Lyney is the first five-star character to belong to the Fontaine region in Genshin Impact ; He is an archer who has the role of Main DPS , his main source of damage comes from his Charged Attacks and he stands out for being played mainly on teams composed mostly of characters with Pyro Release.
A negative aspect of this character is that he is quite restrictive in terms of team building, due to one of his passives causing his damage to scale a lot when enemies are affected by Pyro. This bonus reaches its maximum bonus by adding two more characters in the team composition that also belong to the Pyro Element.
Search in google for Korometa, it’s my new page about builds, at the moment of Genshin Impact.
Therefore, the teams with Lyney will be very similar to the ones that emerged with the Geo Element when Arataki Itto first came out in the game; we will be able to generate a very high Pyro Elemental Damage at the cost of generating practically no Elemental Reaction. Although in this case we are not too interested in generating these, since these can mean an occasional loss of the enemies’ Pyro application and therefore, Lyney’s damage would be reduced.
LYNEY’S STATS
Lyney’s stats are quite balanced, but if we compare him to other goalkeepers with the same role, he falters a bit defensively; These would be his parameters when promoting it to level 90:
- Base Life: 11,021.
- Base Attack: 318.
- Base Defense: 538.
- Critical Chance: 24.2%.
His Base Health is quite decent and his Base Attack is considerably high among five-star archers with the same role, although he is surpassed by characters like Ganyu or Yoimiya in this regard. Ascending him will give you Critical Chance , which is great for landing critical hits more often with his powerful Charged Attacks.
TALENTS OR SKILLS
Let’s see their talents or abilities.
NORMAL ATTACK: GUESS THE CARD
Their Normal and Descending Attacks are very similar to those of other archers, however their Charged Attacks are quite novel, as they can even summon a creation onto the battlefield and they will be in charge of applying the Pneuma energy.
- Normal Attack : Perform a quick combo of up to four hits.
- Descending Attack : We will hit the ground causing a blow that causes Physical Damage in an area.
- Charged Attack : A precise shot that deals increased damage; When aiming, the arrowhead will be imbued with the Pyro Release and will have different effects depending on how many charges it accumulates:
- Charge 1 : Fires a charged arrow that deals Pyro Damage.
- Charge 2 : Fires a hidden magic arrow that deals Pyro Damage and summons a Dreamcat Hat on impact with an enemy.
When Lyney has more than 60% of her health when shooting a hidden magic arrow, she loses 20% of her health to gain a charge of the effect called “hidden calculus”. These charges don’t really have any effect, they’re just stacks that build up to spend later when casting Lyney’s Elemental Ability.
We will lose the charges of this effect if Lyney takes 30 seconds out of the combat field and we will only be able to reduce Lyney’s Life up to 60% in this way. So initially we can only get 2 charges of this effect until we manage to heal ourselves (in the event that our Lyney has not lost Life).
Dreamcat Hat
- Dreamcat Hat Duration: 4 sec.
- Dreamcat Hat Inherited Health: 115.2% (level 10).
- Pyrotechnic Projectile Damage: 381.6% (level 10).
The function of this hat will be to provoke the enemies to distract them and focus the attacks on it (like Mona’s or Tignari ‘s Elemental Skill ), its characteristics are the following:
- You can only taunt each enemy once every 5 seconds.
- The toughness of this build is directly dependent on Lyney’s Max Health.
- This hat will fire a projectile when its duration expires or when destroyed.
- There can be no more than one Dreamcat Hat on the field at any one time.
Arjé: Pneuma
- Spirit-Breath Thorn Interval: 6 sec.
- Spirit Breath Thorn Damage: 49.49%.
Every 6 seconds, when the hidden magic arrow from Lyney’s Charged Attack hits an enemy, a spirit breath thorn will be created at the enemy’s location, dealing Pyro Damage charged with Pneuma energy .
ELEMENTAL SKILL: LIGHTS OF BEWILDERMENT
- TdE: 15 s.
- Skill Damage: 300.96% (level 10).
- Skill Damage Bonus: 95.76% Attack/Charge (level 10).
- Health Recovery: 20% health / charge.
When executing this Elemental Skill, Lyney will remove her top hat to unleash an area attack that deals Pyro Damage. By doing this, Lyney will consume any “Hidden Calculation” charges she previously gained from launching her Charged Attacks (only Charged Attacks that fire Hidden Magic arrows count, i.e. double-charged ones) to increase the damage of this ability and heal a certain percentage of his Life for each charge of this effect we consume.
In the event that there is still any Dreamcat Hat created by Lyney’s Charged Attacks, it will immediately explode, launching the projectile that it normally generates when its duration expires or when it is defeated by enemies, only in this case, the damage of this it will be considered as Charged Attack damage .
ULTI: MIRACULOUS PARADE
- Energy Cost: 60.
- TdE: 15 s.
- Duration: 3 sec.
- Skill Damage: 277.2% (level 10).
- Pyrotechnic Blast Damage: 745.2% (level 10).
