3 phases:

PHASE 1: WIND RELEASE

These are all the attacks that Phantylia can perform in her first phase:

  • Acchata – Wind Formation : The enemy will attack doing a flip on one of our characters to deal Wind Damage.
  • Purifying Sweep – Phantylia will strike the entire party by performing an area attack with her fan to deal a small amount of Wind Damage to all party members.
  • Entwined Roots : An attack that generates roots for a few moments that will imprison one of our allies to delay their action while inflicting Wind Damage.
  • Splendorous Bloom : This ability will allow you to summon two Lotuses of Abundance on the battlefield, you can use it more than once throughout the fight if we have previously eliminated them.

During this first phase, you will be able to summon two Lotuses of Abundance that will restore half of your own HP each time you perform an action; These are his abilities:

  • Samsara : When using this ability we will lose a point of Basic Ability.
  • Therapy : Allows you to recover HP each time your turn begins.
  • Moksha : By depleting its PV bar, it will allow us to recover 3 points of Basic Ability.

PHASE 2: LIGHTNING RELEASE

He will begin his second phase by performing a powerful area attack and will change the type of Elemental Damage he deals, as his attacks will now deal Lightning Damage instead of Wind Damage:

  • Acchata – Thunderbolt : The same attack as in the previous phase, only now it deals Lightning Damage instead of Wind Damage.
  • Descent of the Kalpa : Mark one of our allies and remove the protection against Weakness Break from one of the Lotuses of Destruction so that it uses Hecatomb against the marked ally; it will be necessary to inflict a Weakness Break on said lotus to prevent it from making said attack.
  • Starfall, Lunar Cry : An attack that deals Lightning Damage towards all party members.

In the second phase the Lotuses of Abundance will be replaced by Lotuses of Destruction, these can do us a lot of damage and can prevent us from regenerating part of the HP we have lost:

  • Hecatomb : A powerful attack that deals Lightning Damage ignoring its target’s DEF, its damage depends on how much HP the Lotus of Destruction has left.
  • Extraction of Black Prana : This attack does not deal damage, but it has a high chance of affecting us with a negative state that will prevent us from regenerating 40% of the HP we have lost.
  • Bloom : For the Lotus to go into Bloom you will need Phantylia to use Kalpa Descent, during Bloom the Lotus will be vulnerable to Weakness Break. If we don’t manage to break her Stamina bar in time, she will attack us using Hecatomb, but if we manage to break it, the attack will be canceled and Phantylia will take 50% more damage for 1 turn while her action will be delayed.
  • Hibernation : When their HP bar is depleted, they are not removed from the field, but instead enter this state for 2 turns until they recover.

PHASE 3: IMAGINARY ELEMENT

He changes his Elemental Damage again, this time to Imaginary Element. The moves he executes during this last phase are mostly a rehash of other attacks from his previous phases:

  • Apotheosis of the Tree : An attack in area that generates Imaginary Damage against all our allies.
  • Furor : This attack does not deal damage, but it has a good chance of affecting us with a negative state that will prevent us from regenerating 40% of the HP we have lost.
  • Intertwined Roots : It is the same attack in area that he makes in the first phase, but this time inflicting Imaginary Damage.
  • Splendorous Bloom : This is again the first phase ability that allows you to summon the Lotuses of Abundance.
  • Descent of the Kalpa : We have also seen this before in the second phase, it marks an ally so that the Lotus of Destruction can execute the attack called Hecatomb on our character in the event that we fail to cause a Weakness Break before it the lotus acts again to launch this movement.

As for the lotuses, this time we will have to face the Lotuses of Abundance and the Lotuses of Destruction at the same time.

ENEMY WEAKNESSES AND RECOMMENDED CHARACTERS

Phantylia the Immortal has a weakness to the following elements:

  • wind .
  • Lightning .
  • imaginary .

However, it has resistance to the following states:

  • Freeze State .
  • Entanglement State .

Lotuses of Abundance have the following weaknesses:

  • wind .
  • imaginary .

