by The Daughters of Mourning are a type of bedridden girls that Penitente must find in Blasphemous 2 and interact with them to extinguish a candle that they always have in front of the bed. This will allow us to carry out a series of battles in “Streets of Wakes” by talking to an NPC that we will call “the Mother of Mourning.”
The fact is that these Daughters of Mourning are quite hidden, especially some of them, so it will be somewhat complex to find them all. So in this post I leave you the exact location of each of them (there are 5 in total) with an explanation of the things you will have to take into account to find them. Below you will also have all the rewards that we will obtain by overcoming the battles that we will have to carry out when speaking with the Mother of Mourning after finding one of her daughters; The truth is that they are quite worth it.

Below is the location of each of the Daughters of Mourning:
DAUGHTER #1: BARS AND RUIN
The first and easiest is in “Rejas y Ruina” (you know, to the right of the “City of the Holy Name”) right where I mark in the photo above. The only requirement is that you need the Double Jump skill to be able to reach the area. Since I already have a post where I show the location of all the Skills in the game, I’ll leave it here . You will have to speed up the jump quite a bit, but it can be done.
DAUGHTER #2: RAISED TEMPLES
The second is located in “Elevated Temples” right where I mark the photo with the person icon and with the background of the square in blue. As you can see, it is in the area that is furthest to the northwest.
I have also marked an “x” in the photo since you will have to go there to activate one of those statues that activate mechanisms. In this case you will have to activate the mechanism to raise a platform, go down the stairs, go to the right and make a diving jump with Pray to Dawn and that’s it.

DAUGHTER #3: CORONA DE TORRES
The next daughter is in “Corona de Torres” (the Lesmes area ), my recommendation is that you follow the route that I have marked in the photo. Basically you have to go along the path on the right that leads to “Corona de Torres” from the “Basilica of the Absent Faces” and after this go up in a somewhat complex but possible jump .
To make the jump in question correctly you need the ” air dash “, you have it right in the area below and if it is not clear to you you have it in the location post of all the Skills that I have linked in the daughter above. The case, the jump in question: You jump, cross the wall with the aerial dash and then with the double jump you grab the top part; Written like that it is a bit confusing, but when you go to the area you will understand.
DAUGHTER #4: BASILICA OF THE ABSENT FACES
We have another one in the “Basilica of the Absent Faces”, specifically in the highest part of the area, very close to where we face “ Benedicta, of the Perpetual Prayer ”. I have marked the path for you from the Prie Dieu (the sanctuary checkpoint ) since it is the fastest way to get there as long as you have already unlocked the teleport between Prie Dieus (if you don’t have it, look at the Sisters ‘ post because that improvement is worth its weight in gold).
It won’t be the photo in which I have had the most pulse, but hey, you see what is more or less the path you have to follow. The part about going up to go back down is because you have to activate the typical rope switch to open the area where the Daughter of Mourning is.
Oh yes, I almost forgot, you need the “Protection of the Kindred” Skill (the one from the Cherub Rings).
DAUGHTER #5: SUNKEN CATHEDRAL
The last of all the Daughters is perhaps the most difficult to find of all since it involves two different areas and a path hidden behind the typical “invisible wall” .
In the photo you have the more or less exact route (they look like some tacky scribbles, they are, but that is the route), as you can see you will have to start at “La Torre Cercenada” and go along a path that you probably have not unlocked yet if you are reading this; You will simply have to hit the typical wall in the area on the right and you will enable it.
After this we will arrive at the “Sunken Cathedral” where we will have to use the Skill of the Cherub Rings to activate a mechanism that will open the door that allows us to reach this daughter (from the same area but going down and to the left).
REWARDS FOR MOURNING BATTLES
These are the rewards that we will obtain by overcoming the battles that we started by talking to the Mother of Mourning. With each Daughter we find we can carry out a new battle and it will become more difficult each time (they are not too complicated anyway):
- Tirso Figure : +10% damage when at full health.
- «The Thirst» Figure : +20% damage when you have no Bile Flasks left.
- Empty Receptacle : To have more Bile Flasks.
- Ornate Chalice : To increase Penitent’s health.
- Lebeche Figure : Increases our critical chance by 10%.
