DOOMSDAY BEAST GUIDE ON HONKAI STAR RAIL

The Doomsday Beast will be the first boss we will face in Honkai Star Rail during the main mission of the Pathfinder. Even so, when we defeat her we will not be able to have her immediately as a Weekly Boss, we will have to advance in the main mission until we defeat Cocolia, Mother of Falsehoods.

This beast is protected by an antimatter engine and two hands, the right hand imbued with the Imaginary Element and the left hand with the Quantum Element. In order to defeat this enemy we will have to first defeat these three components, once we eliminate them we can hit the boss without offering any resistance.

Of course, this combat has two phases that are the same in terms of the development of the combat, but with slight changes in the attacks of each component that protects the enemy. The most efficient thing for this combat if you don’t have enough is to eliminate the arms first to prevent them from doing more damage than necessary and to leave the antimatter engine for last.

WEEKLY BOSS LOCATION AND UNLOCK REQUIREMENTS

To be able to face the Doomsday Beast as a Weekly Boss we will have to have reached at least level 24 of Pathfinder and have come to face Cocolia as a boss during the main mission of Pathfinder (the combat is the same both in the story and in your weekly challenge).

The door of the Echoes of War of this Weekly Boss is called ” The Beginning of Destruction ” and is located in the Herta Space Station, specifically in the eastern area of ​​the Supply Zone.

ATTACK GUIDE

These are all the attacks that the components can perform during their first phase:

  • Leviathan’s Power : The Doomsday Beast will shield itself in its right hand, left hand, and antimatter engine; until these are not destroyed it will be invulnerable.
  • Hard Cuts : The enemy will perform a sweep with his right hand that will inflict a little Imaginary Damage to the entire group, this attack can imprison any member of the group.
  • Tear of Calamity : The same attack as the previous one, but without being able to imprison any character.
  • Visit of the Fallen Star : The left hand will rise to smash a party member dealing Quantum Damage with a small chance to entangle them.
  • Fallen Hammer of the Forge : This attack is the same as the previous one, but without having the possibility of entangling any character.
  • Void Fission : Grants an empowered state to the right hand that regenerates its steadfastness gauge.
  • Dire Attack : Gives an empowered state to the left hand that regenerates its stamina bar.
  • Total Annihilation : The three components come together to crush an ally of the group in a kind of sphere of Imaginary Damage.

Some of the moves from the previous phase are kept in the second phase and the following are added:

  • The Fall of Tyranny : The enemy will perform a right hand sweep that will deal some Imaginary Damage to the entire party, this attack has a higher chance than its other version to inflict imprisonment.
  • Dark Dawn : The left hand will rise to smash a party member dealing Quantum Damage with a higher chance to entangle any member of the attack than with his other version of this attack.
  • Harbinger of the Cataclysm : Goes into recharge mode to execute Impending End on its next turn.
  • Impending End : A powerful attack that deals Imaginary Damage to the entire party, he will use it upon entering the second phase and the next turn after using the Cataclysm Precursor move. This attack cannot be parried either by destroying an arm or by destroying all of the component’s stamina bars.
  • Engine Boost : Power up both hands and restore steadiness bars that have been destroyed.

ENEMY WEAKNESSES AND RECOMMENDED CHARACTERS

The antimatter engine is vulnerable to the following elements:

  • fire .
  • physical .

The right hand is weak against these elements:

  • fire .
  • ice .

And finally, the left hand is vulnerable to these two elements:

  • fire .
  • wind .
Himeko on Honkai Star Rail

These are the characters that we recommend the most according to their routes :

  • 1 Destruction/Erudition : All components are vulnerable to the Fire Element , which is why it will be key to have a character on our team who applies this element in the area.
    • Himeko : As this time the boss is vulnerable to the Fire Element in all its components, Himeko will be the best candidate when creating Weakness Breaks, since both her Basic Ability and her Ultimate Ability and her Talent spam Fire  Damage to multiple enemies.
    • Hook : Although in principle Hook can only hit an enemy with his Basic Ability, after using his ult he will be able to inflict Fire Damage to up to three targets at a time, which will be useful for us to lower the strength bars of the three components to the time.
    • Herta : It is not the best option but it is a character that will hit all the components several times, since every time we lower the life of the enemies below 50%, Herta will make an additional attack.
  • 1 Hunting : To deal a lot of damage to each component.
    • Dan Heng : Although only the left hand is vulnerable to Wind Release, we can use the damage from his ult and his Basic Ability to deal a moderate amount of damage to each component so we can destroy them.
    • Sushang : A more affordable four-star Physical DPS; he has an Ultimate Ability that deals quite high damage to an enemy and his Basic Ability can activate an effect that will allow him to deal an additional hit every time we manage to activate it.
  • 1 Nihility/Harmony : We will cover this gap with a character that gives us certain advantages to the group or that applies harmful states to the enemy.
    • Asta : We are very interested in the increase in Speed ​​that he will bring to the party with his ult and the application of the Fire Element for the breaks of the strength bar of the components; even so, Asta’s Basic Ability distributes its hits among all the components and will not apply enough, so it is recommended to bring another character of the same Element so that we can apply enough Elemental Damage to generate the breaks.
    • Bronya : Bronya’s Basic Ability can free us from the states of imprisonment or entanglement applied by the enemy (in addition to bonusing the damage of the character from whom we remove these effects) and on top of that, her ulti allows us to increase the Attack and Critical Damage of everything the group.
    • Sampo : The most interesting thing about Sampo will be his ult, which will affect all enemies and apply a debuff to them that will make enemies take more damage for 2 turns.
    • Pela : He is a very good debuffer , he can remove buffs from enemies with his Basic Ability while applying Ice Damage and with his Ultimate Ability he can lower the Defense of all enemies on the field for two turns.
  • 1 Abundance/Conservation : To preserve the health of party members.
    • Pathfinder Fire : In addition to taunting the enemy to focus attacks on him and lowering the damage taken by him, the Conservation version of Pathfinder can deal quite interesting damage with his ult and Basic Attack, which is of interest to us, since everyone boss components are vulnerable to Fire Element.
    • Natasha : With her Basic Ability she will be able to attend to the member of the team that is most harmed, her Ultimate Ability will help the entire group to recover and if at some point we do not need healing, she can give a couple of Basic Attacks to the antimatter engine to cause it to break of weakness
    • March Seven : His Basic Ability will be able to create a shield for a single ally, but this will have a better chance of being the target of enemy attacks.
    • Gepard : This character has a Definitive Ability that will allow us to put shields that will last 3 turns (or until they are broken) to the entire party ; if Gepard were to be defeated, he possesses a talent that will allow him to resurrect himself once per battle.