Lyney himself will transform into a huge magical top hat that shoots fireworks at enemies, dealing Pyro Damage, although these fireworks can only damage each enemy once . Once the 3 second duration of this Ultimate Ability expires, it will cause a powerful explosion that deals Pyro Damage in an area.
If we happen to have damaged all the enemies before the Ulti’s duration runs out, we can manually break out of top hat form to deal the damage from the pyrotechnic explosion.
PASSIVE 1: TIMELY DISTRACTION
The Dreamcat Hat created by Lyney’s Charged Attacks will increase its damage by 80% of Lyney’s Attack and will restore 3 Elemental Energy for it if Lyney lost Health while executing this Attack when created.
PASSIVE 2: A LOUD APPLAUSE
The damage dealt by Lyney towards enemies affected by Pyro can be increased by up to 100% under the following criteria:
- From base, damage is increased by 60%.
- For each Pyro character on the party (except Lyney), the damage will be increased by 20%.
This is the main reason that Lyney is played on monopyro teams , as we will need to have at least 2 additional Pyro characters in order to get the maximum bonus that this passive gives us.
PASSIVE 3: OBSERVATION OF THE EVERYDAY
With this Passive Skill, Lyney will show us an icon on the minimap whenever we are near a typical Fontaine object.
It is a very useful talent that will save us time when making routes to get Sumeru’s specialties; it is similar to the talent Yanfei and Qiqi have in Liyue, Mika and Klee in Mondstadt, or Tignari in Sumeru.
CONSTELLATIONS
These are the benefits that Lyney is obtaining through her Constellations:
- C1 – Telekinetic Trick : You can now do 2 Dreamcat Hats at the same time on the battlefield. When we fire a hidden magic arrow at an enemy, it will automatically create 2 Dreamcat Hats instead of 1 and we will also get an additional charge of the hidden calculation effect (this effect can only be activated 1 time every 15 seconds).
- C2 – Attention Trap : For every 2 seconds Lyney spends on the battlefield, she will gain 20% Critical Damage; this effect can stack up to 3 times and will be canceled when Lyney leaves the field.
- C3 – Clever Mimicry : Increases Normal Attacks by 3 levels, can be increased up to 15 levels.
- C4 – Rehearsed Strategy : When Lyney hits an enemy with one of her Charged Attacks, she reduces said enemy’s Pyro Resistance by 20% for 6 seconds.
- C5 – Abscondite Magic : Increases Ultimate Ability by 3 levels, can be increased up to 15 levels.
- C6 – Deceitful Smile : Shooting a hidden magic arrow will release a projectile that deals 80% of the damage dealt by the burst of Lyney’s Ultimate (this damage is considered Charged Attack damage).
The truth is that all his Constellations are quite good, if you like Lyney a lot, I recommend you get his C2 and C3, since C2 can give him up to 60% Critical Damage for the mere fact of spending 6 seconds in the battlefield, while C3 is the first time in the Constellations of a character it is allowed to increase the levels of Normal Attacks by 3 .
Her C6 is absolutely insane, as every time we do a Charged Attack with Lyney, we’ll be dealing 80% of the damage of Lyney’s ult to enemies, which has a pretty interesting damage scaling, but obviously, this just It will be within the reach of a few.
THE BEST BUILD FOR LYNEY ( MAIN DPS )
As we have already mentioned, Lyney’s role will be that of Main DPS; in this one, we will focus on increasing the damage of her Charged Attacks , which will be her most recurring attacks, and we will look for a monopyro team that can support her by providing heals, resistance drops and passive damage.
RECOMMENDED WEAPONS FOR LYNEY
These are some of the bows with which we can equip our Lyney:
- The First Great Number of Magic ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ : It is an excellent bow that gives us a good Base Attack, an excellent Critical Damage rate and increases our Attack if we have characters with the same elemental type as the bearer of this bow.
- Lightning Agitator ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ : The statistics provided by this bow are very similar to the previous one, only that it provides a +20% bonus to Attack with its passive and increases the damage of Normal Attacks, the latter is what The only one that doesn’t fit with the Lyney kit.
- Winter Star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ : A bow that gives us a good Base Attack and a fairly high Critical Chance rate, as Lyney uses her skills she will gain Attack bonuses thanks to the passive of this bow.
- Aqua Simulacra ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ : Provides an exaggerated amount of Critical Damage and increases the damage caused by the character by 20% when an enemy is near us, the only bad thing is that it has a very low Base Attack to compensate.
- Bow of Amos ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ : This bow increases our base +12% damage to Charged Attacks, additionally it gives us +8% damage for every 0.1 seconds that the arrow remains in the air before hit the enemy.
- Heavenly Wings ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ : It is one of the five-star bows with the highest Base Attack in the game, it gives us a moderate amount of Critical Chance as a secondary stat and its passive will increase our Critical Damage a bit.
- Descendant of the Scorching Sun ⭐⭐⭐⭐: The Critical Chance provided by this bow is somewhat low, but it makes up for it with its passive that will allow us to increase the damage of Charged Attacks received by the enemy by 28% for 10 seconds when being hit by one of these attacks.