While Lotuses of Destruction have these weaknesses:

  • quantum .
  • Lightning .
  • imaginary .
Jing Yuan on Honkai Star Rail

These are the characters that we recommend the most according to their routes :

  • 1 Destruction/Erudition : His attacks in the area will be great for us to create Weakness Breaks and to be able to inflict damage on the boss while we destroy the lotuses.
    • Jing Yuan : Almost all of his skills allow us to attack all the enemies on the field at the same time and he is one of the characters of the Path of Erudition that can inflict the most damage.
    • Blade : It is a DPS that can inflict a very high amount of Wind Damage and both its Additional Attacks and its Ultimate Ability and empowered Basic Attacks attack in an area; Of course, we will have to have his PV bar very controlled so that he does not die easily.
    • Serval : In the event that we don’t have Jing Yuan among our characters, we can replace him with Serval without problems, since it also produces good Lightning Damage in an area even if it does not reach the level of Jing Yuan.
    • Arlan : He is a character who can deal a lot of Lightning Damage when his HP is low, but in the case of taking him for this fight, we will have to take a pretty good Conservation that can support him.
  • 1 Hunt : To deal a lot of damage to Phantylia the Immortal.
    • Dan Heng : As Phantylia is weak against Wind Release, we can make use of Dan Heng (which is a character we all have) as DPS on our team to deal a lot of Wind Damage to this boss.
    • Seele : The problem with playing this character is that only Destruction Lotuses have a weakness to Quantum Element, but if we have Silver Wolf in the team to add the weakness to the boss, it can come in handy due to its high damage .
  • 1 Nihility/Harmony : We will cover this gap with a character that gives us certain advantages to the group or that applies harmful states to the enemy.
    • Silver Wolf : In the event that we do not have enough characters of Phantylia’s weaknesses, Silver Wolf’s Elemental Ability will come in handy to be able to adapt the composition of our group a bit, not counting the great drop in DEF that her Ability entails Ultimate and how useful the bugs are with which it can affect enemies.
    • Welt : It will be great to imprison enemies, to affect them with Slow and it will be especially useful when it comes to causing Weakness Breaks to both Phantylia and her Lotuses of Destruction.
    • Sampo : It can deal a lot of Damage Over Time by affecting enemies with the Weathering negative status and it will also be very useful for us to perform Weakness Breaks on both Phantylia and her Lotuses of Abundance.
    • Yukong : In addition to providing some tremendous buffs with his abilities, we have to remember that this character is especially good at creating Weakness Breaks, so he will be one of the best options to compose our team.
    • Bronya : It will be in charge of boosting the ATK% and the CRIT Damage of the team while advancing actions when using its Basic Ability, which will be very useful because it also removes negative states, so it will allow us to remove the annoying state inflicted by this boss to limit the amount of HP we can regenerate.
  • 1 Abundance/Conservation : To preserve the health of party members.
    • Luocha : During this battle, the healing provided by the healing field of his Talent will help us a lot and his Basic Ability will also be key to eliminate the negative states that prevent us from regenerating part of the HP.
    • Natasha : Natasha’s Basic Ability will also allow us to eliminate the annoying negative effect produced by Lotuses of Destruction and will provide healing to guarantee the survival of the team.
    • Bailu : The bad thing about Bailu is that he is not capable of removing negative states, but his healing is quite high and he can resurrect an ally if he falls in combat.
    • Gepard : He can give us some pretty solid shields with his Ultimate to keep the team alive, but his Basic Ability can be a bit useless in this fight due to the fact that the enemy has Freeze resistance.

Equipment Suggestions :

  • Seele, Arlan, Silver Wolf and Luocha.
  • Dan Heng, Serval, Sampo and Natasha.
  • Dan Heng, Jing Yuan, Welt and Natasha.
  • Selee, Serval, Silver Wolf and Gepard.
  • Dan Heng, Blade, Sampo and Natasha.
  • Dan Heng, Arlan, Yukong and Bailu.
