FIEROVARG GUIDE IN OCTOPATH TRAVELER 2

FIEROVARG GUIDE IN OCTOPATH TRAVELER 2

This time we will face Fierovarg , a big wolf (aka Legoshi for friends) that we will have to defeat at the end of chapter 1 of the story of the cleric Temenos in Octopath Traveler 2 , a character that I highly recommend.

The encounter will be quite simple because the truth is that Temenos is a very independent character thanks to his healing abilities and his powerful light magic, but we will also have the help of the Templar Crick for this battle, which will be of enormous help to us.

Said wolf is the cause of the murder of the Pontiff, which will lead Temenos to carry out an investigation in order to find out the truth about what happened. But in this post we will focus on the battle against Fierovarg.

PREVIOUS TIPS

It is true that the battle is quite simple so you don’t really need much for its preparation, but anyway I highly recommend that you buy a good staff for Temenos in the Sacrapira shop, I specifically recommend the Stone Staff, it will be very noticeable in battle, you’ll see.

For the rest, any level that you acquire prior to the battle will be very useful. As for the investment of PT points, I didn’t need them for this battle but feel free to acquire whatever skill you want with them.

FIEROVARG WEAKNESSES

These are Fierovarg’s relevant weaknesses in this battle:

  • Swords : It’s the type of weapon that Templar Crick carries, so great for us.
  • Light : Temenos has the Holy Light ability to take advantage of this weakness.

Some weaknesses very consistent with what we have.

STRATEGY TO DEFEAT HIM

Crick will play the stunner by hitting Fierovarg with his sword, you should invest all his turns in damaging Fierovarg’s shield, use the basic attack for it.

Meanwhile, Temenos will deal a ton of damage with Holy Light. His thing is that you accumulate momentum and when you manage to stun Fierovarg with Crick’s attacks (see using Crick’s impulse points to speed up the process) you use Holy Light (so you will save AP, which you will need) with the maximum possible impulse to do a lot of damage to the boss.

Feel free to use Cure Wounds to heal your party whenever necessary, but don’t spend your momentum on it, it’s not necessary, save them to use Holy Light when the boss is stunned. You can also use items if things get sticky, but it shouldn’t be necessary.

The Temenos Potential will be very useful when it jumps since it will allow us to stun the enemies we hit regardless of the source of damage or the shield the enemy has, so I recommend that you take advantage of it by using a staff hit so as not to spend PH and after stunning him, well, you know, Holy Light.