- Tranquility Serenade ⭐⭐⭐⭐: Increases all damage generated by its wearer when he receives a heal.
- Demon Slayer ⭐⭐⭐⭐: This bow boosts the damage of Charged Attacks a lot, especially if we have the Definitive Ability charged; Since Lyney has a very low Ulti cost and is used on Monopyro teams, she will be able to take advantage of this bonus optimally and get the most out of this bow.
- Arc of the Dark Rock ⭐⭐⭐⭐: We can get it in the Paimon Bargains; it offers us a high Base Attack within the arcs of four stars, a medium amount of Critical Damage and we will accumulate Attack bonuses when eliminating enemies.
- Bow of the Emerald Green Huntress ⭐⭐⭐⭐: His passive is not too good, but we can equip it to our Lyney if he is low on Critical Chance.
- Moonlight Prototype ⭐⭐⭐⭐: An F2P bow that we can manufacture in the forge; on his R5, increases the wearer’s Attack % by 72% for 10 seconds when hitting an enemy in their weak spot.
The bows that give her Critical Chance, such as the Bow of the Emerald Green Huntress or the North Star, should only be equipped in the event that Lyney does not go with the Ghost Hunter artifact set, since this gives her a lot of Critical Chance and scale with the same stat.
BEST ARTIFACTS
As for stats on artifacts:
- Helmet or Crown : Critical Chance or Critical Damage.
- Clock : Attack %.
- Chalice : Pyro Damage Bonus.
Substats you are looking for:
- Priority: Critical Chance, Critical Damage, Attack % and Energy Recharge.
And as for the Set of Artifacts we recommend the following options:
- Ghost Hunter :
- 2 Pieces : +15% damage to Normal and Charged Attacks.
- 4 Pieces : +12% Critical Chance when character’s Health increases or decreases, this effect can stack up to 3 times with each stack lasting 5 seconds.
On the one hand, the two-piece set will increase the damage of the Charged Attacks that Lyney executes when shooting her hidden magic arrows by 15%, so it will allow us to increase the damage caused by her most daily attacks, since we will be executing Attacks Constantly charged to summon hats and get charges of the effect that increases the damage of the elemental while allowing us to recover Life.
On the other hand, the four-piece set will increase Lyney’s Critical Chance by 12% each time he heals or suffers losses. Although he can lose Life on his own executing his Charged Attacks, it is best that we accompany him with a healer that constantly heals him to maintain these charges for as long as possible, since they only last 5 seconds each and Charged Attacks from Lyney take a while to load.
- Virtuous Lava Runner :
- 2 Pieces : +40% to Pyro Resistance.
- 4 Pieces : +35% Damage against enemies affected by Pyro.
The bonus of the two pieces gives us completely the same, but the bonus that the set of the 4 pieces gives us will increase the damage produced by Lyney’s attacks by 35% almost constantly, since when going in a monopyro team, enemies will be affected by the Pyro Release on a constant basis.
BEST TEAMMATES
These are some of the characters that can join Lyney in her team:
- Pyro Characters : We will need to bring at least two other characters of this element so that Lyney can keep the enemies affected by Pyro and increase the damage dealt to them thanks to the effects of her passive.
- Bennett : Probably his best teammate, because of all the support he gives him: he increases his Attack while on his Ulti and at the same time, gives him a heal with this same ability (by continuously healing, Lyney will be able to continue getting charges of his effect to deal increased damage when spent executing his Elemental Ability) and will also help him recharge energy.
- Xiangling : Xiangling’s Pyronado is a great source of passive damage for Lyney’s monopyro team, plus we won’t have a problem having Xiangling’s Ulti always ready on this team.
- Dehya : The fiery encirclement of his Elemental Skill will perform a coordinated attack that deals passive damage when enemies within it take damage.
- Thoma : This character doesn’t have much synergy with Lyney, but at least we can take him as a squire.
- Anemo Characters : It will be very useful for us to put at least one character of the Anemo element to control the enemies and lower Pyro’s Resistance with the help of Emerald Green Shadow .
- Kazuha : It is one of the best Supports for Lyney, since it can give her a very high Pyro Damage Bonus (if we take Kazuha with a lot of Elemental Mastery), it brings enemies together very well when using her Elemental Ability and it will help us lower the Pyro resistance from enemies.
- Lynette : Her Ultimate Ability is quite durable and will allow us to reduce the Pyro Resistance of the enemies for a long time even if this character is not active on the field, the bad thing is that she gives an Attack boost based on the elemental diversity of the team and Lyney is played on monopyro teams.
- Jean : If we don’t have Bennett in our team, we can take her to take the position of healer and lower the Pyro Resistance of the enemies with the area that she creates when using her Ultimate Ability.
- Geo Characters : It will allow us to perform Crystallization to obtain shields that will help Lyney not be interrupted while charging his hidden magic arrows.
- Zhongli : Provides a very resistant shield when using his Elemental Ability that will prevent enemies from interrupting Lyney while he executes his Charged Attack and if we are close to enemies while we have the shield active, their Elemental and Physical Resistances will decrease by a twenty%.
