by In this post we will see the locations and the way to defeat the eight Local Legends of Fontaine in Genshin Impact , these legends are special monsters that will give us an achievement and a valuable chest for each one we defeat.
The fights against these creatures will not be ordinary, since six of these legends are found in the depths of the Fontaine waters and we will need to borrow the powers of the Chromatic Animals in order to defeat these powerful enemies.
Don’t underestimate the two legends on the land side of Fontaine for having a normal fight, as they deal tremendous damage and have an unusual amount of health. With that said, let’s see where to find each of these Fontaine Local Legends and how to deal with them.
ITINERANT JUDGE OF THE NETHERPLAIN
- Achievement : Defeat the local legend known as the ‘Roaming Judge of the Nether Plain’.
We will begin by defeating the Itinerant Judge of the Abyssal Plain, which, as its name suggests, is located in the southern part of the Abyssal Plain Salacia. We will recognize it very easily, since it is a huge crab with a purple shell.
To deal with this enemy we will have to borrow the power of a Chromatic Armored Crab that is near the area, since the way to defeat it will be to hold down the shield and wait until the right moment of its attack to release the ability and generate it a parry that will do a lot of damage.
FADED VETERAN
- Achievement : Defeat the local legend known as “Faded Veteran”.
Next we will go to the teleportation point that is located in the southern part of the Elton Trench, then we will have to dive almost to the bottom of the sea to find a larger than usual seal that will be the legend known as Vanished Veteran.
To defeat him, we will have to appropriate the powers of one of the seals that are around, since this enemy becomes invisible and attacks us with a kind of waves. SWORDSMEN OF THE VALLEY
- Achievement : Defeat the local legends known as “Swordsmen of the Valley”.
Just to the west of the teleportation point located in the Thálatta Ocean Basin we will meet the next local legend called the Swordsmen of the Valley. This time the Local Legend is made up of two rays called Cortana and Murgleis that will attack us by throwing at us a kind of aquatic blades that inflict a lot of damage.
Attacking these enemies directly will hardly hurt them, so we will have to wait for a kind of link between them with a sphere in the middle (similar to Fontamarinas Algae) to appear and break it using the Chromatic Predator Ray ability.
VIVIANNE, LADY OF THE LAKE
- Achievement : Defeat the local legend known as “Vivianne, Lady of the Lake”.
This is one of the two local legends of Fontaine that are not found underwater, we can find Vivianne to the northwest of the teleportation point that is located near the Domain called «Reverberation of the Tides» (the one that gives us drops to go up weapons).
Vivianne possesses the form of a Slimewraith, is immune to Hydro Damage and Freeze status . Don’t be fooled by this enemy, she has some devastating area attacks and an unusual amount of Health, she is much more difficult to defeat than any World Boss.
DOBHAR-CHU, KING OF THE UNSEEN
- Achievement : Defeat the local legend known as “Dobhar-chú, King of the Occult”.
To meet Dobhar-chú, King of the Occult we just have to go to the teleportation point of the Path of Hope and swim almost until we reach the coast; don’t forget to grab the Chromatic Bloated Seal’s power before you get to him.
This enemy is another giant seal that also disappears from time to time to complicate the fight, so we will have to pay close attention to its waves to discover its location and use the power of the Chromatic Bloated Seal to cancel its invisibility.
NINIANNE, LADY OF THE LAKE
- Achievement : Defeat the local legend known as “Ninianne, Lady of the Lake”.
If after defeating Dobhar-chú we surface and swim a little towards the coast to the west, we will immediately meet another of Fontaine’s Local Legends called Ninniane, Lady of the Lake.
It is another annoying Slimy Anima that will cost us a lot to defeat, the best Elements to fight it will be Dendro, Electro and Pyro. Note that like the other Local Legend named Vivianne, this enemy is also immune to Hydro Damage and can’t be frozen.
VISCOUNT IRONSKIN
- Achievement : Defeat the local legend known as “Viscount Ironskin”.
Next we will go to the lake that is in Elynas, in this part we will have to solve the mechanism of the area so that a ring of water comes out that will automatically direct us to the underwater cave where this Local Legend is hidden of Fontaine.
This enemy is another giant crab with a purple shell, so the fight will be exactly the same as the previous crab, we will have to keep the Chromatic Armored Crab’s ability pressed until the enemy hits us and then release it in the direction of the enemy to hit him and repeat this until the enemy is defeated.
TWIN FAERIE KNIGHTS
- Achievement : Defeat the local legends known as “Twin Faerie Knights”.
Finally, we will go to the Domain called “Albuginea Posthumous Glory” (the one of Fontaine’s Talents) to return to the Salacian Abyssal Plain, because if we swim a little to the east from this point and climb almost to the surface, we will we will meet this latest Fontaine Local Legend.
